We know how difficult masculine projects can be, so today we have a few different introductions that will make you sigh with relief! Betsy Veldman’s Words To Live By set for the month celebrates the value of hard work with a versatile collection of greetings you’ll turn to again and again. Her Shape Shifters: Square 1 die features unique geometric style ideal for tricky masculine projects and lovely feminine projects alike. Use one, two, or three layers of this handy die for a variety of looks. Lizzie Jones’s Corner Adorner set for this month fits perfectly into the square design. This month’s edition features two rustic, distressed designs that can be layered or stamped independently to help you achieve an array of styles.

Lizzie also has a collection coming this month that’s ideal for the well-dressed men in your life. Dapper Chap includes several playfully patterned bow ties with a simple two-step design. The included sentiments will have you covered for everything from birthday to wedding and graduation. The set pairs seamlessly with her new Shape Up Series: Tuxedo Gift Card Holder die. Imagine giving your gift cards in packaging that is dressed to impress. It’s not a lofty daydream any longer! With this die, you can create an elegant tuxedo or handsome tweed suit in mere moments! We’ve delayed long enough. Let’s take a closer look!

Now that we’ve made all of the formal introductions, let’s get onto the projects!

Michelle-Leone

Michelle Leone is featuring Corner Adorner: April + Words to Live By: Work + Shape Shifters: Square 1.

The strong color scheme of Michelle’s card makes it perfect for a fella! This card would be ideal for congratulating a graduate, especially if it were created in school-specific colors. Using the bold color as the focal point really draws your eye toward the greeting!
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Words to Live By: Work, Sentiment Staples: Congratulations
  • INKS: Versafine Watermark ink
  • PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Scarlet Jewel, Smokey Shadow, Bitty Big: Smokey Shadow
  • DIES: Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical, Shape Shifters: Square 1, Words To Live By: Work
  • OTHER: Misc. twine (black & white)
Michelle’s choice to use pops of Scarlet Jewel really warms up her design and helps define the different layers. The touches of Smokey Shadow also help tie everything together. Not only that, but she cleverly created a coordinating tag while she already had the supplies out and at hand. So smart!
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Words to Live By: Work, Corner Adorner: April, Fence Line: Spring, Stitching Garden
  • INKS: Smokey Shadow, Scarlet Jewel, Honey Nut, Prairie Grass
  • PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Smokey Shadow, Honey Nut, Bitty Big: Honey Nut
  • DIES: Shape Shifters: Square 1, Stitching Garden, Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical, Fence Line: Spring, Tag Sale #10
  • Other: Misc. twine, A Muse Slate ink

Michelle’s third card is so fresh and bursting with springtime style! The gems she used to embellish the flowers add just a hint of sparkle and the organic shape of the botanicals softens the geometric lines in the Shape Shifter: Square 1 pattern for a delicate, feminine project.
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Corner Adorner: April, Stitching Garden, Botanical Bounty
  • INKS: Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse
  • PAPER:  Fresh Snow Linen, Stamper’s Select Vellum, Pale Peony, Bitty Big: Pale Peony
  • DIES: Shape Shifter: Square 1, Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical, Stitching Garden, Botanical
  • Bounty
  • OTHER:  Pretty Pink Posh Jewels (pink blush)

Lizzie-Jones

Lizzie Jones is featuring Dapper Chap + Shape Up Series: Tuxedo Gift Card Holder + Perfect Plaid.

Lizzie has always loved building a pattern and that’s totally evident on this card. She really played with color, pairing both typical and less traditionally masculine colors for a card that feels manly, but light-hearted and cheerful. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to color. The results can be a whole lot of fun!

Supplies:

  • STAMPS: Dapper Chap
  • INK: Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Ocean Tides, Pinefeather, Fresh Snow
  • CARDSTOCK: The New Gray, Simply Chartreuse, White
  • DIES: Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical, Tag Sale #10, Double Ended Banner
  • OTHER: Scotch Foam Tape

Lizzie’s simple Father’s Day card manages to pack plenty of style into a classically clean design. The bright bow tie stands out nicely against the neutrals she used on her card. Keeping the plaid stenciling subtle is a good way to avoid any potential conflict with the pattern on the bow tie.

  • CARDSTOCK: Classic Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Rustic White
  • DIES: Dapper Chap, Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical
  • OTHER: Perfect Plaid Stencil Collection, Scotch Foam Tape

The Shape Up Series: Tuxedo Gift Card Holder doesn’t just have to be a tuxedo! Lizzie’s plaid jacket and herringbone vest make for a charming presentation that’s a bit more casual. Imagine the quirky pattern possibilities!
