I guess some time before tomorrow I’d need to make my final decision, but it would be between Alaska and the UK. The stunning beauty of Alaska calls to me with its awe-inspiring glaciers, sparkling blue water and rugged terrain. Then there is the stark beauty of the Highlands of Scotland, which I’ve longed to visit, down through the Lowlands, which captured my heart when I visited 26 years ago, and on into England, which continues the glorious gardens, intriguing history and diverse culture. Oh, and cream tea. Looks like I’ve decided, I’m saving Alaska for another trip and heading across The Pond.

I would go to Italy for sure. A few years ago I was going through chemo and on bad days my husband would say think of us somewhere nice that the two of us can go when this is over. He asked me what I was thinking and I said Italy at a sidewalk café having a glass of wine or gelato and he said I did not mean a place that would cost so much. Well we are saving and hoping to go in 2016.

I would go to Germany as this is where my mom was born and raised. We were unable to go as we were growing up as we didn’t have the money.

I would go to Michigan. Where my mom and dad and brothers are. We live on opposite coasts and just don’t get to see each other enough. I miss them and would go there today if I could!

Knee jerk reaction would be Australia/New Zealand…cool, green, mountainous…but then, if I go anywhere, I assume I’m on vacation? Not having to work? So home would be my destination…home to create! (while everyone thinks I am somewhere else)

I would travel to Holland in hopes of learning more about my ancestors and how exactly our last name was really spelled! Bit of confusion surrounds that pesky spelling thing since Ellis Island. Then we would travel to Greece to visit my husband’s family and of course take in all the history we could absorb.
