Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Lots of Love Card

For my first project I decided to pair up the gorgeous new Phrase Play #6 collection with Wet Paint Alphabet!

Sending you

One of the things I love about the Phrase Play series is that each set gives you everything you need to create a card, all of the bits and pieces fitting together like a jigsaw puzzle taking the guesswork out of everything.  Here I cut the main portion of the die from Classic Kraft cardstock.  I then cut the interior pieces from Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise.  After adhering everything together I stamped the "lots of love" companion sentiment.  I wrapped and tied a bit of crochet thread around the left hand side.

Xoxo

I used cardstock strips to create angled stripes at the top of my card.  Underneath the stripes I added a row of xoxo's using the fabulous new Wet Paint Alphabet in Charcoal Palette ink.

Down

I just love the colors used here as well as the angle everything is placed at.

Sending Holiday Cheer Card

Note Niblets, the new set from Melissa Bickford, is a fantastic all-inclusive set that really gives you endless options for card making year round.  Including the upcoming holidays!  Here I decided to make a little Christmas card pairing her set up with Phrase Play #6.  I die-cut the phrase frame from white cardstock ro begin.

Sentiment

I backed the frame with Soft Stone cardstock and heat embossed this stylish sentiment from Note Niblets with White Filigree Embossing Powder.  One of my favorite things about this frame is the preforated portion at the bottom.  I added the date here in True Black ink.

Faux washi

There is a a great striped border included in Note Niblets which I stamped in Pure Poppy ink and used as a piece of faux washi tape by tearing the ends.

Holly

The holly accent was created with stamps and dies from Note Niblets as well.  A few drops of Glossy Accents helped to make the holly berries shine.

Down

Everything was adhered at a slight angle on a crisp white card base.

Thinking About You Ticket Card

To help show the versatility of Note Niblets, I thought I would create something a bit shabby chic.  I started by stamping Polka Dots III onto my Aqua Mist card base using Vintage Cream ink.

Ticket

I die-cut the Big Ticket Basics ticket from Vintage Cream cardstock and added the basic border from the new Big Ticket Additions using Hawaiian Shores ink.  I added the sentiment from Note Niblets as well as a few staples for character.  I swiped the Tea Dye Duo ink around the outside edge to help give it that shabby chic feel.

Flowers

The flowers were all die-cut and stamped using bits and pieces from Note Niblets as well.  I used a fine tip black pen to add a few dots to the center of each flower and to help tie in the black used to stamp part of the sentiment.

Down

You could easily swap out the sentiment on this card for others included in Note Niblets!

Modern Florals Card

Now for something with a bit more of a modern look and feel using Note Niblets.

Focal

I stamped the stripe border in Simply Chartreuse to represent grass.  Then added the flowers and leaves from there. I used a fine point black pen again to add dot details to the centers of the flowers to help tie in the black sentiment (from Keep It Simple: Thinking of You).

Down

I tied the front panel with a length of white crochet thread and finished it with a bow.

Monogram Notecard Set

How about a little set of monogram notecards?  The new Wet Paint Alphabet allows you to monogram things with style!

Monogram

I started with New Leaf cardstock and heat embossed the monogram at the top with White Filigree Embossing Powder.  I then used a white gel pen and ruler to draw my border.  The New Leaf layer was matted with Tropical Teal to make the overall size of the notecard A2.

Tag clpseup

I wrapped the stack of notecards with a strip of Raspberry Fizz bitty dot paper  and tied it with Raspberry Fizz Baker's Twine.  The tag was created with another one of the amazing images from Note Niblets, which I paper pieced.  I embellished the "paper" with a few stamps from Note Niblets as well as a little "with love" stamp from the set To You From Me.  Would make such a cute little gift!

Hello Daffodil Card

I know there will be several customers excited about the new Year of Flowers Collection dies!  I know I am!  I could hardly wait to put it to use!  I decided to work with the daffodil first, one of my favorites from the set.

Daffodil

I die-cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.

Sentiment ticket

I die-cuut the ticket from Classic Kraft cardstock and then heat embossed it with another of the great frames from the new Big Ticket Additions set, using White Filigree Embossing Powder.  I then stamped "there" underneath in True Black.

Down

For the background, I impressed the white cardstock with the Argyle Impression Plate.  You could recreate this easy design with ANY of the flowers from this set!

Stitched Thinking of You card

I have one more simple little card for you using the Year of Flowers Collection and the new dies.  I started with the Tipped Tops die and Ocean Tides cardstock.  I then die-cut the flower shape from the edge of it, adding a little stitching detail with a white gel pen.  It was adhered to my white card base with foam tape.

Flowers

The carnations were die-cut again, this time in Classic Kraft.  I stamped the coordinating image in Fresh Snow and colored it with Copic markers.  I then adhered it directly to the white card base through the die-cut opening, allowing it to lay lower than the Tipped Top.

Sentiment

The sentiment was added from Keep It Simple: Thinking of You in Fresh Snow.

How do you do it month after month? To say that you have become the trend setters in the stamping would be an understatement! The wet alphabet….genius. Yay for the ‘Flower of the Month’ dies.

The United States set….holy smokes! Can’t believe that leap of creativity. Just looking at the 48 state die, makes visions of 4th of July cards go nuts in my brain. The detail in these dies is awesome…like Alaska, which would be a real toughie to design.
