Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Floral Thanks Card

For my first project I thought the handpainted look of Garden Grace would complement the brushstrokes used in the new Wet Paint stamp set.

Flowers

I double stamped all of the Garden Grace flowers using two shades of colors.  Pure Poppy paired with Raspberry Fizz, Tropical Teal paired with Hawaiian Shores and Summer Sunrise paired with Orange Zest.  the Pure Poppy/Raspberry Fizz combination was stamped with the large arrangement of flowers, while the other colors were done with some of the single blooms.  The leaves were added using Simply Chartreuse and the flower centers in True Black.

Sentiment

The "thanks" sentiment from Wet Paint was added in True Black ink right on top of the floral images.  I just LOVE the size of these sentiments.  Big enough to stand on their own but small enough that they can be paired well with other images.  I added a strip of Raspberry Fizz cardstock and added the companion sentiment to that in True Black ink as well.

Down

I decided to keep things nice and clean by mounting the card front onto a white card base.

Hello Lovely Card

I seem to always forget about stamping on neutrals other than white, so I opted to pull out Classic Kraft for my next card.

String & flowers

I stamped the large flowers from Rosie Posie in Orange Zest and used the shading image from Rosie Posie Step 2 with Terracotta Tile ink.  The leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse and the shading was done with Ripe Avocado.  I love how these colors look stamped on the Classic Kraft, it has a nice muted tone to it.

Sentiment

The sentiment from Wet Paint was added directly to the card front with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Filigree Embossing Powder.

Down

I wrapped a piece of white crochet thread around the center twice and finished it with a bow.

Ombre Happy Birthday Card

I got out the new Polka Dot Basics III to create this ombre birthday card.

Two step dots

I stamped the smallest dots from the set in strips, doing two impression in each color.  From the top I used Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal and Pinefeather.  I went back in and added some of the new two-step pattern dots here and there, using a darker shade to acheive the look.

Sentiment

For the sentiment, I inked the whole "happy" stamp with Hawaiian Shores and then inked just the top portion with Tropical Teal to get an ombre look.  I then added "birthday" underneath that with Pinefeather.

Down

The sentiment strip was adhered in place with foam tape for dimension.

Enjoy Your Day Card

I wanted to experiment with embossing powder and Wet Paint together on my next project.

Sentiment

I stamped "enjoy" from Wet Paint in VersaMark and then sprinkled three different colors of Zing! embossing powder onto the word and then heating them.  The companion sentiment was added to a strip of vellum cardstock using Noir Palette ink.  The strip was stapled in place.

Embossed dots

On the Harvest Gold background, I heat embossed some of the pattern dots from Polka Dot Basics III using the same Zing! colors.  I also added some stars (Phrase Play #2) using white embossing powder.

Down

Everything was adhered to an Orange Zest card base.  I just love these bright sunshiney colors together!

Congratulations on Your New Home Card

Lizzie's new Putting Down Roots set is SO easy to use and is perfect was sweet & simple cards.

Plant

I stamped the pot here is Aqua Mist and added the plant portion in New Leaf.  The small flowers are from a new set, Embellished Elegance (more about it later in the week) and they are stamped in Blueberry Sky.  I added small dots of liquid pearls to the centers of each flower.

String

I trimmed the edge of the cardstock block with pinking shears and then tied it with some crochet thread.

Down

This was adhered to a simple Aqua Mist card base.

Welcome to the Neighborhood Card

And look at this cactus that is also in the set!

Cactus

I stamped the pot in Canyon Clay and then the cactus in Simply Chartreuse.  I added the two-step "needles" with Ripe Avocado ink!  The sweet little flower is stamped in Melon Berry.

Down

I added the sentiment in True Black and then used a ruler to add a border around the card front.  This was adhered to a Melon Berry card base.

I'll Always Love you Card

There is a GREAT Phrase Play this month!  It is really quite versatile and I think you'll have fun dreaming up all the possibilities!

Sentiment

I die-cut the Phrase Play #2 die from Simply Chartreuse and saved just the top banner portion to use for the "I'll" part of the sentiment.  "Always" was die-cut four times from Limeade Ice and adhered together for dimension.  "Love you" was added underneath that in Smokey Shadow ink.

Button stacks

I die-cut floral accents using both the original Button Stacks and the new Bitty Button Stacks so you could see them side by side.  I cut them from Spring Rain cardstock and tied them together with crochet thread.

Down

The leaves (from Happiness in Bloom) were stamped in Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse.  The whole piece was adhered to a Spring Rain card base.

I'll Always Be Grateful Card

For this card using Phrase Play #2, I decided to keep several of the die-cut pieces and just add definition with dimension.

Sentiment

I colored my cardstock first using Copic markers (see supply list below for colors).  then I die-cut.  I removed the letterd from the top banner and the script word, but maintained all the other pieces.  the bottom part of the banner was heat embossed with the companion sentiment.

Down

The top banner portion and the bottom piece were both raised with foam tape.  I can imagine this done in several different color combinations!

Remember This Moment layout

(click photo above for larger view)

For my last project today I have a Monthly Moments pocket page layout to share with you.    We have a favorite pizza place near the school that we go to all the time after Owen's basketball games and I wanted to record a little soemthing about it since we have so many happy memories there.  I used the 6×8 album I have set up for family pages.

3x4s

The top two 3×4 cards on this first page are bright and colorful and completely handmade!  I love doing that, because I can customize my colors any way I wish!  The first card was stamped with the new Polka Dot Basics III.  I stamped the largest dots, using a different color for each row.  I then went back in and added the crosshatch pattern overlay to each dot using an ink shade darker. It is matted on a piece of Pure Poppy cardstock.

Always remember card

I die-cut the new Phrase Play #2 from Simply Chartreuse and saved the frame as my base, adhering it to white cardstock.  I then die-cut the "I'll" portion from Pure Poppy and "always" from Summer Sunrise.  I stamped over "always" with the crosshatch dot from Polka Dot Basics III in Orange Zest.  The companion sentiment was added in True Black.

Journaling card

I created my own 4×6 journal card using the new Journal Accessories set.  I stamped the lines in Soft Stone and then added the margin lines in Hawaiian Shores.    The date block was added to the corner using Pure Poppy ink.  I created a frame using the new Limitless Layers: 1-1/2" Square dies and Summer sunrise cardstock for the side of the card.  The frame holds a die-cut "A" from the Block Alphabet Upper die collection, done in Simply Chartreuse cardstock.

Dinner card

The top 4×6 card on the opposing page was created with strips of Hawaiian Shores cardstock adhered to a block of Tropical Teal.  I used the new Limitless Layers dies again to create this little mat set.  The white square is stamped with the silverware from Table Service, along with the word "dinner" from the same set.

Pizza photo

The bottom 4×6 pocket hold just a photo of the kids with their favorite pizza toppings.  I embellished the side directly on top of the page protector.

Love this arrows

I used Wet Paint to add the word "love" in Pure Poppy to this die-cut arrow from the Monthly Moments: March collection.  The green arrow is die-cut from Limeade Ice cardstock and stamped in Simply Chartreuse.  I also created a little heart accent with Polka Dot Basics III and a tiny heart from Phrase Play #2.
