When something new is designed by Erin Lincoln, you know it is going to be fabulous.  This new collection will certainly not disappoint!  Special Delivery is a truckload of fun and will put a smile on your face as you stamp the day away. By customizing the detailing of the basic truck shape, you can create a fleet of eleven different types of delivery vehicles, covering a broad range of occasions. This mutli-stamp approach brings the trucks to life in colorful detail. Round out a fun and delightfully playful project by teaming up your trucks with the Special Delivery Sentiments set.

The Details:

  • Special Delivery will be available for purchase on February 15th.
  • It will retail for $24.
  • Special Delivery contains a total of 35 images.  The basic truck stamp measures approximately 2 and 1/8 inches by 1 and 1/4 inches. The road border stamp measures approximately 5 inches by 3/4 inches. The movement lines measures approximately 2 inches by 1/4 inches. The truck satellite measures approximately 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches.
  • A coordinating die collection will be available for sale separately, retailing for $10.  This collection includes a set of 2 dies (single shape + 9 wired shapes).  2-1/8" x 1-3/8" (A), 2-3/8" x 1-7/8" (B)

Special Delivery Sentiments provides sweet and sassy word play to complement the delivery trucks in the Special Delivery stamp set. There are several unique ideas and phrases that can be used to create fresh takes for your standard card-giving occasions. The phrase "special delivery" comes in two sizes to give you creative flexibility and both fit nicely between the air mail slants. And with a little creative inspiration, these stamps and phrases can be used on the outside of mailed envelopes to make giving and getting cards and projects created with Special Delivery quite the everyday event.

The Details:

  • Special Delivery Sentiments will be available for purchase on February 15th.
  • It will retail for $15.
  • Special Delivery Sentiments contains a total of 32 images.  The large "special delivery" sentiment measures approximately 2 1/2 inches by 3/8 inches . The small "special delivery" sentiment measures approximately 1 3/4  inches by 1/4 inches. The phrase "so sorry life's been driving you crazy" measures approximately 2 1/2 inches by 1/4 inches. The "Good news travels fast.  Congratulations!" sentiment measures approximately 2 inches by 3/8 inches. And lastly, each diagonal element measures approximately 1 3/8 inches by 1/4 inches.

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Sweet Special Day Card

I just HAD to start with the ice cream truck becuase it is one of my favorites!

I started by creating this chalkboard inspired mat using True Black cardstock and the concepts Betsy Velman outlined in her chalkboard tutorial Make It Monday video several months ago.  I heat embossed elements from Strawberry Patch Sentiments onto the board using White Filigree Embossing Powder.  I then stamped a second time over everything using Fresh Snow ink, giving it the shadow effect.  I rubbed a little extra Fresh Snow ink around the perimeter to make it look as if there were a few chalk smudges.

Ice cream truck

Next, I created the truck.  It was die-cut from white cardstock and stamped with all of the various elements from the Special Delivery set.  I just cannot say enough good things about this collection!  Erin has though of every single detail and executed it to perfection!

I added Raspberry Fizz polka dot paper to the background and also die-cut a scalloped border (Be Happy dies) to the top using Limeade Ice cardstock.

Missing U Card

Now for a card that is perfect for a friend that is moving away.

I die-cut all of the letters from the Block Alphabet die using white cardstock.  I then adhered them in order in rows along the top half of this white card front, skipping the letter "u".

Missing arrow

I added the sentiment "missing" from Fillable Frames Additions 1 as well as the arrow from Destination.  This points to the moving van that features a large "U".  Therefore completeing the visial phrase, "Missing U".

Moving truck

The mocing truck is almost as cute as the ice cream truck!  I added stripes in Dark Chocolate and the remaining details in True Black.

A rainbow of stripes are displayed on the diagonal at the bottom of the card, using Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise and Simple Chartreuse.

Spevial Delivery Baby Card

If you are anything like me, you are always looking for creative ways to make baby cards, something outside of the standard ducks, rattles and the blue & pink.  This Special Delivery set has the perfect thing!

I stamped the main elements of this diaper service truck using VersaMark and heat embossing it with White Filigree Embossing Powder.  I then added the polks dot pattern layer with Fresh Snow ink.

I created this sentiment block with the "postal stripes" that are included in Special Delivery Sentiments and Spring Moss & Melon Berry inks.  The sentiment wa added in the center and the ends were trimmed with pinking shears.

An Aqua Mist card base finishes things up, stamped with Polka Dot Basics II using Fresh Snow ink.

Good News Travels Fast Card

Now, just look at this sweet news van I have created with this set!

News van

I stamped the outlines and main details in Charcoal Palette ink.  I then added the "accessories" in Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise.  "WPTI" totally makes me smile!  I love how she snuck that in there!

The Circle Scribbles reminded me of the invisible signal that might be generated by the satelite on the truck.  I stamped small circles in rows using a whole rainbow of colors, each one triple stamped without reinking to create a softer effect.
