Melissa Phillips celebrates the rich beauty of autumn with a cheerful card that’s bursting with seasonal color and charming details. 🍂🐦 Warm shades of golden yellow, soft purple, and earthy brown come together to create an inviting design featuring the adorable So Tweet bird, a bright sunflower, and layered textures that capture the cozy feeling of fall. From the softly stenciled Berry Branches background to the sparkling finishing touches, this project is a wonderful reminder that even subtle seasonal accents can make a handmade card feel extra special.
Melissa shares, “The many colors of Autumn are my favorite and so inspiring. I pulled in a few hints of Fall on my card today by using purples, orange, and bits of brown.”
STEP 1: Stencil white cardstock base using Berry Branches stencils. Splatter with Distress Spritz.
STEP 2: Cut bottom layer from Lilac Grace cardstock. Sponge Lilac Grace across top of layer and adhere to center of card.
STEP 3: Wrap scrunched seam binding around center of card and tie in a bow on right. Add Summer Sunrise to the top of second layer, splatter with Distress Spritz and adhere to center of card.
STEP 4: Die cut and stamp bird. Adhere to card front, slightly below and to the right of center.
STEP 5: Die cut and ink blend sunflower and leaves and adhere in bottom left corner.
This beautiful project is the perfect inspiration for bringing the warmth of the season into your cardmaking. 🍁 Layered die cuts, softly blended inks, textured stenciling, and sparkling details combine to create a card that’s full of personality and heartfelt charm.
