New-products

Monthly Moments is Heather Nichols' spin on the pocket scrapbooking trend. Each monthly collection will include an entire series of dies, stamps and printed journal cards that leave lots of different options for personalization and customization. And the best part of this series? It embraces true Papertrey Ink style and all of it is versatile enough to be used in card making too, giving you the best of both worlds!

Each month Heather will be introducing a kit appropriate for the layouts you will be working on later that month. Each kit will include a monthly stamp set, a coordinating month die, some form of a journaling card or pocket die as well as an entire pad of pre-printed journaling cards. All of these monthly introductions will have a one-stop-shop option as a kit, or you can pick and choose what you want individually.

This month we are introducing the basic February kit, as well as several fun extras!

Since this is the very first unveiling of Monthly Moments stamp sets (and there are so many of them!) we have an extra special treat in store for you today!  We are showcasing the FULL reveal of each stamp set early!

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
Owen Through the Years layout

I made my very first pocket page using Heather's February kit, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.  I simply got my photos together, grabbed my supplies and started filling each pocket.  Since the layout is broken down into bite-size pieces like this, I felt a lot less overwhelmed.  I also think this is a fabulous way for a card maker (like me!) to segue into scrapping.  Since we are used to smaller layouts, this isn't too far out of our comfort zone!

My oldest son, Owen, recently celebrated his 13th birthday so I collected several of my favorite photos of him to collect all together on one layout.  The "love" themed products in the February kit definitely do not need to be limited to "valentine" layouts.  They are perfect for pages like this where you are showcasing someone you love or things you love.  The colors in this kit are also neutral enough that can be used for masculine or feminine pages.
Blowing out candles

I had fun experimenting with cutting some of the printed journaling cards up and just using the in bits and pieces. There are just so many options for mixing and matching!  The Antique Alphabet fits nicely with several of the label areas Heather designed itno the cards.
Baby

The Monthly Moments: February stamps have all kinds of bits and pieces that are great for adding accents and small labels to the edges of your photos.  The previously released Library Ledger set and the Additions can work well for adding dates too.
Love list

One of my favorite stamps in the kit?  This heart-bulleted list that allows you to fill in all of the reasons you love someone!!!  I had a lot of fun with this and I look forward to creating more!

Heather

Heather says, "I am SO very excited to share my first layouts using my new Monthly Moments product line. I have poured my heart into this collection and I hope that you all love it. There is nothing better than preserving your memories and then sharing them with others. And how much fun is it to add a little bit of creativity into the process too? I took some photos from a big event that happened in our family just a few weeks ago and created the pocket style layouts to document and share all of the fun that we had on that day. I hope that you are inspired by me and the rest of the Monthly Moments team to take some time and document your memories to share with your loved ones too."

Ashley

Ashley says, "We all have moments that deserved to be captured and documented. I'm so excited about this new series. I've created a couple of traditional layouts, but what I love most is that the kits can be used in so many ways. And if you're like me and need a little scrapbooking jolt, these kits will definitely help you to get started."

Danielle

Danielle says, "Join me in the beginning stages of my journey into pocket scrapbooking, and I'll explain my process in detail for you…how I chose the pieces that I thought worked well together, where to place them, etc. I am excited to delve into this new world and ignite my passion for scrapbooking again, and I do hope you will join this journey with me! The Monthly Moments stamps, dies and papers were true Papertrey Ink style and so beautiful to work with. This morning, my daughter came into my office and saw one of the finished page spreads of her, and she was so interested…asking all kinds of questions. I am feeling wonderful about documenting these things for her already! Whether you have children or not, this is a wonderful, easy way to keep up with documenting your life."

Melissa

Melissa says, "I'm so excited about the introduction of the new Monthly Moments kit to the line up of Papertrey Ink products.  There is something so sweet and special about preserving the little, every day moments, the simple things that sometimes go unnoticed and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be more observant as I go throughout my day.  I'm looking forward to creating and capturing these memories right along with you."

I love this! I was just thinking that I should try put the pocket style scrapbooking since I had such a hard time completing a 12 x 12 layout. I figured that broken into smaller pieces a layout would be less intimidating. I think Mega Mixed Messages is also a great stamp set that would great with the Monthly Months concept.

I started stamping because of scrapbooking and have drifted away from it but these pocket pages make it look so simple and save me from trying to pull something together from my stash. I can see pages being done quickly and beautifully with these products. Way to go.

Big pocket scrapbooking fan here and these new products are just perfect – love there’s a monthly theme, dies, stamps and the journal card pad could be used in my scrapbooks or to make cards… wonderful! i cannot wait

Very exciting! I just bought a Sn@p album and pages for an up coming trip to Disney. I’m not much of a scrapper, but have been thinking that the pocket pages are something I would be able to manage (I like the small size of each element). I love both the new monthly moments stuff (definitely would get the whole kit!) and that you are also carrying the Sn@p pages- since I will need more for that Disney album.

Now, with PTI putting a focus on scrapping, it will make it much easier for me to focus on it as well! The small 3×4 format will not only be fun to play and create, but will bring me greater fulfillment than what a card can because it will be used to preserve precious memories. Love that! But I can definitely see myself using some of these supplies for my cards. I think I would buy individually, depending on what each month brings. But I could also see buying the kits. I would definitely buy February’s kit, from all I’ve seen. Fun DT samples!

I only scrapbooked for a little while because it seemed that too much space was taken up by the scraping and not enough by the pictures. Pocket scrapbooking has sparked my interest, but I haven’t done anything about it. You may just light the fire and get me started. I love PTI!

Wow! A totally creative new way to do scrapbooking more quickly and easily. I love this idea because you can actually put several photos on a page, which for me is more important than 1 photo and lots of embellishments. With the pocket idea you could slip your materials in and then come back later and do the finished card for that pocket. And I like that your prices are reasonable enough that one can afford this method.

I’m at that in-between stage- kid grown & away but no grandkids yet, so not much day-to-day to scrap. I think this would be wonderful, though, for creating a family heritage keepsake. It would allow small bits to be put together without it being a huge, overwhelming project, and could be added to or moved around as one learns more about their family history. Everything today is fabulous! I’ve never been a scrapbooks, it seems like it takes lot of time and the big pages were kind of daunting. This pocket style looks like it would make it a lot easier! I’m not sure if I’ll for sure be buying these in kits or maybe individually but it definitely has my juices flowing!

I don’t think my first comment made it, but Heather, you are amazing. This is awesome! I’m expecting my first grand baby, my grandson (still can’t believe it!) who will be arriving in May. He, of course, will get his album set up right away. This is exactly what I need to get back into scrapbooking! My other 4 kids, they can wait since they are grown and gone. PTI needs a 12-step program. Setting up an auto monthly ship of everything, including the add-on products would be nice and not the Studio Calico nightmare process. I’m sure you will rise to meet the tremendous demand of these new products. I am so excited.

I love your designs so it’s hard to say of I will buy individual kits or every month. So excited for this product line!!! Thank you.

It is not likely that I would buy a full kit, I much prefer buying pieces separately. I’m guessing this is going to be a big hit. Great job team.

I’d probably buy individual pieces if anything, but I’m a cardmaker, so I’d probably go with a stamp/die combo before a monthly moments piece.

Love the Monthly Moments theme. The February dies and journaling cards are just absolutely darling.I have started doing Project life, also started (We R memory Keepers )album as a school days album for my oldest kid. I truly like Snap ablums and I am thinking of starting it for my younger child. So, I super excited that Papertrey ink will be joining in on the fun. Always loved elegant style Papertrey ink.Thank you!!

Heather’s new collection is a great addition! I started out as a scrapper and then I discovered “stamps” and PTI and I’ve been a card maker ever since. However, this new collection makes it seem not so overwhelming…too that off with it being PTI and I may just have to give scrap booking another try!

This is something that I reckon many of your customers would really enjoy. I have been trying to get started with PL stuff for 2 years now and still fin that I fall behind. Maybe because I am not a true PL’er and I don’t have all the co-ordinating stuff. With a kit such as yours though, I think it would be easier and it also incorporates my love of stamping and die cutting, which is something extra again in PL. In yours, it is more ‘part of the overall plan’. Looking forward to it (and hope the exchange rate doesn’t kill me over time!!!)
