Welcome, welcome, welcome to everyone!  All of us here at Papertrey Ink are so excited for this year’s online Stamp-a-faire event!  It is going to be an amazing opportunity to learn new things, get some stamping done and interact with other paper crafters around the world!

Tonight we are kicking off the festivities with our “Friday Night Meet & Greet”!  We hope to make it a bit easier to wait for the BIG DAY as you put the finishing touches on getting ready for tomorrow!

I have asked each of the team members to contribute to a little video footage, allowing you to have a little face-to-face time with each of them even though this is not a live event!  Many of them even giving you a peek into their “crafting kitchens”!  So grab your favorite beverage and settle in for a 30-minute video that I just know you will thoroughly enjoy!  Without further ado, here’s the video!

If you would like to interact with other stampers who are preparing for the big day tomorrow, be sure to stop by the thread we have started especially for tonight’s Meet & Greet in our forum HERE.

While we have you here, we thought we would share a bit of “prep cooking” you can do tonight if you wish.  Definitely not mandatory to get an early start on these things if you wish!

From Cristina for her PaperClay tutorial tomorrow:

“Roll out PaperClay into a circle measuring approximately 4″ in diameter and about 1/8″ thick. Press a small heart die (or other basic shape) into the center of the circle, just enough to make an impression, and remove the die. Allow to air dry for 5-8 hours before die-cutting.”

From Melissa for her Tea Staining tutorial tomorrow:

“Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add in desired amount of tea bags (I would recommend 5-6). Turn off heat, add muslin, and allow to soak overnight. After soaking, wring out muslin but do not rinse. Pop muslin in the dryer for about 20 minutes to dry.”

Below you will find an InLinkz list which will allow you to “meet & greet” fellow stampers from around the world and give everyone a peek into your preparations for the big day!  Share a link to a photo, video or blog post of yourself with your Stamp-a-faire apron, perhaps with a group of stamping friends that you are getting together with tonight, where you are in your journey if you’re on the road or anything else you are doing to prepare for the big day!  Be sure to let us know where you are posting from as well!

Two of the participants who post here tonight will be selected to receive a $25 PTI gift certificate and will be announced on our Monday night Stamp-a-faire winners post.  You have until noon EST, tomorrow (Saturday, August 24th) to add your link here.  We look forward to seeing what you share as well as having you back here tomorrow for all the Stamp-a-faire festivities!

Hi ladies – I love PTI products but am relatively new. My buddy Kathryn Andrews turned me onto your stamps ;* thanks Kathryn! I really enjoyed seeing each of you in the video, where you enjoy creating, and some of your favorite things or storage ideas. Tomorrow will be my first time to a Faire, but am looking forward to it! 6 hours behind you so I’ll be late. With aloha, Rosy

Oh, I was just going back to the kitchen after checking the blog to make Melissa’s Earthquake Cake. I guess I better unpack the muslin and tea bags and die the muslin and roll out the PaperClay to make hearts for all of us meeting at my daughter’s house early tomorrow morning (CST in the Chicago area). Have fun everyone!

Wow, I only just got to watch the video now – a week after the fact – but I have to leave a comment to say how great it is to watch everyone’s video. It gives all of us a little glimpse into the crafting spaces of all the fabulous Papertrey Ink ladies! It’s also a treat to see each one of you and gives us a bit of a view about each of you! I completely enjoyed this video and I hope you continue to do this.
