Fox motifs have been popping up everywhere lately, from fashion to home decor and here at Papertrey, we're absolutely smitten with a certain little foxy guy ourselves! We've also got some fabulous additions to a series and a stamp set that you've already come to love, so let's get right to it.
Heather Nichols has now designed a springtime friend for Winter Penguin! Introducing a fun new character for your stamp collection! This little fox will be so much fun to create with and will be great for so many different themed projects from baby to love to just because.
The Details:
- Hello Foxy will be available for purchase on March 15th.
- It will retail for $5.
- Hello Foxy contains a total of 10 images. The fox image is just under 2 1/2” tall and is 1 3/4” wide. The butterfly is just over 5/8” tall and is just over 1” wide. The “foxy” sentiment is 5/8” wide and just over 3/8” tall.
- A coordinating die (4 shapes wired together) will be available for sale separately, retailing for $5.
Boutique Borders: Birthday is the second set in a monthly series of gorgeous frame images and classic sentiments with beautiful font combinations as well as coordinating dies created by Dawn McVey. Each month features a new frame image as well as a new sentiment theme. Use the frames with the Boutique Borders sentiments or use them with any number of sentiments and images from your own stamp collection! The Boutique Borders series is so versatile you’ll want to collect them all….you’re sure to find yourself reaching for these again and again!

After the release of our popular Rosie Posie stamp set, many designers and customers began adding shading with markers and other coloring tools. Now you can add expert shading to your Rosie Posie blooms and leaves with stamps! Easy to use and line-up because of the extra wide bases incorporated into the stamps. PLEASE NOTE: The actual flower images are NOT included with this set and are from the previously released Rosie Posie set. This new set only contains the accent layer images.

It's here! We're so excited to be bringing you a die collection to coordinate with the anniversary set you got your first look at last month, Birds & Blooms!
The Details:
- Birds & Blooms die collection will be available for purchase on March 15th.

- Birds & Blooms die collection contains a total of 5 dies. Die A is a single die while, B features 9 wired shapes, C has 6 wired shapes, D has 7 wired shapes and E is a single die.
Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!
My first project shows off the gorgeous new Boutique Borders: Birthday frame embossed in gold. I just love the detail in this and can see myself using it a lot! I started by stamping the Rosie Posie flowers and following up with their new Rosie Posie Step 2 counterparts. The dimension this second step adds is amazing!
I heat embossed the border from Boutique Borders: Birthday and followed that with a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #16. I love how the embossing really pops on top of the floral images.
I punched the corners of the white layer with a 5/8" circle punch to create a notched look. I then adhered it to an Aqua Mist card base.
I could hardly wait to ink up Foxy, so here is, stamped in Fresh Snow onto Classic Kraft cardstock. I colored him in with Copic markers and added a black rhinestone for his nose.
The trees (from Little Bitty Bird) were added in white ink as well and the leaves were colored with Copic Markers. All of the images were outlined with a T1 Copic. Tiny stars were added above from Super Stars to help reinforce the sentiment.
The sentiment (also from Super Stars), was added underneath the fox in True Black ink.
The Canyon Clay card base was impressed with the Woodgrain impression plate and edges with a bit of Fresh Snow ink. I punched out two notches with a 5/8" circle punch and used it to help my Dark Chocolate twine in place.
I have one more Foxy card for you, this one features the fox as a removable bookmark! I started by stamping a background on Classic Kraft cardstock using elements from Winter hills. I stamped the trees in Ripe Avocado and the snowflakes in Fresh Snow.
I used the In the Meadow dies to create some snowy hills only adhered them in place on the bottom and sides so that they would act as a pocket to hold the fox bookmark. I then die-cut the fox twice, once from a single piece of cardstock and second time just above the fold of a doubled piece.
The single top layer was adhered to the hinged layers to create this. The single top layer was first stamped and colored with Copic markers. Note how I went back in with some lighter markers to add polka dots and stripes.
Thin magnetic dots were adhered inside to allow it to serve as a function bookmark that stays in place when clipped over the edge of a page.
I added glitter to the top edges of the hills with a 2-way glue pen. I also used the trimmed sides of the gingham oval tag in 2012 Birthday Tags to create a fun scalloped detail at the very bottom of the card.
These utilized leftovers from trimming out the sentiment banner from the center of it. All of this was stamped in Ocean Tides.
I am sure many of you will be quite excited about the new dies that will coordinate with this year's anniversary set, Birds & Blooms. I know I am!
The detail int he wreath die-cut alone is worth it's weight in gold! For this card I stamped all of the layers onto the die-cut and then cut it in half, creating two design elements to place at the bottom and top of my card.
I added strips of Pure Poppy cardstock with notched ends to help draw the eye to the sentiment in the middle of the cover. The sentiment (also from Birds & Blooms) is added in True Black ink.
I love the simplicity of this design and will definitely be revisiting it again in the near future.
For my last project, I just had to use the Rosie Posie Step 2 stamps again! It definitely helped me to fall in love with Rosie Posie all over again, and I just love it when that happens!
I die-cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock and stamped them with their coordinating layers, both from the original Rosie Posie and the new Rosie Posie Step 2 set. I created a dimensional cluster using foam tape.
The sentiment, from Boutique Borders: Birthday was added to a small strip of Classic Kraft cardstock using True Black ink.
I die-cut a new Cover Plate (more about this later in the week) from white cardstock and adhered it on top of an Aqua Mist layer. All of this was mounted to a card base of Hibiscus Burst.

Boutique Borders: Birthday is looking to be a very versatile stamp collection. I love what I’ve seen so far. I’m also very impressed with the Rosie Posie shading set. It adds so much to the depth of the flower.
