New-Product-Details

Based on beautiful folk art that is popular now, this set contains a simple winter scene of a farmhouse & barn snuggled into snowy hills.  The house and tree have also been included separately and in a larger scale to allow for more design opportunities.  The fonts used embrace that folk art look and have been combined to create some beautiful expressions perfect for the winter season.  This set is a follow-up to the popular Autumn Hills stamp set released earlier this year.

The Details:

  • Winter Hills will be available for purchase on October 15th.
  • It will retail for $15.
  • Winter Hills contains a total of 16 images.  The winter hills scene block measures 1-1/4" x 2-5/8".  The single tree measures 1-1/4" x 7/8".  The single house measures 1-1/4" x 1-5/8".  The single snowman measures 1/2" x 5/8".  "Happy Winter Birthday" measures 1-1/4" x 7/8".  "Sending warm winter blessings…" measures 1-3/4" x 5/8".

Peaceful-Pinecones-dies

Dawn McVey has designed a new nature themed holiday set, Peaceful Pinecones.  It is the perfect addition to your holiday stamp collection, thanks to it’s gorgeous images and mix & match sentiment options!  Create amazing Christmas cards that are classy and elegant or rustic and earthy, depending on how you choose to use these images!  Being able to customize your sentiments however you’d like, makes Peaceful Pinecones as versatile as it is beautiful.

The Details:

  • Peaceful Pinecones will be available for purchase on October 15th.
  • It will retail for $15.
  • Peaceful Pinecones contains a total of 17 images.  The “Merry Christmas” sentiment measures 2-1/4” x 1/4”.  The large pine branch measures 3” x 1-1/4”.  The small pinecone/branch cluster measures 1” x 1”.
  • A coordinating die collection will be available for sale separately, retailing for $9.  This collection includes a total of 3 dies (2 single shapes + 3 wired shapes).  They measure 2-1/2" x 2-5/8"(A), 2" x 2-1/8"(B), 2" x 1-3/4" (individual shapes average 1", C).

Believe-dies

We're happy to be bringing you yet another die collection you've been asking for!  The Believe die collection, designed to coordinate with the previously released Believe stamp set, will open up a myriad of design possibilities and is sure to breath new life to this popular stamp set!

The Details:

  • Believe die collection will be available for purchase on October 15th.
  • It will retail for $9.
  • Believe die collection contains a total of 3 dies (2 single shapes + 7 wired shapes).  They measure 3-3/8" x 1-5/8"(A), 1-3/4" x 3-5/8"(B), 2-1/8" x 1-3/4" (individual shapes average 1/2" to 3/4", C).

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Snowflakes sparkle card
My first project only features a single layer of Classic Kraft cardstock on the cover, but still gives the illusion of depth & texture.

House & trees closeup
I stamped the house from Winter Hills in Black Noir Palette ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I then added the trees on either side using Ripe Avocado ink, stamping twice with each inking to achieve to intensities.  There is a small snow flurry cluster included in the set, which I used with Fresh Snow ink just above the tree line.  I added a bit of shimmer to the trees with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

Sentiment
I used reverse die-cut masks created with the In the Meadow dies to sponge Fresh Snow ink and create hills.  The sentiment, from In the Meadow, was added with black ink.

Down
I love the way this little house turned out, nestled in the snowy hills.  Makes me want to move in and snuggle beside the fire!

Warm Winter Blessings card
For my next project I used the full Winter Hills scene as the focal point for my project.

Focal
I stamped the scene with Black Noir ink onto white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  I added just a bit of glitter to the top edges of the hills with a 2-way glue pen and Prisma Glitter.  The Scarlet Jewel background of the card was impressed with the new Striped Sweater impression plate (more about this later on in the week!).

Sentiment
The sentiment was added to a strip of Classic Kraft cardstock under the focal point using black ink.  A bit of Baker's Twine was wrapped around the sentiment strip and finished off with a small bow.

Down
Everything was mounted to a Classic Kraft card base.

Peace & Joy card
My next project turns its focus onto the new (and gorgeous!) Peaceful Pinecones set.  I love this set because it creates such quick and easy focal points.

Barn board
I started by stamping the barn board pattern (Background Basics: Farm & Barn) with Charcoal Palette ink onto Vintage Cream cardstock. I die-cut the Layerz Mat Stack 4 shape from the center of the block.  I then cut a layer of Pure Poppy cardstock with the standard Mat Stack 4 die and layered it underneath the barn board layer.

Sentiment
On Vintage Cream cardstock, I stamped a variety of the pinecone boughs in Ripe Avocado ink, stamping twice with each inking to get a variety of intensities.  The pinecones were added in Dark Chocolate ink.  The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of vellum using Black Noir ink.

Down
To finish the card, I attached everything to a Ripe Avocado card base.

From Our Home to Yours card
Up next, a project that creates lots of coziness by pairing up Peaceful Pinecones and Background Basics: Striped Sweater.

Pinecones
The pinecone shapes were die-cut from Rustic White cardstock and stamped with the coordinating images using Spring Moss & Canyon Clay inks.  The cluster was finished with a single Dark Chocolate button.

Sentiment
For the sentiment, I die-cut the Layerz Mat Stack 1 shape from Classic Kraft cardstock and stamped the frame from Mat Stack 1 Collection using Fresh Snow ink.  I added the sentiment from Peaceful Pinecones in Dark Chocolate and then the flourished borders from Over Under Easy in Classic Kraft ink.  I love how I can really jazz up any sentiment in my collection with these flourished borders.  Really takes them to another level.

Background
I love the striped option in the Background Basics: Striped Sweater set.  The single stamp features 3 lines of stitches, leaving space in between them for a full row to be added in later.  This allows such quick & easy stripes, it took me no time at all to fill the lower portion of this card front using Classic Kraft & Canyon Clay inks.  After stamping the stitches, I impressed the entire background with the Simple Stripes impression plate.

Down
A bit of Spring Moss grosgrain ribbon was added as a border under the sentiment, then everything was mounted onto a Dark Chocolate card base.

Believe Card
For my last project I wanted to try out the new Believe dies.  Believe was one of the first holiday sets I designed and I still love to use the clean & simple illustrations today.

Santa
I die-cut the Santa, dove, greenery shapes from white cardstock and stamped the coordinating images with Black Noir ink.  I then colored all of them with Copic markers.

Sentiment
I added knit stripes to the bottom and top edges of the Classic Kraft card front using Fresh Snow ink.  The "Believe" sentiment was added with True Black ink.

Down
Everything was added to an Ocean Tides card base.

I hope you have enjoyed all the creations that I have shared with you today!  Have we gotten you in the mood for snowy nights and hot cocoa by the fire?  Or perhaps a chilly walk thru the snow-covered woods?  We hope today's projects have you dreaming of winter and gearing up for all the paper-crafting that comes with it!  We would love to hear your initial thoughts on everything we introduced today!  Please leave a comment on this post to tell us what you think of the new products and you will be eligible to win big!

Winter Hills brings me back to my childhood days of sledding in the snow, up and down hills, frozen beyond possible, then coming in to warm up by the fire with a cup of cocoa. Sigh… Good ole days!!! WOW, Wow, wow! I am amazed at Nicole’s samples! I originally had no interest in the Winter Hills set, but after seeing Nicole’s samples, I’m having to rethink my wish list! That’s not easy! This month has yet again pulled me right in! And the pinecones, that was already at the top of my wish list! What to do, what to do…
