New-Product-Details

The concept for Over Under Easy is that you can mix and match the border flourishes above and below any sentiment you wish.  However, this set includes some fun sentiments that complement them perfectly.  You will have tons of fun experimenting with other sentiments in your stash as well as mixing & matching what is within just this set.  Be sure to check out the Over Under Easy: Holiday Additions set that coordinates with this as well.

Diagonal-Stripes-imp-plate

This new background set provides extra long 7-1/2" stripes which multiply the design possibilities.  This includes creating diagonal stripes on A2 cards.  The layering possibilities with the multi-striped strips and solid strips offer up even more options.  This set coordinates with the Diagonal Stripes impression plate for easy placement and lining up.  Simply impress your cardstock with the plate, then use the impressed areas as your guidelines for stamping colored stripes.

  Menorah-Medley-dies

Menorah Medley contains a multi-step menorah image that is easy to use and offers so many design possibilities, especially when paired with a few clean & simple sentiments.  The set features both popular spellings of Hanukkah/Chanukah.  The die collection that is sold separately doesn't specifically coordinate with any images in the stamp set, but is designed to be used as more of a companion for it.  You will see more of what I mean in my samples below.

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Good Friend card
For my first project I wanted to pair up the Super Stripes with the new Over Under Easy sentiment set.

Sentiment
I stamped the sentiment onto Harvest Gold cardstock using Orange Zest ink.  I added the flourished borders under & over the sentiment with Summer Sunrise ink.  I swiped Orange Zest ink around the edge of the sentiment block using a sponge to add some definition & softness to it.  I stamped stripes onto the background at a diagonal using Harvest Gold ink.  I like the effect I was able to achieve by just stamping the center portion of the background with stripes, rather than filling the entire block.

Flower
I created this flower by die-cutting Orange Zest cardstock with the Heart-2-Heart #7 die.  I curled each petal of the blooms with my fingertips and attached them together with a button & twine.  The leaves were cut with the same die using Simply Chartreuse bitty dot paper.

Down
Everything was affixed to an Orange Zest card base.

Happy Holiday card
Next up is a pretty pastel card using the new Snowflake Flurries set.

Pattern
I layered several of the snowflakes using a unique color combination of Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Winter Wisteria, Lavender Moon and Soft Stone.  I added tiny rhinestones to the centers of the main snowflakes.  I just love all the sparkle that they add.

Sentiment
I layered this beautiful sentiment over the snowflakes using Charcoal Palette ink.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Additions set for Over Under Easy, with the flourished borders being from the original set.

Down
The stamped layer was adhered to a Winter Wisteria card base.

Warment Winter Wishes card
This card uses the Diagonal Stripes impression plate as a guide for stamping a Super Stripes background.  I love how easy this is and how precise the results are.  These stripes are stamped with Charcoal Palette ink.

Sentiment
I die-cut the snowflakes from Simply Chartreuse cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating images using Simply Chartreuse ink.  I die-cut the largest Rounded Labels die from Smokey Shadow cardstock and heat embossed one of the sentiments from Snowflake Flurries with Clear Filigree Embossing Powder.

Down
I added rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes.  Everything was added to a Soft Stone card base.

Tis the Season card
As soon as I saw the Snowflake Flurries set, I knew I wanted to pair it up Fancy Flourishes.

Sentiment
I stamped the largest flourish with Aqua Mist and then added the snowflakes in Hawaiian Shores, Blueberry Sky & Spring Rain.  I also added dots with Limeade Ice & Hawaiian Shores.  The sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #21, was stamped in True Black ink.

Side
I added Limeade Ice striped paper to the side of the card along with a strip of Hawaiian Shores cardstock.  Rhinestones are added to the centers of the three main snowflakes.

Down
A Blueberry Sky card base finishes this unique project off!

You're the Best
This simple little card shows how the snowflake images in Snowflake Flurries are modern enough in style that they can realy have a variety of year-round applications.

Side
I stamped one of the smaller snowflakes/medallions across the bottom of a white block of cardstock.  I used Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides, Scarlet Jewel, Autumn Rose, Canyon Clay & Summer Sunrise inks to create the pattern.  I stamped the setniment, from Over Under Easy, in True Black.  I stamped the snowflakes a second time onto a piece of scrap cardstock and punched out their centers with a 1/4" circle punch.  I adhered these circles onto the coordinating medallion centers using small bits of foam tape.

Down
A Smokey Shadow cardstock base helps to ground everything and allow the colored medallions to pop.

Get Well Soon Card
I could hardly wait to create a get well soon card with this sentiment from Over Under Easy.

Sentiment
I stamped the sentiment & flourished borders with Dark Chocolate ink onto Fine Linen cardstock.  I swiped Tea Dye Duo ink around the edge of the block.

Flower closeup
I stamped the largest flower from Year of Flowers: Mums onto Sweet Blush cardstock using Dark Chocolate ink and added some shading with a Copic Marker.  The leaves were stamped onto Ripe Avocado cardstock and accented with a Copic marker as well.  I cut out the flower and leaves with scissors and layered them underneath the sentiment block.

Down
The Aqua Mist background was accented with Super Stripes in a plaid pattern using VersaMark ink and then attached to a Scarlet Jewel card base.

Star window card
Now for some festive Jewish themed projects.  Tis particular window design was something I specificaly had in mind when designing the new Menorah Medley die collection.

Window
The star medallion die will coordinate with our Limitless Layers 2.5" Circle die collection, however there is a 2.25" standard circle die included in the Menorah Medley die collection to create a window opening that will layer just underneath the frame of the star.  I die-cut the opening int the white card base and the star medallion from Enchanted Evening cardstock.  I adhered the medallion in place with a 2-way glue pen.

Sentiment
I heat embossed this sentiment from Menorah Medley using Silver Filigree Embossing Powder, accenting either end of the sentiment with flourishes that are also included in the set.

Down
I love the simplicty of this project and how easy it would be to mass produce.

Menorah Card
My next project uses the multi-step menorah image found in Menorah Medley.  I absolutely love the look you can achieve with this as well as how easy it is to line up.

Menorah closeup
I stamped the base of the menorah in Enchanted Evening, the candles is Blueberry Sky and the flames in Harvest Gold.  The block was adhered to a layer of Spring Rain cardstock that was stamped with the sentiment in Blueberry Sky.

Down
I added notched layers of Blueberry Sky stripes & Enchanted Evening bitty dots under the focal point, with everything being adhered to an Enchanted Evening card base.

Peace Card
My next project actually doesn't use any stamps at all.

Star
Within the Menorah Medley die collection is a die that cuts out a series of trinagles.  When you cut two triangles the same size, they can be layered to create fun, decorative version of the classic star image.  I opted to die-cut these from white cardstock and then color them with a variety of blue Copic markers to create an ombre effect.  After the two trinagles were layered, I added a small rhinestone to each tip of the star.

Peace closeup
I die-cut letters using the Modern Alphabet dies from Silver Shimmer cardstock, adhering the letters in place with foam tape.

Down
The white background of the card was impressed with the Diagonal Stripes impression plate, and adhered to a Blueberry Sky card base.

Festival of Lights
For my last project I wanted to showcase how the large menorah die can be used with bits and pieces of patterned papers and cardstocks to get a relaly neat effect.

Die closeup
I first die-cut Classic Kraft cardstock with the Mega Mat Stack 3 die.  I then die-cut the menorah from that.  I applied some adhesive to the back of the shape and added bits of paper in appropriate colors.  I love the texture that this adds as well as how easy it is to do.  I swiped the edge of the shape with Fresh Snow ink.

Down

I adhered a strip of Enchanted Evening cardstock to the bottom of the Mat Stack Layer and heat embossed it with another sentiment from the set using White Filigree Embossing Powder.  Everything was mounted onto a white card base.

The Hanukkah set is totally versatile! You make so much more from your simple (but challenging to design) sets. Just can’t believe how clever you are. (I say this every month.) And fonts have no better outing than in your hands. I’m looking forward to the rest of the week.
