Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Holly Jolly Christmas Card
My first project today pairs up traditional red & green Christmas colors with a little bit of gold thrown in for good measure!

I started by preparing the background block.  I stamped the holly image in Pinefeather ink onto Ripe Avocado cardstock.  I then used the dotted lines of the holly as a guide to add dots with a gold paint pen.  The last step was to stamp A Little Argyle over the holly images using VersaMark ink.  I punched out "berries" using a 1/4" hole punch and Pure Poppy cardstock.  I went around the perimeter of the block with gold paint pen as well.

The sentiment (from Mistletoe & Holly) was stamped on a scrap of Pure Poppy cardstock and heat embossed with Gold Filigree Embossing Powder.  I added it to my card front with a bit of foam tape.

Everything was adhered to a Pinefeather card base.

Poinsettia Card
My next project uses the new fabulous Year of flowers: Poinsettia dies!  This new addition makes the flowers from this set so much more versatile!  To begin with a cut a block of Holiday Flourishes & Swirls patterned paper down as a card front and then trimmed one side with the Edgers #4 die.

I die cut the small & large poinsettia shapes from Melon Berry cardstock and stamped them with their coordinating images using Berry Sorbet ink.  I used a R22 marker to add a bit of shading at the base of each petal and smeared Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on the center for a little shimmer.  I die cut the smallest poinsettia a second time from Spring Moss cardstock and stamped it in Simply Chartreuse.  I trimmed the petals apart and used them as leaves behind the flower.

I added a few tendrils of twine on either side of the flower to go along with the flourishes found in the paper.

The sentiment from Think Big Favorites #20 was added to the card front with Charcoal Palette ink.

I added everything to a Rustic White card base to finish it up.

Peace Love Joy Card
Melissa Bickford's new Peace, Love & Joy stamp set is so much fun to use, at $5 it's a bargain and totally worth its weight in gold!

I stamped each of the words separately, inking them with Autumn Rose first followed by the bottom half dipped into a Scarlet Jewel ink pad.  The flourish, from Mat Stack 1 Collection, was inked with Simply Chartreuse and the ends were re-inked a bit in Ripe Avocado.  I added the flourish above & below the words to help ground them.  A small decorative detail from Peace, Love & Joy was added to the very top and bottom using Scarlet Jewel ink.

I created the bold striped background by applying 1/2" strips of Autumn Rose cardstock to my Scarlet Jewel card base and trimming away the ends.

The focal point was matted with Ripe Avocado cardstock.  I then trimmed it with my gold paint pen.

Cozy Card
The sentiment on this card, from Happiest of Holidays, is one of my absolute favorites in the set.  I could hardly wait to use it on a card!

I die-cut an oval from a block of white cardstock and used it as a guide for stamping the sentiment onto a block of Sweet Blush cardstock using Hibiscus Burst ink.  I stamped the sentiment twice on a scrap of Hibiscus Burst cardstock using Raspberry Fizz ink, trimming out the center banners with a craft knife & ruler.  I cut one of the banners in half and remove the ends of the other one, then layered them together in the center of the original sentiment.  The ends are accented with rhinestones.

I stamped the background onto the white cardstock frame using the mistletoe in Limeade Ice and the berries in Hibiscus Burst.  I used a 2-way glue pen to add some Prisma Glitter around the edge of the oval opening.

Everything is adhered onto a Raspberry Fizz card base.

Peace Card
My next project uses just the word "Peace" from Peace, Love & Joy and showcases how the detail of the letters helps the words to stand out well even alone.  I inked the mistletoe sprig with Spring Rain ink and dabbed the ends of the leaves with my Blueberry Sky ink pad.  After stamping, I quickly brushed a bit of water over each leaf with a small paintbrush, giving it a softer watercolored look.  I punched out 1/4" circles from Winter Wisteria gingham paper and adhered them in place like berries.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Winter Wisteria cardstock and heat embossed it with White Filigree Embossing Powder.

Everything was mounted onto a Spring Rain card base.  I really love this project and think it could be adapted for a wedding or anniversary card by swapping out the colors and using the word "Love" from the set instead.  Definitely lots of possibilities!

Silent Night Card
My last project for today pairs up an untraditional holiday scheme of Enchanted Evening & New Leaf.

It all started with die-cutting the frame using the Fabulous Frames die with New Leaf Striped paper.  The sentiment from Happiest of Holidays was inked with New Leaf and then the bottom half was inked again with Enchanted Evening.  I stamped this onto white cardstock and adhered it behind the frame.

I stamped the holly leaf onto New Leaf cardstock with New Leaf ink and trimmed it out, adhering it to the bottom portion of the frame.  Stitched Blueberry Sky buttons finish it off.

I matted the frame with Enchanted Evening cardstock that I added a border to using a silver paint pen.  Everything was adhered to a Blueberry Sky card base.
