A few farewells and a hello…

By June 16, 2012General

Today I have a few team changes that I wanted to take a few moments to let you know about.

Michelle's headshot
Michelle Wooderson has decided to step down from her position on our Design Team.  I have really enjoyed having the opportunity to work with her over the past few years.  Especially collaborating on product concepts together.  She have been such a valuable asset to our company and we really can't adequately express our appreciation for all she has done to contribute to our success.  She is a great asset to the paper crafting world and everyone who has the opportunity to absorb creativity through her blog and her fantastic wit.  We wish her all the best in her future endeavors; we just know she will be successful in whatever she chooses to do with her talents.  Thank you for your years of dedication and commitment to Papertrey Ink, Michelle.

Beth Silaika has also opted to step down from her position as a stamp designer.  She has been designing new products for us for a few years now and really has a unique sense of style that will be missed.  Beth is going to be focusing more on her family, especially on her very special *6-pack*!  She has a lot of talent paired with a heart of gold that is genuine and full of kindness.  Her presence within the company along with her amazing design contributions will be missed here and we wish her nothing but the best as she moves forward in her life!

We also have a new designer joining the Design Team, someone that I have admired for quite some time now.  Cristina Kowalczyk is now officially joining our ranks as a member of the release team.  She will be contributing projects each month that will truly inspire you!  For the July and August releases she will be taking things a bit easy and just contributing to the group posts because of some personal obligations, but then after that you will enjoy a full spectrum of projects from her each and every month!

Cristina's clean & simple style is refreshing and so incredibly inspiring to me.  She is always thinking outside the box and coming up with the most amazing uses for stamps.  I have fallen in love with so many of her creations over the years and just her overall perspective.  Cristina loves using crisp white card bases and unique color combinations.  She is a phenomenal stamper who definitely has a lot to offer all of you with her future contributions to the team.  Welcome, Cristina!

Mish and Beth, the best to you. You both have designed some great sets that I own.

Cristina, so glad to have you join as the DT. I have been following your blog since your Gallery Idol win last year. The only regret I have is that I didn’t know about your blog earlier. You will make such an awesome addition to the team. Can’t wait to see more of your creations.

Best of everything to Mish & Beth – I will enjoy your stamp sets for years to come! Welcome, Cristina! I’ve always enjoyed seeing your magic with PTI stamps! One that comes to mind is the Sending you leaf dies that you took apart and made a masterpiece! Whenever I pick up a card magazine and look through it, I almost always recognize your cards before I even read your name!

I’ve often wondered what it was like to be a PTI design team member. The level of talent is so outstandingly high, that you are picking from the best of the best. Seeing stamps and materials transformed by these hands is what helps set PTI above the rest. It is also clear that your designers work hard – very hard. It’s difficult seeing Mish and Beth leave, but I can imagine that a rest would be required now and then. (Nichole must have a picture in a closet somewhere that looks about 40 years older. If I could send her to a tropical island for six months, I would.)

I have just seen Christina’s blog for the first time. It’s wonderful to have her on your team; she is a PERFECT fit for PTI’s sensibilities. My online time is limited, but I must confess to being a groupie. Your sites occupy more than half my internet time. It will be a great pleasure to add Christine to my PTI world.

    Thank you Mish and Beth!

I’ve been purchasing and enjoying PTI for a couple years now and what attracted me to this great company was the beautiful designs, which I’m sure Mish and Beth were essential in creating. Good luck to both of you and welcome Christina!
