I don’t enjoy strawberries in anything as much as I enjoy just eating them freshly picked. I love fresh strawberries!
A summertime standby is a strawberry pie. Bright fresh berries with a quick glaze and a dollop of freshly whipped cream. Yummy!!
I love making felt with them! They look so cute in anything! Love it!
If they actually last long enough to make anything with them before they are all eaten I love a good strawberry banana smoothie!
When I was a tiny kid I couldn’t eat big chunks of strawberries so my mother used to mix them with sugar and milk. I still L O V E that mix – about 40 years later! To me it tastes true summertime…
Fresh made strawberry shortcake with home made bisquits. So yummy.
My daughter’s favorite is chocolate covered strawberries so I make those often. MY favorite is Strawberry Shortcake!
The family likes strawberry shortcake but my favorite is just sliced strawberries on my morning cereal. Its my favorite fruit to eat that way.
Besides eating while picking it is
strawberrys and cream mixed together.
I have a tie…I love to pick strawberries and to simply cut them up in my cereal AND I love freshly-picked strawberries cut up and served on top of angel food cake drizzled with melted dark chocolate. Thanks for inspiring more creativity this month, Papertrey crew. Thanks also for the very generous chances to win throughout the countdown. You all are the best!
It’s a tie between strawberry shortcake and Strawberry pie!
Macerated strawberries with fresh whipped cream. Cut up the strawberries into a bowl with two tablespoons (or so) of balsamic vinegar and a two tablespoons (or so) of sugar, mix it up and let sit for a bit. Serve atop fresh whipped cream. Sounds weird to some but DELISH!
I have strawberries everyday for breakfast with yoghurt, but. I ADORE real strawberry jam, full of whole fruit on toast. If I was in England I would want them straight from the plant.
That’s easy! Nothing like strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits and hand whipped cream! Yummmmm!!
For me you cannot beat a real Cornish clotted cream scone with strawberry conserve on the top.
Plain old fresh strawberries for me (I used to crawl into the strawberry patch as a baby and pick them off the plants to eat!)
Loving those Trendy Trees this month!
For a quick dessert, I buy the small pavlova bases (m&s) whip double cream to add on top and then arrange the strawberries on top artistically! Goes well with my favourite summer drink :pimms and lemonade with chopped strawberries and mint.
My favorite is strawberry-bamama pie. We take the kids to the strawberry patch each year to make sure that we have fresh strawberries for our pies.
There is little better than fresh off the vine strawberries, angel food cake and whipped cream!!! LOVE IT1
These projects look amazing!
My fav is chocolate covered strawberries!
Yes… fresh picked berries for us (eat as you pick or cut up with a tiny bit of sugar)! If any are left I freeze them for future use in a berry smoothie!
I love strawberries so much. I don’t know if I could pick just one thing I like to make – there’s strawberry fluff (made w/ tapioca and cool whip et al.), there’s strawberry shortcake, and of course strawberries dipped in chocolate (white chocolate w/ sprinkles is always fun!).
Warm sun kissed strawberries as you pick them on a warm June morning. Love them!!!!
My mother in law gave a wonderful lady finger cream cheese cake recipe with strawberries and pineapple in the middle, cream cheese mixture on top of that and more strawberries on top. So delicious! Better than ice cream. How about strawberries and rhubarb? Yummy. Mouth watering yet? Too tired to fuss? Strawberries and whipped cream, always a winner. Enjoy!!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries has to be strawberry – rhubarb pie topped with vanilla ice cream. It’s the perfect combination of tart and sweet.
Just like to eat them in a fruit salad.
My favourite thing to make with strawberries is this icing recipe. This is also really good with raspberries. Who am I kidding? ANY berry would be delicious in this icing recipe. YUM!!
Strawberry Cheesecake Buttercream:
3/4 cup (1 1/2 stick) butter, softened but not warm
1/2 cup (4 ounces) cream cheese, softened but not warm
4 – 5 cups powdered sugar, or until desired consistency is reached
4 ounces frozen (or fresh) strawberries, thawed, drained, and divided
1 vanilla bean (seeds only)
For me it’s picking the first crop of English strawberries and making pots of traditional jam – then I can enjoy the sunshine every day on my toast and scones!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is Strawberry Shortcake with warm baking powder biscuits and real whipped cream!!! yummy oh i need some fresh strawberries!! Have a great day!!
i love a good strawberry-rhubarb pie!
Strawberry shortcake with homemade shortcake and real whipped cream!!
Strawberry shortcake!! I love the sweet and tart flavors!
My favorite thing to do with a strawberry is to just eat it. Fresh picked strawberries are so yummy!
The best strawberries I ever ate were straight from the field! but they taste pretty good marinated with a little sugar, orange juice a dash of contreau 🙂 too
Kim
What a fun release! My favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry shortcake. Yum!
I love everything strawberry but I think I like to make strawberry jam the best. I can enjoy it all winter long.
I loved to make strwaberry jam as a child. Not I am more likely to make strawberry bread, but so many of them get eaten with fresh cream that I don’t ever have many left for cooking.
Mmmm strawberry smoothies! Yum!
Just plain munching on them. My boys however like them cut up with sugar and served over good vanilla ice cream.
Thanks for another great release.
The Rochester Junior League Cookbook has a recipe for a molded salad made with strawberries and walnuts. The middle layer is a sour cream layer, and the combination is to die for! It’s a family favorite.
Funny that you asked. I just made my favorite “dessert” from a recipe an old French war bride shared with me years ago. It has jello, cream cheese, sour cream, bananas, crushed pineapple and pecans. It screams “SUMMER”. Love it The jello is strawberry and you add sliced, sugared strawberries to the mixture…YUM YUM YUM
Fresh picked strawberries are my first choice. Secondly, cut them up, add sugar, let sit for a couple of hours. Then, enjoy a big bowl full with whipped cream on top!! (No shortcake for me, thanks!!)
Strawberry parfaits! You can never go wrong with strawberries!
My favorite way to eat them is straight off the vine. I can’t wait for strawberry season this year.
I love cutting strawberries in half and making a strawberry dip made with a block of cream cheese and a container of marshmallow fluff, and mixing those two together. its an amazing dip for the strawberries!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is my strawberry pie, topped with fresh whipped cream. That is, if I buy enough strawberries to snack on while cleaning them and make the pie.
Strawberry Pavlova: marshmallowy meringue, whipped cream, chopped strawberries dusted with icing sugar. Delicious 🙂
It’s a toss up. If I’m going the healthy route, it would be a salad with spinach and strawberries. If not, then a stawberry cloud with angel food cake and lots of whipped cream. Usually, though, strawberries don’t last long enough to “make” anything around here.
Mine is definitely strawberry jam. I’ve been making it since I was a kid with my grandmother and aunt. Now I make it with my daughter. Growing up my grandma would have do many strawberries that one year u developed a rash on my arms from eating too many!
Chocolate covered strawberries and homemade strawberry jam. All the new products looks fabulous.

Daiquiris, homemade jam, chocolate covered strawberries, and strawberries filled with cream cheese filling. I also have a YUMMY Strawberry-Almond Cream Tart maybe we should start a thread on the MB for all these strawberry treats!!!!
Strawberry jam! Our family started a tradition back when the boys were small (now 15 & 20). We would all be in the patch picking berries for jam and taste testing! At home, I’d hull the berries, our boys would help, the older measuring the 7 cups of sugar and the younger one standing on a stool would keep count of the cups of sugar and berries! Dad manned the hot water baths & filling the jars. We’d have jam for the year and to share as gifts! Strawberries are very special in our home!
My favorite is my husband’s grandmother’s strawberry shortcake. The shortcake is not really cake at all, but more of a pie crust with strawberries and a simple powdered sugar glaze on top. Yum!
Strawberry jam in the bread maker. Yum
I love to dip strawberries in chocolate and then use them to decorate a yummy dessert…choc mud cake or a yummy cheesecake are particularly nice with choc dipped strawberries 🙂
Always needing to eat healthier, I make a strawberry shake for myself a few times a week. One cup of lowfat milk, 2 heaping tablespoons of vanilla yogurt, a couple of slices of banana and lots of frozen strawberries (a good way to salvage those berries that are starting to look unappetizing. My kids need a little honey or sugar in the mix but for me it is thick and delicious and healthy.
Strawberry shortcake is my favorite with homemade angel food cake. Yummy!
My husband makes a delicious strawberry sauce to pour over breakfast creeps or stuffed French toast!
We look forward to fresh, homemade strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream! Yum!!

I love fresh strawberries on ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate! Yum!
I love to make jam with strawberries. I go out to the berry patch with my kids and pick lots of berries. Then we spend a whole day making jam together. We usually have enough to last through the winter AND give away to friends. Nothing is better for breakfast in the middle of winter than strawberry jam on a buttery English muffin.
How appropriate! We are going strawberry picking today. We love eating them in smoothies, pies, jams, chocolate dipped, shortcake, with fruit dip, and am trying a new recipe that I found on Pinterest!!!!
Strawberries stay in my freezer. First sign of picking season and we are out there. Our favorite is strawberry shortcake but we like them over biscuits and ice cream too.
I love to make trifles with strawberries. Just bake a yellow or white cake and allow to cool. You can you vanilla or my new fave, cheesecake pudding. You also want a container or 2 of cool whip. To make the strawberries a bit saucy, add some sugar to make them a little syrup-y. Cut the cake and layer all ingrdients in a bowl. It is best to sit overnight. There are no exact measurements, everything is to taste. YUMMY!!!!!!!!
This past year I taught myself how to can, so I would say any type of strawberry jam would be my favorite thing to make with strawberries! And then of course to make a cute tag to go with it 🙂
My favorite thing has to be strawberries sprinkled with a touch of sugar and spooned over the top of vanilla ice cream!

Well, not being much of a cook/baker, I have to say that I like fresh strawberries all by themselves. 🙂 It’s a definite summer treat! 🙂
Lately, my favorite things to make with strawberries are smoothies – strawberry-banana to be exact. I blend 4-6 strawberries with 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup coconut milk, splash of half-&-half for extra creaminess, agave sweetener to taste, a dash of vanilla extract and 4-6 ice cubes. YUM!

My favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry jam! If I make enough of it in the late spring, it will last me all winter long. There’s nothin’ better than strawberry jam on toast or a biscuit in the middle of the cold winter! Yum!

I like strawberries wherever they show up, but extra special is strawberry shortcake on a sweet biscuit-type shortcake or strawberry/rhubarb pie!
Jam!! Savor that goodness all year 🙂
My favorite strawberry recipe is for a strawberry pie that my mom made for every get together in the summer. It was strawberries, wild strawberry Jello, a little cornstarch, sugar and water. You would arrange the strawberries in a graham cracker crust. Combine the other ingredients and bring just to a boil then pour over the strawberries. Let it set up for a few hours and serve with fresh whipped cream. It is heavenly!!!
I love anything with strawberries! (And Debbie’s Copic coloring of the image looks good enough to eat!) I did however make this recipe last season and it was pretty good! http://www.penzeys.com/cgi-bin/penzeys/recipes/r-penzeysStrawberryBread.html
MMMM… visions of my mom’s Strawberries and Cream are making me hungry right now. It’s the simplest thing… just mashed up strawberries, sour cream (or greek yogi now) and some sugar. So simple, so good, and such a great treat memory from when I was a kid.
Just plain old strawberries! Sweet and juicy:)
My kids love a chocolate fondue, and I love dipping the strawberries in the melted chocolate. Marshmallows are good too but strawberries are delicious!
Strawberry shortcake!
I grew up in a part of Africa where strawberries were rare. The first strawberry I can ever remember being offered I traded away for a piece of candy. Needless to say, I’m not that big a fan of strawberries unless, of course, they are covered in chocolate. 🙂
I love to throw a bunch of strawberries, bananas, milk and ice in a blender. Makes a delicious and refreshing milkshake.
Plain and simple – just strawberries, freshly picked. Next best, chocolate dipped strawberries!! Thanks for all the deliciousness you and your team have shared with us, yet again!!
My favorite thing made with stawberries (my favorite fruits) is strawberry cake, with a thin layer of buttercream frosting between the cake and the berries – hmmm, can’t wait until summer 🙂
I’m changing from a western diet and medicine thoughts to retraining my brain to an eastern diet and medicine, as well as 100% organic food with zero pesticides, and I do mean zero. Organic strawberries or ones that you grow are so much more sweeter than you can imagine so no sugar is needed. I just slice them up and arrange them on a pretty plate, get out the holiday silverware, and treat myself that way. I feel great afterwards! It’s a very fun and fresh treat.
My kids who are in their late teens and getting ready to go off to college, however, aren’t on board with me but it’s easy enough to “fool” them. I bake my own angel food cake with organic flour and ingredients, put the strawberries into a blender and they still have a fun desert that’s healthy and organic. I just leave out the carbs since I’m detoxifying. I know that’s probably more than you wanted to hear but eastern medicine and organic lifestyle is the best!
Good luck everybody and thank you for your generous prize Nichole. Very exciting release this time around – but what release isn’t exciting?!
I just love to make strawberry shortcake! All the different layers really work together! Just thinking about it is making me hungry!

My favorite thing to make with strawberries is pie. Nothing better than strawberry pie with a little whipped cream on top! Delicious!!
Strawberry Shortcake!! Fresh, local strawberries become available in late June/early July where I live and I always associate them with my mother’s birthday. Strawberry Jello desert. It has layers with strawberries, bananas, nuts, and sour cream! Yum!!! Very light and summery. Of course simple chocolate dipped straberries are also soooo good.
I like fresh strawberries with some sugar and milk!
Strawberry Shortcake. I am diabetic, so instead of sugaring the berries to make juice, I pour a little diet ginger ale over the berries with a couple packs of Splenda. Lots of juice to soak the sugar-free wedge of angel food cake underneath! Then some fat-free Redi-Whip and I feel like I’ve really gotten away with something!!!!
I love strawberries dipped in chocolate!
Strawberry rhubarb pie. Or strawberry rhubarb jam. Or both. 🙂
We just eat ’em fresh out of the berry basket. Sometimes combined with banana slices and walnuts. Yum!

My 8 year old LOVES to grow strawberries (blueberries, tomatoes, apples, & squash too). Besides giving them away to neighbors and feeding the squirrels and birds, we enjoy making Strawberry Smoothies. One of our favorites (and easiest) includes these ingredients:
8 strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 cubes ice, crushed
Sometimes we add blueberries or bananas in too.
I love fresh strawberries! My favorite way to eat them is sliced (with a tiny bit of sugar, if needed)
When I was first married, my inlaws were coming to visit for the first time and I wanted to make something special for dessert. I saw a recipe in a magazine for an Italian Strawberry tart. It has a very simple but delicious butter crust with lemon zest. You assemble the strawberries with the points up and then glaze it with apricot jam. It is so simple yet so amazing – with some homemade vanilla ice cream – heaven. And needless to say it was a huge hit and I’m still making it today.
I love the strawberry set and can’t wait to make my baby’s 1 year birthday invitations. “Our Berry Special Baby is turning 1”
My favorite dessert with strawberries are little brownies made in a mini muffin pan filled with whipped topping and topped with a strawberry slice and drizzled with chocolate! Yummy!
When there used to be strawberry farms where we could go to pick strawberries, I had to make a strawberry pie with a wonderful pudding layer and a glace over the strawberries. YUM! I miss the good old days.
Peanutbutter and Jelly!! But instead of jelly, put fresh cut up strawberries on it…mmmmmmm! Yum!
My favorite thing is actually for my mom to make strawberry pies. I’m no Betty Crocker myself but she is & they are de li cious!!!!!Amazing!!!!

I thought of that when I saw all the adorable creations with your new berry set this week. A MUST get for this mom!

My favorite thing to do with strawberries is just eat them plain. My daughter loves strawberries just as a snack. She does however love them on her Cheerios so her bowl looks exactly like it shows on the box=)
My favorite thing with strawberries is so simple- Angle food cake and strawberries (that set for an hour or so with a little bit of sugar on them). And it is a dessert with very little guilt 😉 Awesome release and amazing samples ladies!
Strawberry Shortcake of course! My birthday is June 25 and my mother made a strawberry shortcake for me on my 1st birthday. She has a picture of me in my (wooden) highchair with this HUGE cake on the tray…you could barely see me behind that big cake!
Love strawberries – fresh, as jam, in pie (alone or with rhubarb), on angel food cake, dipped in chocolate – but I think my favorite is strawberry shortcake, with fresh sweet biscuits.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is definitely strawberry jelly, using a recipe from my grandmother. It is sooooo good, and everyone asks me for some when I make it :). My second favorite would be strawberries covered in chocolate…yummy!!
I love strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits and freshly whipped cream. It’s the perfect summertime treat!
My favorite is a strawberry-pretzel dessert. I use this recipe from Paula Dean
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar, plus 3/4 cup sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping
2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry gelatin dessert mix
2 cups boiling water
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple
Whipped topping or whipped cream, to garnish
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
For the crust, mix the pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press this mixture into a 9 by 13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. Fold in the whipped topping, and spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until well chilled.
In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and allow to cool slightly. Add the strawberries and pineapple, and pour over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until serving time. Serve with whipped topping or whipped cream.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is homemade strawberry jam. My good friend taught me how to make homemade jam, pickles and apple butter many years ago. And we still get together periodically to make these delicious goodies. But I have to admit that strawberry jam is my all-time favorite!
What a wonderful release! Thanks for all the great inspiration! I love mixing fresh strawberries with orange juice – it is quick and easy, but makes the drink so much tastier!
Thanks for the chance /Karin
Definitely chocolate covered strawberries!!!! YUM!
When I think of strawberries the first thing that comes to mind is strawberry jam. Fresh strawberry jam on fresh homemade bread, YUM!
Definitely my homemade strawberry jam. I can’t wait for June to get fresh strawberries to make it! Thanks for the chance to win
My Great Aunt MaryAnn’s Strawberry Pretzel Salad! The salty crunch of pretzels with the sweet taste of Strawberries – a big hit at ALL the family get togethers! 🙂
I have to say strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits and whipped cream. I don’t mean cool whip, but whipped cream!! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!!!!!
My favorite thing with strawberries is topping for angel food cake. Just slice up some strawberries, add a little sugar and serve over angel food cake. He would put a small pile of sugar in the middle of a plate and then ring the plate with fresh strawberrys, dipping the strawberries in the sugar before eating them. Do they need sugar? Of course not! I had long ago stopped eating them that way but then he taught my kids to do it. I love the memory of him teaching my kids to eat them that way…grandpa spoiling at its best!! I have a great recipe for strawberry tarts. You make your tart shell out of rice krispie cake. A little finicky but worth the trouble. Then use either fresh straberries that have been sprinkled with sugar (to make a little juice) or frozen strawberries and reserve the juice. Make a strawberry jello and only add the hot water to dissolve. Then add half of the cold water but augment with your berry juice. let set partially so it is not runny then spoon strawberries and jello into your krispie cups. Let set fully and top with whipped cream and a fresh berry slice. Your family will gobble them up!

I don’t believe I’ve ever made anything with strawberries– can you imagine? (I don’t like them cooked!)
I am not much of a cook, but my favorite is strawberry shortcake with the shortcake made from the recipe on the side of the Bisquick box. Pretty lame, but that would be it. I love my strawberries left to be just strawberries. Truth be known I don’t even like the strawberries sweetened but if you want them to be juicy you have to add a little sugar. Thanks for the opportunity. And, congratulations to the winner!

I don’t think that tthere is anything that can be made with strawberries that is not good! Every year I make home made jam, it is so yummy!
Strawberry pie – just cut strawberries and add strawberry Danish Desert. What’s Danish Desert you ask? I very pleasing pudding/pie filling that you make similar to jello. And, it doesn’t have that bite to it that the already made pie filling in the bags at the store do. If I’m being ambitious, then I make my own crust. If not, I just put it in a bowl and consume more than the food pyramid experts would approve of 🙂
Thanks for another wonderful release!!

My husband’s favorite cake is my strawberry cake. I make it for his birthday every year and anytime we have a special occasion. oh without a doubt, my favorite thing to make is STRAWBERRY BREAD! Just a hint of cinnamon and fresh strawberries… its BERRY delightful 🙂
The tiny alpine strawberries I have in the garden always get eaten just as they are but I always buy up supermarket punnets when they are knocked down in price to make Freezer Strawberry Jam. Its so simple – no boiling or judging setting points.
All you do is crush about 2 pounds (900 gms) strawberries in a non-metallic bowl with a wooden spoon or masher. Stir in 1 pound of jam/preserving sugar then cover and place in an oven preheated to its lowest setting until the strawberries are warm but not hot. Remove from the oven and leave to stand for an hour, stirring occasionally until the sugar has disolved. After that stir in the juice of one lemon and pack into small freezer-proof containers, leaving plenty of room for the jam to expand on freezing. Seal the containers and leave to stand for 6 hours at room temperature, then refrigerate for 24-48 hours until jellied. After this store in the freezer.
Really its more like a delicious strawberry sauce than a jam and we love it over ice cream or stirred into yogurt – a real taste of summer in the dark days of winter.
I have 2 favorite strawberry recipes – cheesecake with strawberries on top and chocolate-covered strawberries. Yum!!!
My favorite summer strawberry treat is to eat them on top of a good natural vanilla bean ice cream with a little chocolate drizzle. Mmmm. We bought an ice cream maker recently and I can’t wait to eat those berries with some homemade ice cream … I’m sure it will be pure heaven.
I love them chopped up with bananas topped with chocolate and whip cream. Yummy!
Strawberry shortcake cookies!! They are so fresh and yummy!!
Strawberry shortcake. Not very exciting but still our favorite!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries are smoothies! We invested in a Margaritaville “blender” and it’s sooooo worth it. It shaves ice like nobody’s business and anything you throw in comes out amazing! 🙂
Strawberries…hum…the best is nature, just freshly picked from the garden or then with a touch of cream and sugar….
My favorite thing with strawberries is just a memory most of the time. The summer following my junior year of high school, I spent a month in England as an exchange student. Almost any place you went (including the pubs, as the legal drinking age was 16), you could get a bowl of fresh strawberries smothered in fresh clotted cream. I was in heaven.
Once every couple of years I get a beautiful little bottle of imported clotted cream from some overpriced gourmet shop and pair it with some beautiful strawberries. I enjoy it, but it never tastes the same as what I remember.
I love to make and EAT strawberries shortcake with homemade biscuits and vanilla ice cream. I love to slice the strawberries add sugar and let them sit for awhile to get the juices flowing. This also makes a great breakfast. (minus the ice cream)
I would have to say other then eating fresh strawberries, I like to sometimes make a strawberry cake with a white cake mix. Super easy but so delicious!
We love strawberry shortcake at our house, but I also love to eat freshly picked strawberries whenever I get the chance! Yum!
Strawberries! My favorite thing to make with them is strawberry jam. But my favorite way to enjoy a nice ripe strawberry, is freshly washed in cold water, with nothing else.
My son use to eat the strawberries while we would pick them–I Love to make fresh strawberry jam. My husband enjoys strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits. Oh I also like an iced strawberry daiquiri on a warm summer day!!!!
my favorite strawberry dish is super simple- sliced up strawberries dipped in homemade whipped cream! DH and I have been having that for dessert almost all week! Reminds me of summer 🙂
I love making strawberry smoothies with fresh strawberries.
A classic – strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream – YUM!!!!
I love making strawberry rhubarb pie! YUM!!! Reminds me of my grandmother.
I LOVE to make a strawberry apple rustic pie. Super yummy!!
Amanda Sher
My favorite thing to make with strawberries are definitely strawberry shortcakes! So fresh, so light and fluffy….it’s summer in every bite 🙂
Strawberry shortcake on sugar sprinkled ,Bisquick biscuits, topped with whipped cream-Yum! For all year long, I must have strawberry jam. I usually make freezer jam in strawberry season.
i love strawberry cheese cupcakes. we seldom have strawberries when i was growing up in the philippines, but when we could get some from the market, it goes directly to the cheese cake my mom used to make. yum!! now i’m homesick!!!
My favorite thing to do with strawberries is to eat them….just as they are! 😉
Balsamic Vinegar with a touch of sugar! YUMMY!!!
Fresh strawberries alone or with a dollop of whipped cream are probably my favorite but I also love strawberry preserves, smoothies & pie!
I make something called “Strawberry Cracker Pie”. It’s a meringue crust made with crushed saltines and chopped pecans, then baked. When cooled, it’s filled with sliced strawberries and topped with whipped cream.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a fruit salsa recipe from Pampered Chef using apples and kiwis and dipping brown sugar cinnamon tortilla chips in the fruit salsa! Go Papertrey!
I love strawberries just as they are. Sweet, sweet. However, I often make vanilla smoothies and add strawberries!
I love strawberries sliced whith whipped topping on shortbread.
It’s simple: I eat them straight from the box (after washing them of course). That’s the best way! Mmm, delicious.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a simple strawberry shortcake. Keeps all the natural flavors of the strawberries.
Just plain strawberries (sprinkled with a little sugar, of course!) Put them on top of ice cream, cheesecake, poundcake, shortcake .. sliced and put in as “filling” on a chocolate layercake … I just love strawberries – any time and any way!
I love making smoothies with strawberries and blueberries. Thanks for the chance to win!
My daughter and I love to make Strawberry Enchiladas…sounds a little weird…but so delicious..just put strawberry pie filling into flour tortillas and top with a sugar, butter, water mixture to sort of marinate the tortillas. Top with cinnamon sugar and pecans..then bake. Eat them warm with whipped cream on top. …so you see why I need the new strawberry set!!!
For Strawberry Season I have a fresh salad recipe that uses lots of fresh strawberries and it’s the best, BUT for year round, my frozen strawberry jam made during strawberry season and kept for year round can’t be beat.
Fruit salad, plain and fabulous.
Since I am always trying to make low calorie deserts, my favorite thing to make with strawberries is angel food cake. Serve cut up strawberries along with a dollop of whip cream it is a heavenly desert with low calories.
My grandmother (who is 101!) has a wonderful dessert called Strawberry Fluff. That and strawberry pie like you used to get at Shoney’s!! My favs!
I love strawberries on my daily spinach salad! [I don’t bake] 🙂
My favorite way to enjoy fresh strawberries is Strawberry Shortcake. It has to be on a biscuit though. I also enjoy them in a smoothie with banana. There certainly is nothing wrong with just plain strawberries either. 😉
i love to make the easy bisquick drop biscuits. i mix the fresh strawberries w/ some sugar & layer on the delicious berries. thanks.
Raw strawberries (or mixed in fruit salad) is great but I just got my grandma’s recipe for homemade strawberry icebox pie, so I think that wins! 🙂
Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite thing to make with strawberries!
Oh dear, I pretty much love anything that has strawberries in it! However, last year I discovered a new recipe that makes me everyone’s favorite person when I make it! It’s a recipe for Fresh Strawberry muffins that I found in a spring issue of Land O’ Lakes recipes…yeah, everything butter. You would have thought Paula Deen came up with the recipe for those muffins! Man, they are GOOD!
I love strawberries! My favorite way to eat them is dipped in chocolate fondue:)
It would have to be The Pioneer Woman’s Strawberry Shortcake Cake. http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/strawberry-shortcakecake/ Oh so good!!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is… cards! I have been horribly allergic to them since I was 28. Now I can’t even be in the same room with them and my lips start to swell and I start to wheeze. Before my allergy, I would have to say my favorite way to eat strawberries was fresh and sweet. Then it would have to be Strawberry Rhubarb pie. Mmmmm, yum. I still dream of being able to eat strawberries again, sigh
I adore just about any strawberry recipe. Strawberry pie, strawberry lemonade, strawberry daqueris…but I think my favorite would have to be homemade strawberry jam, because you can have it year round. Yummy!
my favorite strawberry dessert is a trifle made with strawberries, angel food cake, and loads of cool whip. slice strawberries, tear angel food cake into pieces, and layer with cool whip (into a trifle bowl) until all ingredients are used up. it is best when chilled overnight, but can be eaten immediately — delicious!
I love strawberry shortcake and whipped cream, especially if the shortcake and whipped topping are made from scratch. Smothering them with strawberries is awesome.
My most favorite thing to do with strawberries is to just eat them fresh. I love dipping them in sugar and just enjoying them that way. This is always such a wonderful 1 time treat for the grand children. I can get away with it just because it is a grandma thing.
gettin’ inky…
I love strawberries any way! But, I think Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favorites.
Ok it is really tough to pick just one…..but I’d have to say my favorite is fresh homemade strawberry shortcake….followed closely by strawberries and devenshire cream 🙂
Just as is for the perfect strawb, otherwise jam ’em !!!
Thanks for the opportunity !
I just love strawberries so it’s hard to narrow it down to one, but I guess I would have to say freezer strawberry jam because we can enjoy that all year. Somehow, it tastes even better when there is tons of snow on the ground and we are eating strawberry jam filled with strawberries that we picked ourselves. I use the recipe on the Sure-Jell box – turns out great every year!
My favorite strawberry recipe is shortcake with fresh whipped cream. Don’t tell anyone, but I use Bisquick and the recipe on the box to make the shortcake 😉
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a 3 layer chocolate cake with strawberry filling! Yum! I just make a regular chocolate cake but divide the batter into 3 8″ cake pans and bake for a little less than the recipe requires. Cool for 10 mins before removing cakes from pans and placing on wire racks.
The filling between the cakes is made from strawberries. Actually it’s supposed to be raspberries, but I don’t like them! This recipe is from Taste of Home.
Filling for Strawberry and Chocolate cake:
(original recipe is called Chocolate Raspberry Torte Recipe)
3 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup cold milk
1 pkg (small) instant vanilla pudding
1 8 oz carton whipped topping, thawed
2 cups chopped strawberries
approx 4 large strawberries for the top
confectioner’s sugar
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Combine milk and pudding mix; beat into cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and strawberries. Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread with half of the filling. Repeat layers. Top with remaining cake. I like to slice the large strawberries into a fan shape (without slicing all the way through the strawberry) and place them on top of the cake. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
*I have used light and low fat ingredients without a problem.
It would be a homemade smoothy, with a little splenda, lots of strawberries, nonfat milk and crushed ice…just so easy and very yummy!
Tough call. I love strawberry shortcake and strawberry rhubarb crisp. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m afraid I’ve never made anything with strawberries – they get eaten fresh long before there’s time to actually do anything else with them!
Definitely would have to be Strawberry Dip. It’s so easy and DELICIOUS.
Strawberry cream cheese whipped together with Kraft Marshmallow Creme. Serve with whole strawberries and cut up cantaloupe. YUMMY.
Hands down it would have to be strawberry shortcake with sweet biscuits and cream! Oh so yummy!
I LOVE strawberries and cream cheese on bagels, but if I could make strawberry jam, I would — I’m pretty pathetic in the kitchen, but I love to look at gorgeous photos of food (and even more, I love to eat what’s in them!)
I love to make a shortbread and then slice the strawberries over (a large) cookie.
The berry juices soften the cookie and it all tastes so good!
I love to make strawberry shortcake. It’s my favorite dessert!
I am a strange girl, so I only eat fresh fruits… and when I say fresh, it pretty much has to be picked that day. I can drink strawberry milkshake, but no pie or cake for me… hubby loves strawberry shortcake though!
Strawberry shortcake. I have been wanting to try it on skewers, so much more kid friendly. Just speaks summer to me.
I have a strawberry torte recipe using angelfood cake, strawberries, coolwhip and Cheesecake pudding. Even the low-fat version is yummy!
1 pkg. sugar-free vanilla pudding (cooked variety)
1 pkg. sugar-free strawberry Jello
2 1/4 c. water
24 oz. fresh strawberries
Pre-made reduced fat graham cracker crust
Mix water, Jello and pudding in saucepan. Stirring constantly boil for 1 minute; cool. Pour over fresh strawberries. The berries could be in a pie crust, graham cracker crust or a cake pan lined with graham crackers. If using a 9 x 13 inch cake pan, the recipe would have to be doubled. For graham cracker crust, use light butter and equal top with lite Cool Whip. Serves 4.
strawberry shortcake was a childhood favorite. My son loves strawberry smoothies so I use them to make that more now.
Love strawberries sliced over a fresh baked shortbread cookie.
Strawberry pie!! Somehow I had lost my original post so I copied the recipe back in but forgot to rewrite the NAME of what I like to make!! 🙂
I used to hate strawberries, but I have just recently began making desserts with (and eating) them! I like to keep it simple and top pound cake with strawberries and cool whip!
I make two versions of strawberry cake – classic one that I ice with cream cheese buttercream, and the second are my strawberry champagne cupcakes (recipe here: http://polkadotsandpaint.blogspot.com/2011/06/grown-up-cupcakes.html).
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a trifle. Love the layers of sweet strawberries, fresh whipped cream and moist pound cake. Thanks for the chance to win!!
Well, I’d have to say that I love to eat fresh jam that my grandmother and mom make with strawberries. It’s great on a warm english muffin or heated a little and dropped onto vanilla ice cream!!
My favorite desert is strawberry shortcake. I have never been a “pie person”, so my Mom would do the shortcake for me. With real cream and angel food cake…yum!
Strawberry jam! Goes perfect with everything! In all honesty, I like eating strawberries all by itself, freshly picked!
Spring salad with baby spinach, thick-sliced strawberries, and a dressing with balsamic vinegar, honey, and dijon…a bowl of springtime. or washed strawberries and a dish of whipped cream to dip them in. or…..sigh.
Fresh strawberries with balsamic vinegar and a touch of splenda!
My favorite thing to make is Strawbwrrie Rhubarb Apple Pie!! =)
With this recipe you can make 2 pies!! For one cut the recipe inhalf!!
STRAWBERRY-RHUBARB-APPLE PIE
4 Granny Smith Apples (peeled and sliced)
4 cups of Rhubarb (cut in 1/2 inch pieces)
1 large container of frozen strawberries or 2 cups of fresh strawberries slices
2 cups of sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/3 cup tapioca
mix ingredients and add to either homemade pie crusts or prebought pie crusts!! Either way this pie is DELICIOUS!! =)
Place in oven at 350 for 20 minutes with tin foil around the crust edge, remove foil after 20 min. ans bake for another 20 min. or until light brown on top crust!! Trust me if you have NEVER tried Rhubard this is the BEST PIE TO TRY!! I added the apples to the recipe a couple years ago because I have some picky eaters, they LOVE this pie and I know it is because of the apples!!
P.S If you want just a Srawberry Rhubard Pie just omit the apples!! =)
THANKS for the chance to win and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
Every year, I can’t wait for strawberry season! When they start showing up in grocery stores, my soul does a little celebration jig. When it comes to recipes, I am a strawberry purist … I love them most when they are fresh and plain and ready to eat. There’s nothing like a sunripened strawberry!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a smoothie also containing a banana. I make it almost every day as my kids love them.
My family loves strawberry pizza! I am going to make strawberry jam in the next couple of weeks. I love this set!
Strawberry shortcake will win me over anytime!
My absolute favourite thing to make with strawberries is freezer jam. For anyone unfamiliar with it, you make it with a packaged mix, half the amount of sugar of uncooked jam and you don’t cook it. This also means no sterilizing any jars once they’re filled. A huge perk! The jam is preserved in the freezing process and keeps its wonderful fresh taste. There is nothing better than enjoying that bright, beautiful, fresh strawberry jam taste in mid-winter. This month’s releases have made me anxious for strawberry season to arrive – it’s one of the best times of the year and I think everyone enjoys projects that evoke memories of strawberry season.
Most people I know like strawberry shortcake!
Such an amazing release as always! Love these projects you have posted today too 🙂 I LOVE strawberries and I am more than happy to just wash and eat them, but if I am going to make something with them, my favorite thing is fruit salsa. I found the recipe on allrecipes.com and it is called Annie’s Fruit Salsa. It has strawberries, kiwis, apples – all kinds of yummies and you make cinnamon tortilla chips to eat with it – that recipe is also included! So go check it out! It is so refreshing and yummy! Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite? My mom’s strawberry filled angel food cake! So good! Thanks for another great release!
hello! I love eating strawberries with cream. first disinfect the strawberries and remove them green, then the peak in cubes, and then I put cream, sugar and a while I put the freezer and when they leave, taste great, especially on hot days!
My favorite way to eat strawberries is just plain ole strawberries!
My favorite thing made with strawberries (my husband is the cook) is my Grandma’s strawberry freezer jam. Mmm!
I like to cut them up and hide them in the middle of a slice of angel food cake and a big dollop of cool whip.
i cant see my last comment
The reason I double the recipe is because while I am making a pie and already have everything out I find it is SO EASY to make another one and then freeze it after I have the piecrust ontop. I wrap it in freezer plastic then place it in a freezer safe pie container!! That way if I need a PIE FAST for an event or special occasion and don’t have the time to make one homemade I have one already to go into the oven in the freezer!! You can keep the pie for up to 3-4 months as long as it is wrapped correctly!! =)
I hope you’ll give the recipe a TRY!! =)
I love this time of year. Everyday I can have greek yogurt with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Yum! Aside from that, my favorite strawberry dessert is strawberry rhubarb pie. Yum again!
i love a bowl of fresh strawberries, sliced and delicious without anything added… doesn’t get any better than that!
ooh tough question. I do love strawberries. I love making strawberry pie (without the rhubarb). It is super easy and everyone love it. I also like making strawberry jam, which I just realized I have not make in too long. Thank you for this lovely release, each stamp is as nice as the next. You are all very talented!!!
Strawberry short cake, hands down but instead of the whipped topping I use ice cream!!!!! Wonderful!
my favorite thing to make with strawberries is just plain dip them in sugar and eat them. i love fruit and always look towards the opening of our local strawberry stand. as a child my gram would make strawbery short cake. i wanted mine decomposes. that is i like to eat eac piece separately. the cake she used was salty so i didn’t want it to interfer with my sweet strawberries. thanks for the chance to win. i love the basket die.
Didn’t have to think a second on this one. My kids always want a particular birthday cake that I made for them by accident one year. I tried poking holes in a strawberry cake and pouring blended strawberry down the holes. It was a murky, sticky mess, but they loved it and even though they are all grown up, still ask for that disgusting mess every year on their birthdays. Not my favorite, but then again it is because of the great memories.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is to dip them in chocolate in a fondue pot!
Strawberry Short Cake.
My favorite thing to make is strawberry shortcake; but I love a good strawberry pie…I just don’t make pie anymore. And, thanks to Pinterest, I am finding lots of new strawberry recipes to try this summer.
strawberry trifle from scratch using my grandmother’s pound cake recipe! Always a favourite with (unfortunately) no leftovers!
I love to mix halved strawberries and sliced bananas and then sprinkle them with powdered strawberry Jello – let it sit for awhile while the juices mix with the Jello and thicken. Mmmmmmm – so tasty.
Strawberry trifle x10 and then some…..yum!!
strawberry cake with strawberry icing Yum!
We get deliciously sweet strawberries where we are, so I prefer to eat them as they are. But I also like them in smoothies, crepes, pies, …
Living in Oregon offers me the chance to eat the best strawberries!! The berry is red throughout and so sweet! I love them fresh with real whipped cream! The season is short (about 4 weeks) so I buy as many as I can. Then I make strawberry jam.
DAQUIRIS! That was a no brainer…otherwise chocolate covered strawberries are pretty hard to beat.
I found this recipe on Pinterest a few weeks ago…
http://farmflavor.com/strawberry-sheet-cake/ …
but I have grown up with this cake…
my mom has made it my whole entire life and it is the BEST strawberry cake EVER!!
EVER!!!
And perfect on a hot Summer day because it’s better once it’s been refrigerated and is kept cool!
Love, love, LOVE this cake!! 🙂
Thank you so much for all the amazing inspiration…
everyone…
and all projects have just been spectacular!!
We’re a strawberry shortcake family! Made with butter biscuits and lightly sweetened fresh strawberries and real whipped cream….this is summer!
My favorite is white chocolate covered strawberries. They are so good. But really anything with strawberries is so yummy!
Chocolate covered strawberries. Those get made a lot around here.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a yogurt and strawberry smoothie. I drink one in the mornings for breakfast in the summer and it keeps me full until lunch! Beautiful releases this month! I love them all!
Strawberry shortcake, of course. Home-made biscuits with slightly sweetened berries topped with fresh, vanilla flavored whipped cream. Yummy.
For the strawberries from my garden, I honestly just like to eat them as they are – they are so sweet! For other berries, I love to use them to top a pavlova or angel food cake.
I love fresh strawberries topped with a little bit of sugar. Heaven!!
Strawberries — just slice those little fellas and freeze them so that they’re always ready to put on top of your favorite vanilla ice cream. Back in Texas I would have said to use Blue Bell ice cream but since moving to Mexico we have discoverd Holanda — it’s delicious!
strawberry lemonade is good and I love strawberry rhubarb pie but mt all time favorite is waffles topped w strawbrries and whipped cream.
Strawberry shortcake for special desserts using home-made bisquits and a large dollop of hand-whipped cream …but if I’m looking for a small dessert after a large meal for the two of us, I’ll use cookies (Keebler’s Sandies, Simply Shortbread) with fresh strawberries and a little whipped cream from a can – yummm:)
While I love strawberry shortcake, my very favorite thing to make is Strawberry Freezer jam. Then I get to enjoy the fresh, fruity goodness all year!
It’s pretty simple! My favorite thing to do with strawberries is to chop them up and add a bit of sugar and then top yummy vanilla ice cream with them!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is STRAWBERRY CUSTARD PIE!!! YUM YUM!!!
To be truthful, a fresh strawberry picked from the vine and popped into my mouth is the berry best. Practically speaking, one of my favorite recipes is to throw 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1/4 cup orange juice, 1 banana, 1/2 a dozen strawberries, and 1/2 a cup of ice into the blender on high and whirl until smooth. Pour into a tall glass with a sprig of mint. Makes a refreshing and nutritious bit of heaven for the palate.
I am looking forward to trying a new recipe with strawberries to make homemade poptarts. It combines a basic pie crust with a homemade strawberry filling that would be wonderful when the berries are fresh. Thanks for the chance to win!
Yum! I love fresh strawberries, they are so refreshing and summery! My favorite thing to make with strawberries is a strawberry mousse pie, topped with fresh strawberries. Thanks for another great release PTI!
love fresh strawberry pie, not w rhubarb, not cooked but fresh juicy strawberries in a lovely shimmering glaze nestled in a tender crust.yummo. sometimes it has a creamy bottom layer which makes it even better. the next best thing is fresh berries just picked and eaten in the garden.
Strawberries remind me of home and summers where we would pick them fresh from our yard.
My friend from college gave me a lovely recipe for strawberry tea breads, which includes pecans and fresh berries. I love making it into small loaves and gifting them. Everyone loves how moist the cake is, most likely from the sour cream in the batter. Looking forward to ordering this evening…
Strawberry-banana smoothies! The kids love having them before school and they’re a great way to get a few servings of fruit in.
I love making strawberry-rhubarb pie. The rhubarb has been growing in my garden forever.
Strawberries are so cheerful that anything in strawberry fabric is perfect. (I’ve already been dreaming of the fabric I will stamp your berries on, as well as paper.) You can’t beat a cute strawberry apron with small white eyelet trim, or napkins with wide white eyelet borders. The same goes for kitchen curtains, in a black and white vintage look kitchen! Strawberries; Is there anything they can’t do?!
I absolutely love making fresh strawberry lemonade when strawberries are in season… or fresh strawberry ice cream with nice sized pieces of fresh strawberries in it…this year I made a variation with goats milk instead of whole milk and it was amazing.
My favorite way to make strawberries would be just to slice them up, sprinkle with sugar, then pile them over a fresh buttered biscuit and serve with whipped cream. Other than that would be to eat them whole. During the months that we can’t get good, fresh, sweet berries, my family loves to eat a strawberry pretzel salad (really more like a dessert) made with frozen berries. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome gift certificate!
My absolute favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry shortcake like my Mother always made. I grew up on an IA farm with a huge strawberry patch and we picked them ad nauseum, BUT she would make huge biscuits (no sweet cake for us!) and we’d cut them in half and pile with fresh strawberries and real whipped cream — YUM!!! Great memories of working together and literally enjoying the fruits of our labor!
I love to make a large pavlova spread whipped cream over it and add sliced fresh strawberrys and raspberrys !
I love strawberries. My favorite thing to do is eat them fresh! After that, I like to make strawberry shortcake and strawberry jam. Yummy!
One of my favorite recipes with fresh berries is a strawberry soufflé, which is a frozen dessert using whipped egg whites and fresh berries. It comes out of the freezer light as a cloud. I serve it with a strawberry sauce to bring out the fresh fruit flavor even more. As always PTI, thanks for an awesome release.
My favourite thing with strawberries has to be my grandmother’s strawberry jam tarts. They are beyond delicious!!
I love strawberries with whipped cream. The trick is you have to add just a touch of vanilla flavor to the whipped cream..so yummy!
Strawberry Shortcakes! So easy, no muss, no fuss. And it MUST have milk or cream on them or they aren’t SS’s. Great release this month!
In thinking about strawberry desserts, one of the most delicious and non traditional ways I serve them is with a little sugar and balsamic vinegar. This seems like an odd combination but its wonderful! Thanks for a wonderful release PTI.
I like fresh strawberries the best, but do make strawberry pie when they are abundant. It’s pie crust, spread with a thin layer of cream cheese, then the pie is filled with fresh strawberries that are mixed with a strawberry glaze. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
I just love mixing strawberries with Amaretto and serve them with ricotta cake….yummy!!
Fresh strawberries and whipped cream … simple, quick, & delicious!!
First off I have to say EVERYTHING was just BEAUTIFUL that was shared this week! Cant wait for tonite!! 2nd.. my favorite thing to make with Strawberries.. obviously strawberry shortcake.. BUT we also love to make Strawberry Crepes using my Mamas crepe recipe! (In face my DD requested them for her birthday next week!) and lets not forget.. homemade strawberry jam… see I can pick! HA HA! 🙂
Have a GREAT day!
strawberries don’t hang around long in our house! if there were any left… a yummy strawberry pie would be nice! beautiful projects from the dt!
I love strawberries chopped up and put in my Oatmeal. Also in a salad with walnuts and chicken topped with Raspberry Vinagrette. MMMM
When the fresh, local strawberries make it to NYC, I just love to make jam! We have a very small apartment, but it is one of those fabulous things that I do year after year. I also love doing combinations of fruit, such as rhubarb and strawberry or mixed berry. Thanks for the opportunity to win! I am keeping my fingers crossed.
My family LOVES strawberry jam…so I make about 6 batches every June…I have two daughters with 3 children each, and I provide the jam for their consumption, so they go through the jam! My favorite would be the spinach and strawberry salad, especially when the berries are Oregon grown, sweet and juicy!
nothing beats fresh strawberries on top of a pavlova. And for an extra touch a bit of homemade strawberry jam hidden under the cream. yum
First of all, I love everything in this release! And, my favorite thing to make with strawberries is definitely strawberry shortcake. I wish I could say I have an amazing recipe, but I just buy the cake premade and slather it in strawberries. Deeelish!!
It would have to be a pavlova, with whipped cream and strawberries on top! Another amazing release Nichole…thank you for the inspiration! Melanie
OMG, I LOVE strawberries in their own sugared syrup on top of a hot fresh piece of my mom’s pound cake, topped with whipped cream…my stomach just growled thinking of it!
Strawberry shortcake is tops in this house, but a good chocolate dipped strawberry never gets turned down, either. LOL!
Oh My, I love strawberries! – Once a year, on Charter Day, my college used to have a big buffet style dinner with chocolate covered strawberries and my roommates and I would go and eat only the strawberries! Those and strawberry shortcake are my favorite strawberry things to EAT (when someone else makes it lol) – but my favorite strawberry thing to make myself is an amazing strawberry vinaigrette that is tart and sweet and delicious!
With fresh strawberries I love to make homemade strawberry shortcake, it’s one of my favorites! Great projects this month!
I love to make stuffed strawberries. They are the hit at every picnic and get together. Mix up Strawberry cream cheese with cool whip, cut the tops off the strawberries, slice open the bottoms and squirt the dip inside. So yummy, anytime.
When I was younger I used to go to my Grandparents for dinner and my Grandad would make homemade strawberry ice cream mmmmmmm for dessert. Ive tried to make it myself but its just not the same 🙁 How I miss him and his ice cream!!
Rach xx
My very favorite is a warm strawberry fresh off the plant but then there is Strawberries on a Cloud which is basically a meringue crust layered with whipped cream and fresh berry sauce. Melts in your mouth!
I like to make strawberry milkshakes with Breyer’s French vanilla ice-cream for my kids as 3:15 snacks!
A family friend shared this recipe with me and its become an absolute favorite. Oreo cookie crust, Yummo! The filling is just a mixture of chocolate chips melted with heavy cream. And topped off with fresh strawberries. That simple and oh so delicious. If you are also nuts like me, or rather like nuts like me, then you can add a combination of your favorite nuts.
The strawberries have been so good lately…but the best are the fresh picked berries straight from the garden – so sweet! My fav dessert is a yellow cake topped with strawberries…yummo!
A great release PTI!!
Strawberries have become so versatile – love them in salads with balsamic dressing and if I have the time having them with meringue and whipped cream – either Pavlova style or Eton Mess 🙂

I absolutely love strawberry shortcake so it’s my favorite thing to make. It helps that it’s my dad’s favorite dessert so I can always plan on making it for his birthday. We love strawberries so much that we have several garden boxes full of them. Hopefully we can get a bumper crop this year!
My favorite strawberry treat is strawberry shortcake using my mom’s shortcake recipe and the ripest June berries. Pure Heaven!
I love making strawberry ruhbarb pie. It’s the perfect summer desert.
My favorite strawberry recipe is very simple and according to my granddaughter, Lily, it is awesomely awesome!
The most important part is the presentation. It must be created in a stem glass dessert bowl. All you do is alternately layer sliced strawberries and cool whip until it is above the rim! Easy, peasy . . . but so special in its presentation.
Her other grandmother called me one day to find out why Lily said her recipe was wrong. I had given her the “recipe”, but had failed to mention the stemed glassware and that is what made it wrong according to Lily! We laughed and I gave her one of mine so she could make it just right! We still laugh about it.
We can’t get good rhubarb where I live, but my mom used to grow it in our garden when I was growing up. She made the most amazing strawberry-rhubarb pie. The strawberries are ripening early in NC now, though, and I hope to go to a pick-your-oen farm nearby next weekend. We’ll just eat them plain or in strawberry shortcake.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry shortcakes!
Thanks
Kemma mykemma at gmaildotcom
I really love just eating the strawberries fresh but if the last long enough I love to make strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream. Nothing says summer like strawberry shortcake.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry shortcakes!

Each year when the strawberries ripen I make strawberry jam for my husband. It is the only kind he eats and swears the store bought kind does not compare. Thanks for all the great inspiration this month from all the Design Team and yourself Nichole, I am getting my list ready for tonight!!

Fresh strawberry pie with whipped cream on top. Oh, and the crust would be from scratch and the whipped creM real. No cool whip for this creation! I ask for this on my birthday instead of cake. 🙂

I love to make a strawberry pudding dessert. It’s not a pudding at all but fresh strawberries embedded in a sweet, soft dough which is soft when baked but crusty on top. It’s great in a stemmed dish with fresh whipped cream on top! I got the recipe from a family farm in Illinois that grows its own strawberries and has “you pick” in early summer. Wonderful!
I love fresh strawberries better than anything else! Add a litte whipped cream and enjoy!

So many gorgeous cards- and new products!
My favourite thing to make with strawberries is white (or milk) chocolate pavlova. It’s like a chocolate meringue with cream and berries on top. The only problems are that it disappears fast and – due to the sugar content – you can’t eat too much.
My mothers home made jam.
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is chocolate dipped strawberries- yum!
My favorite thing to make with strawberries is strawberry rhubarb jelly every summer fresh from my garden, but now that I’ve seen the new Strawberry Patch stamps and dies I think it just might be making cards!!!
Strawberry freezer jam – we love using it as vanilla ice cream topping
Plain and simple, I just love strawberries! I was so excited, when three summers ago, my husband announced he would be adding a patch to our garden! Now we enjoy them fresh from our own garden. My mom happens to be the best cook so my favorite strawberry summertime dish would have to be her famous Strawberry Pizza. I have tried to make it but it just does not taste the same. I love strawberries and cannot wait to get the new strawberry items you guys are offering this month.
Plain old fresh is wonderful but I also love a salad of fresh asparagus with strawberries, blue cheese and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Yum!
Not original – but the Best – STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, oc course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just made starwberry cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting… I could have eaten the frosting all by itself! My favorite 🙂
Just fresh strawberries with a little light whipped cream (just a little ;O) are fantastic. I like them best the way they are, warmed by the sun and freshly picked. Mmmmmh
Apart from that, I like to put them on cards – not the real ones of course!
Greetings from Germany, where the strawberries take at least another month or two to ripen,
Christine
My favorite thing to make is strawberry pie, or strawberry jam. That way we can enjoy them all year.
I love strawberry shortcake as my mom served that for dinner when they were in season as a kid–we thought that was so neat to have dessert for dinner! Now we usually just eat the berries sliced with some whipped cream on top–yum!
my favorite is to do nothing at all with the strawberries. I just LOVE to eat them with cream and little sugar on top. That’s the best!!!
Anything strawberry is great but my favorite is Strawberry & Saskatoon Berry Pie (Saskatoon are picked in the wild in Manitoba & Saskatchewan). It is a bit of an odd combination but tastes great!
Strawberries are easily my favorite fruit. I love them in salads, but when I want something sweet nothing beats strawberry shortcake. I make mine with homemade pie crust cut into different shapes with cookie cutters instead of a sponge cake.
There are three recipes I think of when we have strawberries. First are the sweet memories of making strawberry jam with my mom. Next, my oldest daughter always requested angel food cake with strawberries for her birthday celebration in May. But, probably my very favorite recipe for strawberries is strawberry shortcake – I’m famous for it in my family!
My favorite thing to do with strawberries is to slice angel food cake, top with slices and sweeten the strawberries with a touch of sugar, and finish with a giant glob of cool whip. The best always!
My favorite thing is strawberry shortcake as my mom served that for dinner when I was a kid during the season. We thought it was so neat to have dessert for dinner! Now we just eat them sliced with a little whipcream on top–yum!
My mom made an amazing strawberry pie with a graham cracker crust,a creme cheese mix layer and a layer with strawberries and strawberry jello. It was the required dessert of any summertime gathering in our family!!
fresh strawberries are delicioius! with all the man-made goodies, and trust me i practically live on chocolate, when i eat something natural and delicious such as fresh strawberries, im re-amazed at G-d’s unbeatable flavoring skills! (and these stamps, like so many of your others, really look delectable!)
Mmm…strawberry shortcake! I love strawberries on anything, too, lol!
Besides making pretty strawberry cards with pretty strawberry stamps I like to make strawberry pie, yum!
I love making Strawberry Shortcake (kids love it too)! Also just slicing up strawberries and sprinkling a little sugar over them. Nothing better than fresh, ripe strawberries!
Daiquiris. Sorry but this the best I could come up with!
Love some strawberries dipped in chocolate and of course strawberry shortcake; combine the two and double the yumminess! : )
Another awesome release this month with many “gotta have” products. Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation with the gorgeous projects from the design team. Thanks for the chance to win this most generous prize!
PTI ROCKS!!!
I like freshly picked strawberries cut up and mixed with a little brown sugar and balsamic vinegar, yum!
My favorite will always be ripe juicy strawberries fresh from the vine while I’m out picking. Although, it does tie my recipe for homemade Strawberry Key-Lime Jam. Every year I make this I have people lined up waiting for a jar of this yummy jam. It has little chunks of strawberries and the hint of lime in the background. I enjoy making it and I really enjoy the smile it puts on peoples faces the first time they try it. I’ve been told I need to submit this to the state fairs and to find a way to sell it. So I won’t be able to give you my secret recipe because maybe someday you will see it on the shelf of your local grocery store:) Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing prize. All of you put out such beautiful work this month!
We love strawberries anyway you choose, strawberry pie, strawberry cake, shortcake, strawberry and spinach salad, you name it we just love strawberries. But our favorite, we cut them up, and in a lb container we put 3 sweet and lows. Let them set a while in the refrigerator. Then serve them with a dollop of cool whip. I wished I had some now.
Definitly Strawberry Shortcake. I maserate the berries~ cut and put in a bowl with sugar and a dash or 2 of salt (helps draw the juices out more). For shortcake I just use the Bisquick recipe, my fave, but after I put the dough on the pan I baste with meltd butter and sprinkle with sugar, OMGosh yummy! As soon as the shortcakes are out of the oven, on a plate they go, cover with the maserated berries and top with cool whip. LOVE IT
I made it for Easter last week. Fresh strawberries, homemade angel food cake, and real whipped cream! Yum!!!
I’m a made-from-scratch strawberry shortcake fanatic!
Oh my goodness, when I was much younger I went to Portland, TN, with a friend to pick strawberries. I was going to be little Miss Homemaker and make strawberry jam. Nobody had told me that you have to watch the pot like a hawk and stir a lot. I ended up with an inch of strawberry jam all over the top of my stove. I never made anything with strawberries again (except maybe a salad because you don’t have to cook the strawberries.) But I love strawberries…as long as someone else does the cooking.
I like to make them into a fruit crumble. You can use as many other fruits with the strawberries to total 6 cups of fruit (blueberries, cherries, raspberries, diced apples, blackberries, peaches etc. Mix fruit with 1/3 cup sugar. Cut together: 3/4 cup oats, 3/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 stick butter. Put fruit in baking dish and top with crumb topping. Bake at 375 degrees 30-40 minutes or until top is browned and fruit is bubbly.
I love strawberries just as they are or with a little sugar sprinkled on top. They are so freash and juicy 🙂

I live in Florida, so strawberries are just a part of life where I’m from! I just love them so many ways, but my new favorite is a quick and easy strawberry jam recipe I recently discovered. It literally takes minutes to make and lasts in the frig for 3 weeks and in the freezer for a year!
Recipe:
2 cups crushed strawberries (make sure they’re firm and not too ripe before crushing; learned this the hard way!)
4 cups sugar
1 box of Sure-Jell fruit pectin
3/4 cup water
Mix crushed strawberries and sugar in bowl. Let sit 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Mix water and Sure-Jell in small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly. Continue to boil and stir one more minute. Add to fruit mixture and stir until most of the sugar is dissolved.
Fill container(s) leaving about 1/2″ at the top. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours.
Now, you’re ready for the best strawberry jam ever!! Enjoy!
My all time favorite to make with strawberries is strawberries and cream! and dipping them in dark chocolate!

One of my favorite desserts that has strawberries in it is Boccone Dolce. It is baked meringue with whipping cream and chocolate layered with fresh fruit (usually berries)–made with strawberries and bananas is my favorite!
This recipe comes from Papa Haydens, one of Portland, Oregon’s favorite dessert masters. This recipe uses fresh Oregon berries, which are some of the best in the world.
Meringue Layers (2-3)
6 oz melted bittersweet chocolate (feel free to substitute your favorite kind)
3 pints mixed berries (may use your favorite fruit, we love fresh raspberry and blackberry)
Sweetened whipped cream
For the meringue layers, you’ll need the following:
1 1/2 cups egg whites
2 cups sugar
1. Whip the egg whites on high until they come to a stiff peak
2. Turn down the mixture to medium speed and start adding sugar 1 Tablespoon at a time, every 2 to 3 minutes. This allows the sugar to be absorbed. You’ll notice the meringue will become very thick and glossy.
3. You will need to line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Draw the circles (the size you want your meringue layers to be) on the under side of the parchment.
4. Take a rubber spatula and start spreading the meringue inside the circles.
5. Bake at 225 degrees for 2 and a half hours. Meringue should be white in color and crispy all the way through. If they’re still soft after this time, you can bake them longer. The low temperature will prevent them from browning too quickly.
For the sweetened whipping cream, you’ll need the following:
4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1/4 cup sugar (or more, to your taste)
1. Whip cream to soft peak
2. Add vanilla and sugar
3. Whip cream to stiff peak — then it’s ready to use. The cream needs to be stiff in order for it to hold the meringue layers together.
4. Flavoring the whipped cream to compliment the fruit with a smidgen of spice like ground cardamom or an orange liqueur adds another a counter point to the classic vanilla.
Let’s put together the Boccone Dolce:
1. Put one layer of meringue on your serving plate
2. Drizzle melted chocolate over the layer
3. Spread 1/4 of your whipped cream on top of the layer, and top with berries.
4. Spread 1/4 of the cream on top of the berries.
5. Repeat with next layer
6. Top with 3rd meringue layer. Drizzle with chocolate.
7. Decorate with edible fresh flowers, fruit, mint or geranium leaves. Enjoy!

Being a Louisiana Cajun, it’s a part of our heritage to bake small sweet dough pies with strawberry filling, especially in the spring of the year. I always bake them for family and friends when the new crop of Louisiana strawberries are harvested from mid-February to the end of April. It’s carrying on an old tradition that has lasted ever since the Acadian people (Cajuns) migrated from Nova Scotia. Extra strawberries are preserved or frozen for the pies in winter months when no fresh strawberries are available.

There is nothing like strawberry picking in the summer! I love the smell of the fields as you are out there picking! And there is nothing like fresh strawberry pie with whipped cream on top! By far my favorite thing to make with strawberries…but a close second would be strawberry lemonade!!!
Mmmm, strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream!
Fresh picked strawberries eaten plain are the best. Not the ones from the store, which taste nothing like strawberries, but from a field. When you bite into them they are bright red and juicy. Wish strawberry season would hurry up and get here! Great release.
I tried making strawberry ice cream, but didn’t have all the necessary ingredients. I put it all in the machine anyway and we had The Best strawberry milkshakes EVER!! It was strawberry puree, about two cups, a can of sweetened condensed milk, about a cup of heavy cream and a splash or two of milk. Next time I might actually try and use a recipe and see if I can get ice cream. :0)
Strawberry-Rhubarb crisp!
Strawberry pie…yum!!!
My mom use to make Strawberry and Rhubarb sauce when we were growing up it was so good. I haven’t had it since I lived at home
I prefer to just eat the ripe fruit the way it is or make a smoothie. When we were little we would pick wild strawberries in Northern Ontario. We would just throw them on our cereal or have them in a bowl with milk and sugar.
We love eating strawberry ice cream at the lake. Doesn’t get any better.
I love strawberries in my spinach salad. Spinach and strawberries are great together!
Strawberry shortcake for sure. With whipped cream of course!

Chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne! A classic but for good reason. I’ve only had it a few times but the first and most memorable was curtesy of my husband in celebration of my starting a business.
I don’t make anything, myself,…but I sure do miss my mother’s homemade jam!! (LOVED the strawberries in this month’s release!!)
One of my favorite summertime yummy things to eat is a recipe my German husband shared with me called “Muesli”. You take oats and soak them in milk, then add yogurt, granola and a bunch of fresh fruit (including strawberries of course!) and serve it chilled. It is so delicious on a warm summer day!

I can’t decide between my top two things – strawberry freezer jam and strawberry shortcake! I bake a fresh shortcake from an old Mennonite cookbook that bakes up delicious EVERY time and then we put fresh strawberries & whipped cream over top – simple but delicious!
Here’s the recipe from the Mennonite cookbook:
OLD-FASHIONED STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
2 cups flour
3 Tbsp Sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350. Stir flour, sugar, baking powder & salt together in a bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with pastry cutter until crumbly. Combine egg & milk together, then add all at once, stirring just until moistened. Spread in a 9-inch cake or pie pan. Sprinkle a little sugar over the top & bake for 15-18 min. Do not overbake. Serve with strawberries & whipped cream – enjoy!
My favorite is just to eat strawberries plain. Otherwise, strawberry shortcake would be my next favorite.

Recipe: Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Cake
Ingredients
■1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
■2 cups sugar
■3 eggs
■3 Tb. lemon juice, divided
■Zest of 1 lemon
■2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, divided
■½ tsp. baking soda
■½ tsp. salt
■8 oz. plain or vanilla, Greek yogurt
■12 oz. fresh strawberries, diced
■1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 325*. Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Sift together the 2 ¼ cups of flour, baking soda and salt. Mix in the lemon zest and set aside.
2.With an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in 1 Tb. lemon juice. Alternate beating in the flour mixture and the yogurt, mixing just until incorporated.
3.Toss the strawberries with the remaining ¼ cup of flour. Gently mix them into the batter.
4.Pour the batter into the Bundt pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
5.Allow to cool at least 20 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Once cooled whisk together the remaining 2 Tb. of lemon juice and the powdered sugar. Drizzle over the top of the cake.
NOTE: I’ve had a few questions over the texture of the batter in this cake. What I’ve discovered is that the consistency of the yogurt and the juiciness of the berries, greatly determined the consistency of the batter. Thick, (dryer) yogurt will produce a thicker batter, in which the berries won’t sink to the bottom (top) of the cake. Either way, it is a great cake–don’t worry about the thickness.

Strawberry Mandarin Salad
Makes: salad for about 6 people
Preparation Time: About 30 minutes
I got this recipe over 10 years ago from the sister-in-law of a friend visiting from Arizona. The sister-in-law made lunch for us in San Jose and had strawberries fresh from her garden. I remember eating about 3 bowls of this salad! I’ve been making this salad ever since and everyone loves it.
Salad:
10 ounces mixed greens (containers sold at any large grocery store)
1/4 of a big red onion, sliced thinly
11 oz. mandarin oranges, drained
2 cups sliced strawberries (approx. 1 pound)
1/2 cup sliced almonds (I usually toast them slightly in a pan)
Poppy Seed Dressing:
This dressing recipe makes almost twice as much dressing as you will need. Save the remainder in the refrigerator for the next batch of salad.
1/2 cup sugar (I use slightly less)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup oil (I use olive oil or grape seed oil)
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Whisk the dressing ingredients. Toss with the salad ingredients right before serving. Enjoy!
