I am so incredibly excited to have the opportunity to begin showcasing some of the new products for our FABULOUS August release! This is sure to be a month that will knock your socks off and I can hardly wait for you to see everything! We have to start somewhere and I thought I would turn your thoughts towards pretty plates, gorgeous silver, dinner party place settings and the joy of celebrating special occasions.
From simple…
to elegant…
the fresh colors & textures of spring…
the bright hues & sunny days of summer…
the earthiness & rustic feel of autumn…
the crisp cold of winter, the festive excitement in the air at Christmas…
a little something blue…
and how can we forget all of the beautiful colors & patterns that can be found on plates, especially those that are vintage.
Table Service is a new set that has the flexibility to embrace all of these things and more. With silverware, several varieties of plates, placemat trim, decorative elements for napkins and more, this is a set you truly would never get bored with. And the unique sentiment designs and wording will have you using this set for dinner & party invitations, menu card, thank you's and even birthday greetings. Cake, anyone? :)
The details.
- Table Service will be available for sale on August 15th.
- It will retail for $24.
- Table Service contains a total of 44 stamps (1 placemat trim/frame, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 knife, 2 decorative scrolls, 1 small decorative accent, 1 stripe accent, 1 solid plate, 5 plate edge trims, 1 wine glass, 1 wine filler, 2 cake images, 2 flower icons, 4 large sentiments and 20 small companion sentiments)
- There will be a coordinating die collection available for sale separately, retailing for $8. The dies will cut out shapes to coordinate with the wine glass, silverware, plate & placemat. There are also two shapes to create your own napkins. Each piece of silverware measures about 1-1/8" tall x 1/4" wide. The plate measures 1-3/8" in diameter. The placement measures 2-3/4" x 1-3/4".
Now that we have covered some of the details, let's get onto some projects!
Did you notice the second inspiration photo I shared with yo at the beginning of this post? That is what inspired this first project. There is something so classy about pairing up True Black & Sweet Blush.
I thought I would give you just a little peek at one of the new products coming this month (the details will be revealed a bit later in the week). I impressed this plate into the top portion of my card front.
The sentiments in this set are SO fun. I love how all the thin lines in the bold letters heat emboss so well, especially when using Filigree Powders.
I wanted to show you how I assembled the sentiments for this card onto a single block. Table Service includes large sentiments in the fancy font that can be paired with a variety of smaller words to create an invitation or thank you for nearly any occasion. By putting them all on a single block it makes it easy to see how everything will work together before you even stamp. This also helps to speed things up if you are mass-producing.
The placemat was die-cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and stamped with Damask Designs using VersaMark. The plate "frame" was stamped onto white cardstock using True Black ink. The silhouette image added to the center is from Postmarks. In fact ALL of the images from Postmarks & Places, Please work PERFECTLY with Table Service! So many options!
I added the silverware on either side of the plate directly to the placemat with True Black ink as well.
The next best thing to heat embossing the fun sentiments in this new set? Heat embossing the silverware to it has a realistic metallic look!
I started with Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the solid plate using Spring Moss ink. I then added the decorative ring with Simply Chartreuse ink. I let that dry just a bit, then stamped the fork with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Silver Filigree Embossing Powder. LOVE THIS! The cake was stamped with Hawaiian Shores ink and trimmed out with scissors. I added a bit of color to the "cake layers" using a Aqua Mist Copic marker.
The sentiment was stamped in Hawaiian Shores with the small flourishes above are stamped with Aqua Mist.
I added a border under the focal point with the Medium Scalloped Border die and Spring Moss cardstock. Small rhinestones adorn each individual scallop. I outlined the Hawaiian Shores background layer with a silver DecoArt pen.
The corners of the focal point were cut with a 5/8" circle punch, giving it a fun ticket corner look.
Next, a little something that would be perfect for the Thanksgiving hostess, or really any occasion. You could switch out the colors to suit your needs.
And yes, more metallic embossing with the utensils…this time with Gold Filigree Embossing Powder. The solid plate was stamped with Vintage Cream ink and the plate trim added with Dark Chocolate. I went back in with my gold DecoArt pen to add gold dots to the plate rim. Notice the napkin? I was able to monogram it with the Simple Alphabet. Perfect fit.
For the stripes on the napkin I used this double stripe border from the set. It was designed to have a variety of applications, which include trimming any of the napkins or the placemat.

Did you spy the background? That's a peek at the new houndstooth from Maile Belles! We'll be going into more detail about that later in the week as well! I stamped the pattern onto my card base using VersaMark ink. I then used my gold DecoArt pen again to add a border around the edge.
Now a fun & festive card that can be used for anything worth celebrating!
I used the Placecard die & Places Please frame for this project. I wanted to show you how I used the frame twice to "stretch" it to stick out below my sentiment strip. Super easy way to get more use from your dies & stamps.
The frame was stamped in Raspberry Fizz and then I added the little cupcake from Everyday Treats in Orange Zest. I added a small rhinestones to the top to replace the cherry and add some sparkle.
The pretty "brackets" used on this card are actually originally designed as decorative plate trim. But they work beautifully for this purpose too!
The background was created by placing all three utensils on a single block and rotating them after each impression to create a multi-directional background. They were stamped with Raspberry Fizz onto Hibiscus Burst cardstock.
I love how bright & festive this is, but you could get several different looks with the same design just by swapping out the colors.
For my last project today I have a little ensemble. It would be a great way to show a little appreciation to a dinner hostess.
The card is really quite simple in design.
I stamped the mums image from the Year of Flowers Collection in Fresh Snow ink along the bottom and side of my Kraft card front. I then outlined them with a T1 Copic marker. A bit of Fresh Snow ink was swiped around the outside edges.
The sentiments were stamped with Smokey Shadow ink. The double line border that I used on the napkin earlier was stamped in Summer Sunrise on either side of the bottom portion of the sentiment.
The placemat was die-cut from Melon Berry cardstock and stamped with the coordinating frame from the stamp set using Berry Sorbet ink. The napkin was die-cut from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped with the floral image Table Service using Summer Sunrise ink. The utensils were die-cut from Vintage Cream and stamped with Smokey Shadow. The plate outlines & floral detail were stamped in Summer Sunrise ink onto Harvest Gold cardstock. I also swiped a bit of Fresh Snow ink around the edge.
The coordinating gift tin features the same type of background on the strip adhered to the side. The top features layers from Limitless Layers 2.5" Circle die collection. And…how can I forget that beautiful three-dimensional mum attached to the top?
It is made with a brand new die that we are releasing this month! You won't want to miss the details on this product later on this week! The detail is unlike anything else I have seen on the market!
The mum was tied in place with a bit of Vintage Cream Twine.

Day one and already smitten! One of the things I’ve always admired about PTI is how new sets coordinate with previous releases. And Nicole, you’ve really showcased this feature here. Plus, a sneak peak at Houndstooth, a Mehndi impression plate and that new Mum die – can’t wait to learn more details!
Our family helps out with the Salvation Army Thanksgiving dinner every year in our community. This would be a great set to make thank you gifts for the coordinators and volunteers. And, to make some tent cards to go along with the traditional centerpieces. And, the 3D mum — wow!

For a casual look, wouldn’t it be fun to cut some little squares from a small print fabric (or solid), fold ’em with a pocket, and then tuck the silverware into it? The Table Service set & die will be awesome for teaching students to set the table properly. I’m thinking of cutting lots of pieces for each student placed in a baggie. They could use the pieces to create differrent styles of table service. I think this set is a school expense!!!!!

I love how you made the silerware look real with the silver embossing and I must try that outlining of the stamped white mums with T1 copic, awesome look. Can’t wait to see more with the Mum die. Wonderful cards as usual.

Interesting stamp set.
Right now I can’t picture myself using it for cards – but I think it can be a fun set to play with when making receipe books – for decorating them I mean.
It could also be a useful set for some scrapbook pages with photos related to eating / resturant visits.

Wow, you’ve done it again! I have lots of dinner parties, but rarely send invitations any more. So I was thinking, “It will be a fun set, but I won’t need that one.” You have shown such wonderful examples (esp. the ‘eat desert first’)that I will need to own the stamps. You think of everything – like the two narrow stripes for the linens – inspired.
How did you know about the mum die? The small many petaled flower die was the one basic flower missing from your fabulous collection. There’s more than ‘just mums’ in that die.

I think I would use these a lot for parties. My boys are having friends over for a party for everything (i.e. birthday, Christmas, Halloween, back 2 school, etc.)

This new set reminds me of the elaborate work that goes into setting a Thanksgiving or Christmas table. I would use it to add a sophisticated name card to each place setting. I just love it and know it would impress my guests.
