Introducing Tag-its #3 & Library Ledger Year Additions

April 11, 2011      Nichole Heady      674 Comments

Thank you so much for sharing all of your excitement with us yesterday!  I am thrilled to be able to present you with Day 2 of our fabulous April Release and continue the momentum!

  Heather's headshot

Heather Nichols has been busy once again and she has three sets in total for you this month, however today we are specifically highlighting two of them!

First is the next addition in her popular Tag-its line!  Tag-its #3 is one of the most adorable sets EVER and makes me think of spring!  It features a leafy circular border that will coordinate with our Limitless Layers 1.75" Circle dies as ell as some blooms and a cute-as-can-be bumble bee!  And the fonts for the sentiments this month are DIVINE!

The details.

  • Tag-its #3 will be available for sale on April 15th.
  • It will retail for $5.
  • Tag-its #3 contains a total of 10 stamps (1 leafy circular frame, 1 bitty flower, 1 bitty flower with stem, 1 bunch of flowers, 1 bumble bee and 5 sentiments)
  • The leafy circular frame will coordinate with our Limitless Layers 1.75" Circle dies.

The second set I am sharing today is Library Ledger Year Additions.  When we released the original Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger stamp set last year, everyone was quickly clamoring for additional years to add to the set to make it even more versatile.  Heather has prepared this set for all of you so you can take your creations even farther.

The details.

  • Library Ledger Year Additions will be available for sale on April 15th.
  • It will retail for $5.
  • Library Ledger Year Additions contains a total of 36 stamps (years 1974-1999 and 2011-2020)
  • The years 2000-2010 are covered in the original set which can be found HERE.

Now, let me share a few of my creations with you that utilize these sets!

Mother Card
To begin, I have a unique Mother's Day Card that features a photo.  I stamped the bottom portion of Melon Berry cardstock with Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger lines using VersaMark ink.  The Kraft card base was stamped with flowers from Friends 'Til the End using Vintage Cream ink.

Flower closeup
I added the leafy frame from Tag-its #3 using Terracotta Tile ink.  One of the sentiments from the same set was added slightly off center using True Black ink.  The flower was die-cut from Terracotta Tile felt using the new Flower Fusion #3 die. The leaves were snipped from Simply Chartreuse felt.  All the elements were stitched into place with a button and floss.

Sentiment closeup
The month was stamped with the original Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger, with the year added from Library Ledger Year Additions.  The Mother's Day sentiment (from our Mother stamp set) was added underneath the date, using the stamped lines as a guide.

Clothespin closeup
My family photo was added and matted with white cardstock, trimming one edge with pinking shears.  A mini clothespin was added to the corner, but first I had colored it with a Terracotta Tile Copic marker to help create my third element of Terracotta Tile.

Down
I love incorporating photos into cards like this and it adds a little something special as a keepsake for the recipient.

Sunshine Card
Now for a happy card that would bring sunshine to anyone's day!

Focal closeup
I began by die-cutting white cardstock with one of our Angled Labels dies, followed by stamping the coordinating frame from Label Basics using Spring Moss ink.  The focal point was created with many elements from Tag-its #3.  The flower cluster was stamped with Aqua Mist, the bee in Summer Sunrise and the sentiment in True Black.  The "flight path" is from a new set entitled Boy Basics: Frog Hop that I'll be sharing more about later in the week.  It was stamped in Smokey Shadow.

Down
A bit of Summer Sunrise Twill was added underneath the focal point.  The bottom portion of the Aqua Mist card base was stamped with Background Basics: Twinkle using VersaMark ink.

All The Best Card
I've always loved the combination of our Library Card stamp and Library Card Pocket die, so I thought it appropriate to pull them out for a project.

Pocket closeup
The pocket was die-cut from Scarlet Jewel cardstock and assembled.  A strip of dotted paper from Pacific Vineyard collection adorns the pocket.

Library card closeup
I stamped the Library Card onto Rustic Cream cardstock using Smokey Shadow ink.  I added a leaf image from Blooming Button Bits using Ripe Avocado ink.  Scarlet Jewel buttons were stitched in place to decorate the leaf image.  The date was added with Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger, with the year coming from the new Library Ledger Year Additions set.  I added my own handwritten message to the bottom of the card.

Tag closeup
The tag was created with Tag-its #3.  The leafy frame was stamped with Vintage Cream.  The journaling lines from Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger were stamped with VersaMark.  The sentiment was then added with True Black and the single flower in Scarlet Jewel.  I stamped the large leaf image from Blooming Button Bits on a separate piece of cardstock and cut one of the smallest leaves out to add to the flower.  I needed the extra pop of Ripe Avocado to add balance to my project.

Down
The Dark Chocolate card base was stamped with Giga Guide Lines using VersaMark ink.

Bloom Card
I have one last project to share with you today.  A quick and simple card that only uses Tag-its #3.  I started by trimming the front edge of the card base with the Edgers #1 die.  I then stamped the flower cluster down the center of the card front with Fresh Snow ink.

Sentiment closeup
The leafy frame was stamped with Ripe Avocado and the sentiment in True Black.

Knots closeup
I used a few different colors of floss to create "stripes/ Each piece was brought all the way around the cover and the two ends are tied at the very edge of the card front.  I think this is a really neat effect that I will definitely be trying again!

Down
I hope you enjoyed everything I had to share with you today!  It was so fun to get the Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger set back out and work with it again!  And I just cannot say ENOUGH about Tag-its #3!  What are your first impressions of these new sets?  We would love to hear your thoughts today!  We have a fantastic prize package up for grabs!

My first thought about the new sets…AMAZING! It seems like every single month I say the same thing, but it’s true! There is no other stamp company out there that comes out w/ new releases where I just HAVE to have every set. Guess you could say I’m, well, addicted to everything PTI…hehe!

The Library pocket & card dies and coordinating stamp set has been on my ‘wishlist’ since it was first released. I was always fascinated with those library cards as a child. And now to be able to pair it with the date stamps – another childhood fascination!!!!!!! Of course I’m talking about the rotary date stampers that you’d spin it to get the month/day/year you wanted!!!!!! I’m only 27, but it seems like it’s been YEARS since anyone has used those;)
