Next up is the second addition to the popular Flower Fusion line-up by Melissa Bickford.

Flower-fusion-#2-die
This month she is bringing you a dainty two-step flower in two sizes.  You will love all of the amazing possibilities that are available and combinations that will manifest as you begin using this set in your own creations.

The details.

  • Flower Fusion #2 will be available for sale on March 15th.
  • It will retail for $5.

  • A coordinating die for the large flower in this set will be available for sale separately for $3.  The die measures 1" in diameter.

Think-Big-Favorites-#2-sample
Another popular ongoing series is our Think Big Favorites line-up.  This month we are bringing you mega-sized version of two sentiments from Star Prints.  These flourished phrases will add a stylish twist to many of your projects!

The details.

  • Think Big Favorites #2 will be available for sale on March 15th.
  • It will retail for $5.
  • Think Big Favorites #2 contains a total of 2 sentiments.  "Thank You" measures 2-3/8" wide and 3/4" tall.  "It's Your Day" measures 2-1/4" wide and 1-3/4" tall.

Turning-a-New-Leaf-dies
I have one more exciting reveal for you tonight…something that many of you have been waiting a long time for.  A die collection to coordinate with the most popular images from Turning a New Leaf stamp set.  You will love how easy it is to layer these leaves after pairing them up with the ease of die-cutting!

The details.

  • The Turning a New Leaf Die Collection will be available for sale on March 15th.
  • The set of four dies will retail for $15.
  • The Turning a New Leaf Die Collection contains a total of four dies.  Each of the dies have the following dimensions: 4" x 3-1/2" (A), 2-1/2" x 2-1/4" (B), 2" x 2-1/2" (C), 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" (D).

Now, onto the projects!

Its Your day Card
First, a bold and bright project that shows off the new flowers & dies!

Leaf dies
I used the new Turning a New Leaf dies with Simply Chartreuse cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating images from Turning a New Leaf stamp set using Versamark ink.

Focal closeup
I diecut Flower Fusion #2 blooms from Raspberry Fizz cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating outline image from the Flower Fusion #2 stamp set using Versamark as well.  Some were adhered in place with foam dimensionals and some adhered directly to the card front to create different levels of depth.

Sentiment closeup
The sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #2, was stamped in True Black ink onto the Smokey Shadow card base.

Down
Note that the leaves were adhered in such a way that they hang over the edge of the card slightly.  I love this look and look forward to trying it again soon!

Modern Thanks
Now a little something with Modern Basics!

First stamp
For the background I took an image from the set that is intended to be a modern version of a butterfly.  I stamped the outline onto my Harvest Gold card base using Summer Sunrise ink.

Building pattern
I repeated the shape, alternating positions to create a repeating pattern.

Focal closeup
For the focal point, I stamped the thanks word block with Summer Sunrise ink.  I then added the three-petaled flower image three times using Berry Sorbet ink.  I added small rhinestones to accent the corners.

Down
This card would look fabulous in a variety of colors and the simplicity of it is perfect for mass-producing.

Appreciate You Card
A little something delicate and dainty for my next project.

Step 1
I wanted to create a soft patterned strip for my project, showcasing that Modern Basics doesn't have to be bold and bright.  I stamped this leaf border using Spring Moss ink.

Step 2
I then stamped the border a second time using Sweet Blush ink, being sure to align it in the blank areas that were left behind after stamping the green.

Step 3
I love how detailed this looks, but really it was just two easy impressions!

Finshed border
I trimmed my pattern into a strip and distressed the edges a bit with Tea Dye Duo ink.

Focal closeup
For the focal point, I stamped the stem from Flower Fusion #2 with Spring Moss ink.  Then added the large bloom with Sweet Blush ink, as well as a few smaller blooms.  I stamped the small outline flower in the center of the large flower to add additional detail.

Down
The sentiment was stamped with Smokey Shadow ink.  I finished the card off with a few rhinestones.

Thanks Card
This card is extraordinarily simple in design, but I love it all the same!

Focal closeup
I stamped the large solid petal image from Modern Basics in both Summer Sunrise & Terracotta Tile ink.  I added the large outline petal to finish the quadrants.  I added a bit of paper piercing to each of the solid petals and aded a rhinestone to the center.

Interior
I carefully cut within the outline border with a craft knife and stamped the sentiment on the interior of the card.  This would make a lovely set of notecards for someone as a gift using their favorite color combination!

Duo straight
Last today, I have a simple little card duo to share with you.

Green thank you
I stamped the thank you sentiment from Think Big Favorites #2 in True Black onto a white card base.  I stamped the solid flowers from Flower Fusion #2 in Simply Chartreuse.

Green thank you down
I stamped the outline flower image over the large flowers, slightly off kilter for flair.  I used a pen to draw a frame around the edge of the card front.

Blue thank you
I used the same process here, only with Hawaiian Shores ink.

Blue thank you down
Black rhinestones were added to the centers of all the flowers.

Duo down
I hope you enjoyed all the creativity I shared with you here today!  We would love to hear your initial thoughts on everything introduced today.  Leave a comment letting us know what you think and you could have a chance to win an amazing prize package.

LOVE the ‘mod’ and somewhat retro style of Maile’s Moderns basics, especially the harvest gold & berry sorbet card (note to self – add harvest gold to your color collection with your next order…).

I just love Modern Basics – it’s completely different to every stamp set I own, and really lends itself to the clean & simple style I adore. It’s definately going into my cart ASAP, and I can’t wait to see what else Maile comes up with in future sets. Also, I’m so happy to see that wonderful Star Prints font super-sized. I was one of the many on the forums who suggested this particular sentiment for the Think Big series – thanks so much for listening us!!

Cant’ wait to try it myself! But these flower sets from Melissa are gorgeous as well! Don’t have the first one yet, but it’s been on my list, hi hi, and with this second one, I’m totally convinced! 😉 This has such lovely possibilities! And the new dies, oh, gosh, you know how to please us crafters!!! Love all reveals of today!!! Thank you so much for making these wonderful things!

Thank you so much for finally providing the Turning a New Leaf die set. This is a die set that I have been waiting for. I love the stamp set but the thought of having to hand cut those leaves scared me. Also I love the Thank You card set you did last, it is so simple but so elegant looking. Can’t wait to make some of these for gifts.

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about the newest additions to Flower Fusion and Think Big Favorites! I got both of these sets last month and I’m using the heck out of them. Think Big Favorites #1 has been used on every card I’ve made in the past 2 weeks (and that’s a lot!) I’ve always struggled with the insides of cards being so blank/empty/boring, but the Think Big line is perfect for conveying your sentiment and giving a big focal point to embellish around. Love, love, love! I think the Modern Basics set is stunning, but a bit intimidating. I love everything I’ve seen done with it, but question my ability to recreate these projects. You girls make it look so easy to line images/backgrounds up correctly. I seem to be missing that coordination gene! 🙂 I may have to give it a shot anyway!
