Welcome back for day four of Papertrey's 4th Anniversary festivities! We have had such a huge response from everyone and we are just thrilled that you all want to be a part of this!
Today's announcement is another fun one.
Totally, completely, head-over-heels fun!
You may remember the original announcement we made for a new podcast series during last year's anniversary festivities HERE. Unfortunately, just like the Make It Monday Video series, this too hinged on the arrival of the new website.
We are so thrilled with the prospect of this interaction with our customers, we have decided to move forward with our plans and rather than host it on the website, it is something that will take place here, on my blog.
Papertrey Radio will be a series of podcasts, a new one made available every other week. These podcasts will include interviews, customer questions, design team answers and all sorts of fun little tidbits!
The podcasts can be listened to directly here, or you can download the mp3 files and upload them to your iPod or mp3 player to listen to later. We will eventually also have the files available directly through iTunes.
Erin Lincoln has practically single-handedly researched, prepared and organized everything regarding the Papertrey Radio podcast series. Not to mention she's also the official host. I got to listen to the very first episode myself yesterday and I just couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. Just under 30 minutes in length, it is the perfect thing to download and listen to while you're in the car, working out, doing dishes, etc.
You will DEFINITELY want to listen in on this first episode as soon as possible because I make a very special announcement at the end of the podcast about the prize we are giving away today! Just sayin'!!!!!
I present to you the very first episode of Papertrey Radio!
(you can click the button below to listen directly to the episode here)
or you can download the mp3 file below to save it to your iPod or mp3 player
-for Mac, right click on link below, select "download linked file"
-for PC, right click on link below, select "save target as"

I know as soon as you hear the fun that takes place in this, you will be counting down the days until the next episode, like me! Erin did such a wonderful job keeping everything casual and upbeat, just like sitting down to have coffee with your favorite stamping friends!
It's super easy today, folks! Visit the database HERE, that I mentioned in the podcast, and enter your name, home address & email address to enter.
If you want to know all the details of the extra special prize we are giving away today, you'll have to listen to the podcast! Let's just say that you & a friend could possibly be hopping on a jet plane soon to do some super fun stamping!
- You must enter your name, home address & email address into our database HERE.
- Unfortunately, this contest is only open to customers living in the continental U.S.
- You and your friend must travel on the same flight together, in other words not from two different locations.
- Only one entry per person will be permitted with this database.
- You have until 7am EST, Wednesday, February 9th to enter your information into the database and have a chance to WIN!
- One randomly selected winner will be announced no later than noon EST the same day on our February 2011 Release Winners page.
AND ONE LAST THING!
We would LOVE to hear any suggestions or requests regarding what kinds of topics or interviews you would like to see in upcoming Papertrey Radio podcasts. Please be sure to leave a comment below so we can start assembling our list!
Thank you for stopping by today and good luck to everyone on the contest! And we hope to see you back on day five of this fabulous 4th Anniversary celebration! You won't want to miss out on what we have to share tomorrow!
Awesome prize!!!!!WOW! How much fun would that be!
great job with the podcast! i love the awesome opportunities these prizes are offering!
YAY! That sounds like so much fun! I think I would have more fun eating your southern style cooking than anything. 🙂 It was also very fun to hear Erin interviewing. Great job, ladies!!!
Eegads! What an AWESOME prize…I would LOVE to stamp with Nichole…who wouldn’t!?!? It was so fun to hear the podcast tonight…to hear my fellow PTI Paper Doll, to hear the various members of the DT, etc. I would love to hear the designers (especially the young mothers!) explain how they manage to make the time for all of the lovely things they create! And hey, just for kicks…let’s hear some ‘most embarrassing stamping moments’ stories!
Happy Anniversary!
What an wonderful prize. Thank you for offering this incredible opportunity.
I would love to hear an interview with Melissa Phillips on some of her shabby vintage wonderful style techniques and maybe how she tea dyes paper and ribbon. Also would love to hear Michelle Wooderson discuss the process of choosing the colors and elements so unique to her style. I enjoyed their collaboration on “The 12 days of Christmas” SO much this year and find myself going back to those blog entries over and over again for other holidays and design elements. It would be fun to hear them both tell us about the “behind the scene” experience of putting something like that together. Your team is SO VERY talented it would be great to hear from any of these ladies about their own styles and techniques. Background stamping is always a challenge for me for example. Also lastly would love to know the ins and outs of seam binding and dying it.
What a great podcast! And oooooooo the prize :D.
My mind has gone blank because all I keep thinking is OMG!!! This would be the best prize ever!!! I would like to know when you design stamp sets how the mind works on deciding what you include in the set…for example what pieces are broken down into smaller parts. Sometimes I look at a set and I think to myself…What were they thinking when they designed this set? Does it develop while you are in the design process or do you have a really good idea before you begin the process. Thanks for asking and for the Dream of a LIfetime!!! 🙂
Well done, Erin. You were upbeat, kept the podcast moving and helped put your guests at ease. Looking forward to more of these.
Everyday is getting better and better! I’ve been reading all the designer’s blog but hearing some of their voices is great! Looking forward to more.
Congrats, PTI! I enjoyed the first episode of PTI Radio immensely! For a future issue, I would love to hear about the process for creating a stamp set. From idea conception through the big reveal on release night, what is the process like? Thanks for asking your customers for feedback!
Great job, PTI! I really enjoyed your first episode. I don’t have any crafting friends, so it’s great to listen to the format of your podcast…I can sit and sip wine while you interview and share ideas. One thing I’d like to know is….how do you keep and organize all of the inspiration and card ideas that come to you. I feel absolutely overwhelmed at times as the ideas just flow and flow. Do you have suggestions on how to cap these design surges & remember all of your best ideas? Looking forward to your next podcast…thanks so much!
Great Podcast! That was so cool! Erin did a great job. I would love to go to Nichole’s for stamping time and since I live right outside Nashville, I’m a cheap date! LOL
This was a great podcast–it was great listening to the design team and everyone answer questions 🙂 I especially liked the candid nature of the conversation. A future topic I would love to hear about is how the different pieces of a stamp set come to be–while I love the inspiration cards that are created, I would love to know the original intent of the stamp designer 🙂 Aparna
LOVED the podcast!
It was so great to sit here and listen while I’m…
making a card.
Maile’s suggestions…
THANK YOU! 🙂
And Erin…you did an incredible job…can’t wait for more!
How about covering the basics?
I’m newer to PTI than most…
have only been stamping for about a year…
so my stash is not as large as most…
and with 4 kiddies…
I have to budget.
I want it all…but realistically I can’t have it all.
Not all at once anyway.
Now…before there’s any confusion…
I truly believe I’m getting a superior product with PTI…
and an INCREDIBLE value…
so that’s not the issue.
But the basics in where to start.
What colors, maybe 3-4, not including white, would you recommend that would fit any person, any occasion?
The basic accents?
And 3-5 to five sets that you feel are the ones to begin with?
That way when we see stunning cards and we don’t have every set being used…sometimes none…we can still use the inspiration being given, within those “basic” sets?
I hope that makes sense…
Congratulations on the Anniversary…
loving all the festivities!
And I would love to win this next incredible prize too…
a day to see how you make it look so incredibly simple…?
AMAZING!
Someone is going to get an incredible treat!
Looking forward to hearing more.
Loved the podcast! Lots of great chat and inspiration. Sadly i’m not eligible to enter the contest, but good luck to all of you that are…what a fabulous prize! Happy Anniversary!!!
This might be boring but I would love to know what all goes into making a stamp set. Time involved steps. I am an engineer by trade so I have this curiosity as to how things work. Not in technical terms though, I like just plain old two people talking kind of terms.
I’d like to see more stamping incorporated into scrapbooking layouts. Most of the projects center around cards, which is obvious because of the scale of the stamps. However, I want to use my stamps and dies primarily for scrapbook layouts. I would like to hear more about the thought process for doing that. Thanks!
You guys are having just too much fun!!! 🙂
Wheee..I’m so enjoying the podcast. Such a great idea. And I really like Dawn’s voice. She must have been a DJ in her previous lifetime. ^_^
Thanks for the podcast – loved it! Can’t wait to download the next one and listen to it whilst in the gym – anything to keep the mind off the tediousness of a treadmill!!! So sad that I am not able to take part in today’s contest as I live in Europe… but I wish the lucky winner a whole lot of fun on her stamping trip!!! I would love to know more about the process that goes into designing a stamp set.
Woohoo!!! Would so want to win the prize mentioned in the podcast. I’m such a Nichole fan. Too bad though I live in the Philippines. Hehe
Anyways, congratulations for your first (of the many) podcast. I’m looking forward to more of those. And happy 4th anniversary! ^_^
I liked it very much, maybe for future episodes a little bit shorter?..i would like to hear about anecdotes from conventions, shows, what it is going on with the new releases…choosing colors for making the cards, tips and techniques…and interviewing people etc…i look forward to the monday videos…thank you for all your innovative ideas
BMZ
wow.it s getting so much fun around here.So sorry i don t live in the US, the prize is awsome
Loved it! Erin keep em coming! I feel like I was chatting with girlfriends just like Erin said… (minus the chatting) I could listen all day! And the prize?! Nicole, Nicole, Nicole, that is just so like you to open your home to us! You spoil us & I love it!
lovin all your twangy american accents
This was fabulous. I loved hearing the voices, I know that is so dorky! This prize was FABULOUS!!!! I didn’t see where the stamps for a year contest was though, maybe I am not looking in the right place. I would love to know what the total number of entries for this contest ends up being. I would also LOVE to know the total entry for the year of free stamps as well. That is just me being curious though.
It’s a great life!
Terri E.
Really enjoyed the podcast. And the first video. What a great prize Nichole is offering. Happy 4th Anniversary1
Happy Anniversary PTI. How wonderfully informative this podcast was. I really enjoyed enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Erin.
Maile’s tips were very helpful. Appreciate that.
I have a question for Betsy and all the designers really. Would love to know how each designer starts. It is color, paper or stamp?
I almost have the card in mind. Birthday, get well, etc but often struggle with the image or paper first. I adore Betsy’s use of color and the pop she gives to her stamped images with it.
Also I too would love to know what sets the designers use most often. Their basic favs.
Thank you Papertrey Ink for another wonderful year of inspiration. Although you guys are bad for my budget( giggle) you help to feed a need to stamp/create.
I would love, love, screaming up and down love to come Visit Nicole and stamp with her. Whom ever wins she will be blessed by this trip and it will be a treasure to her heart. congrats to the lucky winner!

such a great job, erin! i think interviews with different people in the business would be wonderful! and who wouldn’t love a mini scrap vacation with nichole! thanks for the wonderful chance:)
Just happy with podcast. Great to listen to while crafting. Thanks.
I love podcasts – I’m excited to listen to your first episode!
Indeed Freckleface and Eleftheria have said it for me….yet again those in the U.K. Europe and Australia are barred from participating. We love PTI very much and are totally frustrated at the shipping charges. Perhaps PTI radio could address our frustration sometime. In the meantime we are certainly enjoying the fun and send Congratulations to all the team. Keep up the good work.
I love Papertrey Radio. Can’t[ wait for more….
Oh now that I have listened to the podcast I am so jealous I don’t live in the US. Ah well best of luck everyone. Enjoyed podcast I will def be a follower. Thanks again.
Oh, what a wonderful prize! I so hate being an International now! The winner will be the luckiest girl!
I enjoyed listening to the podcast very much! It is creating a nostalgic atmosphere – working in the kitchen while listening to it. I almost wanted to put on some high-heels and a petticoat! I’d love to hear from Melissa Phillips. She seems to be one of the friendliest, most thoughtful crafters out there and I’d love to get to know her better.
Enjoyed the podcast. Looking forward to more in the future.
OMG! The podcast is super duper awesome! I will be listening to every second of it on my computer since I don’t have whatever device it is that receives it. Yes, I’m still in the dark ages! LOL! I can’t wait to hear more. One thing that I liked was the talk of mistakes, nice to know we are all human.
I can’t even imagine how excited I would be to call my mom and tell her that we could go stamp with Nichole for a day! That would be just the ultimate stamping day for us. She introduced me to this obsession so it would only be her that I would want to bring with me. Thanks ladies!!!!!!
Wow!!!! What a cool prize! I love the podcast! What a great addition to PTI! Nice job ladies!
I love the podcast! Please keep doing them and it would be great if you are able to get them posted to iTunes. I’m really excited about technique videos as well. I’d of course like to hear interviews with all of the design team members, also I’m always interested in what’s going on in the industry. I can’t wait to hear an announcement that Papertrey’s new inks are going to be released! Thank you Erin for taking on this huge task, we truly appreciate it:)
Wow PTI is going all out this anniversary. Truly it is amazing that Nichole is going to open her wonderful new home up to have someone be a guest for the day. I really can’t imagine any other company doing something as personal as that. Thank you for the oppurtunity to win and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PTI!!!!!
My first thought was OMG I can’t wait to hear their voices! I read all your blogs every day & it’s like having a pen pal when you were a kid – you always wonder what they sound like!
That aside, I would love to get a lesson in coloring with Copics… or what the PTI creative process is – how much direction is given to the designers? And how do you decide which stamps get released at what time?… or how you find the latest trends.
I applaud your step into the social network and podcasting – that is a very daring but necessary step these days!
Thanks for all you do – the inspiration you provide is priceless.
I am just smitten with everything that has been introduced this week. I have not stopped daydreaming about winning all these amazing prizes. I have even imagined myself having that awkward conversation with Nicole to tell her that I am sure her southern homecooked meal is amazing, but I am an annoying vegetarian and even though I admire you to pieces, I will not eat your meat. I just can’t handle all this amazingness. As for the podcast, since I just put myself on a budget to save money for buying a house, it has been a struggle to budget my crafting need/hobby/addiction. I would love to hear about other crafter’s budgets and how they choose what they buy. Because to me, having a stock of all my adhesives in my craft room, is more important than having bread and milk in the house. I also think it would be fun to hear about what everyone does with all the cards and projects they make. Are people selling their items, giving them away, hoarding them, or whatever? And the winner of the stamps for a year had me thinking about how awesome it would be to have a stamp swap. That might certainly solve my budgeting issues. Oh boy I am rambling now, maybe I should just call in!
What a great giveaway!! How much fun would that be and the pictures our your new house are gorgeous. It would be a thrill to see it in person.
WOW!!!!! I can not believe the prize you are giving away!! How wonderful would it be!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
wow…i can’t listen this very moment (work-blah), but i am ready to download and listen as soon as i get home! so exciting!!!
Oh my goodness… this month release is simply amazing! I’d love to hear the designers how they come up with all the wonderful cards and projects!
Love to have an interview with Melissa Phillips and her vintage shabby chic style. I would also love to hear from Betsy Veldman and how she puts together colors, patterns etc. But really just hearing everyone’s voice is amazing! Gives me a better picture of the person. This is a fun addition.
Happy Anniversary! I loved listening to the podcast. How fun! What a great prize, too. I don’t have any ideas for topics at the moment. Thanks for making PTI such a wonderful happy place.
Love the new podcast. I have a few questions I would love to hear answered:
1. Have you ever thought about publishing a catalo?. I would love to purchase one to have as a handy reference. You could then have yearly supplements to update it with the new sets.
2. Is there a trick to getting the card stock out of the dyes? I often get very frustrated with this process. Loved the limitless layer die that had small holes in the scallops … that made it easy peasy to remove the card stock. Could you possibly put a small hole in all your dyes?
Hope you answer these. I’ll be listening.
Cindy
That was awesome!!! I loved all the interviews. I think Ted needs to be up next to get the male perspective.
And boy oh boy… at stamping trip to Nichole’s!! Are you kidding me? Sersously, my bags are packed!
Thanks for the chance to come and stamp with you. That would be a blast! As far as what I would like to see? I’m not sure, I enjoy all the designers so much. We all have our styles, but I like to try and do different things so I don’t get in a rut and learn new ways to challenge myself. What great fun. I am really looking forward to Mondays. Thanks again for all the chances to win and fun you have given us.
Loved the podcast! It was fun hearing the interviews, questions & answers, and the prize…wow! How fun it would be to win that.
Your talented team is amazing! Thanks for a chance to win such a great prize
Disappointing that us Canadians can’t participate.
Woo-hoo!! What prizes going on here. I am soooo a PTI fan. I had only seen a couple of your stamp sets when I went to my first CHA in Orlando. But when I left your booth the first time (I probably went 30 times, no not really, but a lot) I was totally sold out on PTI. It has now become my favorite company and I “push” PTI every chance I get. Love the die cuts to go with the stamps. Ya’ll are just getting too good and having too much fun!!
And to have a chance to receive stamps each month AND a chance to visit Nicole would be the bestest dream come true!! Love ya’ll…
The podcast was wonderful! I really enjoyed listening to it this morning while working on my challenge for Make it Monday. 🙂 I am looking forward to future episodes. I would love to hear from different DT members about what their favorite technique or style element is to add to a card or project!
I can’t tell you how perfect this getaway prize would be. I know just who I would bring with me – a special stamping friend who I would love to thank for helping me through a difficult time. The podcast was great – I would like to hear an interview with Melissa Phillips. She has such a sweet spirit. Thanks for this opportunity!
Oh my, there are no words. I just love it! And the prize is amazing.
I had fun eavesdropping on the podcast this morning! Thanks for offering up so a terrific prize too. Happy anniversary and many more…
That was a fabulous podcast! I enjoyed listening to it with my coffee and curled up in my chair – just so enlightening!! Thank you!
I have to admit, when I first heard about Papertrey Radio I wasn’t sure it was for me. But I am so glad I took the time to listen! I don’t have any stamping friends to chat with, and I’m sure my hubby gets a little bored with it, so it was a lot of fun to listen in on the discussion. I love the casual feel of the show, and I’d love to hear more interviews with PTI designers about their start-to-finish creative process. Looking forward to more episodes!
Awesome podcast, Erin-you are the perfect hostess! Thanks for answering my question Maile-especially loved the idea of cutting out the image! Nichole, I can’t believe you’re offering such an amazing prize. Truly the best part is the gift of your time sharing your stamping talents and secrets, not to mention hosting dinner!! I’d love, love, love to win:)
Hmmmm….. rather useless for me as I am deaf. Oh well…
Oh forgot to add what subjects I would like to hear on the podcast. 1.) How do the designers come up with card ideas? Do they look through magazines, other publications or do ideas just swirl through your heads all the time? 2.)Do you show your creations to your family and friends for feedback before posting them? 3.) Do you set aside specific time for creating or just seize the moment when you can? 4.) Patterned paper is a huge obstacle for me-how do you decide what to use and how much to use?
What a marvelous prize!!! I’m so happy that PTI is involving us, the customers, in such a BIG way, in these Anniversary celebrations and new programs. It means a lot to me personally, and I’m sure many of your customers are feeling the same way. Well done PTI 🙂
What an exciting prize !! I had no trouble entering in the database and I put the podcast on my iPhone when I got up and just listened to it… I just love this! Being able to listen to it anytime I want makes it so convenient! I can’t think of any ways to make it better…. you ladies are so brilliant and on top of things and seems to know what I want before I do. 🙂
Loved the podcast, very informative and enjoyable. Would love to win the prize, stamps for a year. Have to go find out how to enter
Papertrey Radio– What an original idea! And so well done– Erin is a nice, comfortable interviewer who asks good questions. I’d love to hear more tips and insights from the DT. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to wonderful Papertrey Ink!
Wow, the podcast was so enjoyable to hear. Nice tips and ideas. Things are very exciting. I would like to hear what the designers do while stamping/creating…loud music, no noise, drink, stand, sit, what is always out….that type of idea. Would love the year of stamp products, hubby couldn’t complain about that!
Happy Anniversary to my favorite company! I looooved your podcast! Loved! I felt like I was sitting there with you all and content was very useful! Great job!
wow! wow! Double the fun! I enjoyed the radio podcast and Happy 4th Anniversary. Looking forward to more!
WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! I can’t believe it!! I got to meet Nichole at CHA and that was a total honor and now this kind of giveaway!! I don’t know of another company that is so great to their customers. Holy Moly!! I would die to do this!! I just can’t believe it, I am awe struck sitting in my chair. I would love to see more scrapbooking with the stamps. I love to scrapbook and School Time helped me out super much when I was making my kids school scrapbooks.
I don’t own an MP3 player, so thank you for making this available on the blog. I’m a visual person – I like reading vs. listening – so I wasn’t sure I would like this format. I have to say it was really fun to hear the spoken voice that belongs to people we read about via blog. Erin, your hosting was lively and the transitions were smooth – you did a great job.
For future episodes, it would be nice to have a rewind or fast forward feature online, similar to a video clip, and it would also be nice to see how much time is remaining. I’m not even sure if that is possible (obviously someone that doesn’t own an ipod is technically challenged). Also, it would be great if you could feature a different designer or design team member each episode. Thanks again for this fun addition to PTI.
ERIN! You did an incredible job as hostess, as did all of your special guests! And the prize today…just Holy WOW! How much fun that would be! Thanks, Nichole!
Okay, my podcast idea may be silly. I actually wasn’t going to ask, but then Erin mentioned talking about stamping with her husband at the dinner table, so I gained courage! I watched a little video on Erin’s blog of her husband discussing baby items, and it was SO FUNNY! So I would love to hear a little interview with Mr. Lincoln and his thoughts about stamping, products, etc. Sort of like a “Confessions of a Stamping Husband”…his take on this crazy little addiction!
That was cool! It is interseting to hear your voices after reading you blogs for so long. Great prize by the way. I was wondering if you had ideas for using stamps that are sometimes forgoten. We get so excited when new stamps come out and we buy them. Then the next month we do it again, and again, and again. Which is great for business but we, as stampers, seem to forget about the ones that are a month or so old. Now from time to time you do revisit a set but do you have other ideas?? Thanks so much!
Erin is SO cute and funny! I love her wit!
Maille’s voice is as sweet as I imagined it would be!
Love Dawn! So glad she answered one of the questions!
I like that PTI is progressive and I respect the desire to keep customers fully saturated in the process/product/with the designers, but I don’t understand how a radio program will enhance a hobby that is so visual. Of course I hope the segment does well and I’m glad I listened to this orginal program, but I don’t think it is something I would tune into on a regular basis.
Hearing Erin, Nichole, Maile, Dawn, Dana, Kathy, and Leann in my craft room was like having friends visit! What a great way to start my day. I look forward to future radio visitors.
And to PTI, for always working so hard to make all our dreams come true…I am sitting here imagining what it would be like to be in that beautiful studio and be crafting and chatting with Nichole…WOW!
Good luck to all who are able to enter the contest. I guess I have to leave Canada and move to the US so I can get in on these types of opportunities.
Loved, loved, LOVED the podcast! I have an hour commute each way to work & this just made my morning! If you could make the podcast a bit longer… I’d love it even more! 😉 It makes the time pass so quickly & these things are great to listen to while cleaning or crafting at home too.
Is all of this for real? Hard to believe! 🙂 I haven’t had time to listen to the podcast yet (I have an 11-month old that has just learned how far he can get by rolling and crawling, but I’m going to download it, because it’s perfect for chores around the house or even stamping!
I LOVE the podcast. I don’t have friends who are addicted to stamping like I am so it is so nice to hear other people talking about how much they love it. I did not want it to end!! Thank you all so much for all the time you put into making such wonderful products. PTI just keeps getting better and better!
Looking forward to more!
Fabulous podcast~great job Erin! Can’t believe the P-R-I-Z-E! How awesome it would be to just meet Nicole, let alone be in her Craft Room at her home actually creating cards! :o)
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Papertrey! I just finished listening to the first podcast and I enjoyed it thoroughly! I think it’s a great idea…stampers are always interested in other stampers: their ideas, motivations, and inspirations. I think you accomplished your goal of sounding like friends chatting about one of their favorite subjects and I enjoyed listening in. I also liked the phone ringing with the questions…reminds me of old fashioned radio!
I’m amazed at your prize offerings, and had great fun imagining how fantastic it would be to have a year of Papertrey stamps! Wow…!
Wishing you continued success, and I look forward to staying tuned as you enjoy your next year!
That’s a doozy of a prize! How lucky two stampers will be!!!
I love being able to hear the voices of the PTI team members – makes it a so much more personal experience as I go around to their blogs and read what they write and see their creations. It just adds an extra dimension in getting to know their style and personality. I agree about basics questions. I’m a fairly new beginner as well, still learning and trying to find my style, and I’ve only been purchasing PTI products for a few months, so I’m building my collection still and sometimes feel stuck because I don’t know all the tricks and techniques. Anyway. I love the Q&A! So helpful and fun. Thanks again! 😉
What incredible fun to listen to the podcast. Erin – you did a great job at putting your guests at ease. I loved hearing Nichole talk about the card David made for her. That brought a tear to my eye. Nichole – what an extremely generous prize you are offering, opening up your lovely new home and the gift of your time. Holy moly!!! Many thanks to the entire Papertrey family for just being the best in the business.
Love the podcast….love it!! Great job ladies, I can’t wait to hear more. I too would like to know what all goes in to designing a stamp set…I think it would be such a cool process. It would also be neat if you did a 1:1 “interview” with some of the design team members…I feel like I “know” so many of them from reading blogs, but voice adds a whole new level to that! I’d also love to hear your thoughts on the trends in paper crafting right now…things you love and will stand the test of time, and things you think are trendy just for now.
Enjoyed the podcast so much! Found Dawn’s info very interesting–I’ve always wondered how the planning/designing process takes place. This will be a fun new feature!
Loved listening to the podcast this morning. It was really nice listening to everyone and putting a voice to the person. I had my coffee and listened and it was almost like I was there. Since you already share so many wonderful ideas, techniques and products here, I would like to hear from Nicole and the design team about their favorite products, how they became a DT member, the process of getting their stamps released. All the fun stuff. Happy Anniversary PTI!
This podcast was really cool. Totally loved it and Erin did a great job. I would love to hear about the process of creating a stamp set. Starting from where do the ideas come from, to designing the images, to manufacturing them. I always wonder how this process works and do you draw the images on the computer or freehand them. Or do you send your ideas off to someone and they create the final images. Keep up the great work!!!
What fun that would be!!!! I’d be a cheap date too…no need for airfare. I’m close enough to Nashville that I could drive. 🙂 A total dream getaway!!
As for podcast ideas, I’d love to hear from Nichole and other DT members about how long it takes them to prepare their projects for each month’s countdown. So many of the projects are so elaborate that it would take me FOREVER to so perfectly execute such gorgeousness!! Also, I’d love to know how long it takes to bring a stamp set to market, from initial ideas and sketches to final production.
Love the podcast! Can’t wait to hear the next one!!!!!
Loved the podcast! I listened while cleaning the kitchen, needless to say I got a lot of cleaning done because it was so entertaining!!
I say this every year, but every day gets better and better during the anniversary celebration. Like your designs, I’m always amazed at the creativity in new products, prizes, and ideas! Truly incredible. Loved the first podcast, and will be looking forward to them every two weeks. I’d love to hear an interview with each of the design team members and stamp designers about their creative process, favorite techniques . . . Thanks for providing so much inspiration all year long!
What a fun pod cast!! I’d love to hear about what happen behind the scenes. like the process from coming up with the idea to making it to the releases. Thank you so much for such awesome opportunity!!
I would like to know what it takes to make a stamp set… what is the process? Probably not very exciting for most, but really would like to know how you anticipate the upcoming trends, because sometimes it seems like everyone is on the same page at the same time and it feels like it is all the same type of designs hitting the market at the same time and i wonder how that happens?
Loved the pod cast. I think it would be fun to interview Ted. I know he certainly would be fun to hear his crafting secrets and hear more of his crafting jokes…:)
great job with the podcast, love that you can call and ask questions
I would love to win this prize – imagine going to Nichole’s new home and stamping! YIKES! So exciting!
I loved the pod cast – Congratulations!
Being a beginner stamper like Renee L. I too would love to hear more about how to achieve the perfect set up to start creating beautiful projects like the design team does. I would also love to hear about the process of how a stamp set is created! Last thing would be a design team “tips and tricks” on a technique they enjoy.
How fun to listen in on your Radio show! Erin has done a great job…what an amazing prize I used to live in Hendersonville! Also, how awesome to be like Patty and win sets for a year! You ladies are AMAZING!!!
Holy shmoley, that would be a fabulous prize. And and homemade food too! In your new fabulous studio and beautiful home! How amazig!
That was so special of your husband Nicole! What a sweetheart!
The podcasts are off to an amazing start, looking forward to next week!
Happy 4th Anniversary! Thanks for sharing our special event with all of us!
I can’t even begin to tell you what a day of inspiration, and learning from Nichole would mean to me. I am always feeling like I hit a brick wall when trying to create cards, or other art work, and become so frustrated that I end up with incomplete projects lying around my craftroom.
I would enjoy if when doing video tutorials, it could be explained how the designer has decided where to place images, ribbon, embellishments, etc. in respect to the balance of final piece of art.
Thanks Nichole, and everyone at PTI for all your dedication, and creative imaginations.
Great first podcast! The prize sounds amazing! Hope I win!
Can’t wait to hear more podcasts! 🙂
Loved the podcast and my jaw dropped to the floor when I heard the prize details!!!
great podcast! luvn everything about your anniversary activities, but bummed that I couldn’t participate in this one . . . I’m all the way over in Hawai`i! I suppose I’m not part of the US Continental . . . well, look forward to many more fun festivities to come!
Happpy Anniversary to PTI. Your podcast was very informative. I especially like the questions and answers session. Iam looking forward to the next one.
It was so fun to listen to the podcast this morning. Always fun to connect someone’s voice with their face… It was informative and delightful. Erin, congrats on pulling off such a great 1st PTI radio. Everyone did a great job. I will be looking forward to more to come. I adore PTI and have an addiction like so many. The quality and superior design always bring so much satisfaction as I work with these stamps. I usually give all my cards away and it gives me great joy as people get excited when they see PTI images for the first time. Putting ink to paper wouldn’t be the same, or as much fun without these images! The anniversary celebration has been fun. Congrats to all on your hard work and dedication. Nichole, you are incredibly generous and it will be TWO BLESSED PEOPLE who win time to spend with you. What an amazing gift. Thanks.
Can I just say I loved the podcast? I mean, seriously. I thought the format and length were just perfect. And today’s prize package? Beyond belief good!! I live in busy NYC and a chance to get away to the country air of Cedar Ridge would be great, even if there was no stamping involved. But, add in meeting and stamping with Nichole and the trip gets even better. For future podcasts, I’d like hear how Heather developed her style and her design process. I’d also like to know how Erin comes up with her fantastic designs. Thanks, and happy anniversary!
Oh what an amazing prize!
I loved listening to your podcast!! Looking forward to more! This is a wonderful prize!!Who wouldn’t want to spend the day crafting with Nichole in her own craft room!! Thanks for the chance to win. I have never been to Nashville and have been wanting to go.
love the podcast..whow how inventive are you guys at Papertry
Loved the podcast! Thanks Erin and Nicole!!
Loved the podcast! So fun to put voices with the photos and talent!
I’m having way too much fun participating in my first Anniversary Celebration!
I loved this podcast as well. PTI became even more personal to me, while I listened. I would like to have a podcast with the top ten for dummies design elements for a great card/project. I do not have any graphic design experience, but I would love to have a mini tutorial on the basics, as I am sure I would learn a lot of stuff that I could use for many projects.
thanks.
Wow, what an awesome prize!! I’d love to hear about the design process for the stamp sets. I also think it would be interesting to hear how trends are studied; where you get clues for the next greatest colors or images.
Loved the podcast! Just wish I lived in the US! 🙁
I am a Podcast junkie, so I can hardly contain my excitement at adding Papertrey to my weekly “listens.”
Topics of interest include:
– design elements – each DT member has a signature style, so I’d like to hear discussions about the elements each uses when creating
– organization – all the bits and pieces to keep us creating (For example, I used to keep a scrap box. Now I keep my paper in the plastic wrap and slide the scraps in. I really used every bit this way.)
– ideas for sending cards. Inspirations I guess.
– ideas for using stamps for items other than cards.
Can’t wait to hear even more.
I really enjoyed the podcast and can’t wait to hear more of them. I enjoyed every part of the podcast. I would be interested in how all the design team honed their fabulous skills. What do they recommend for other stampers to do to become better cardmakers and project creators? I can’t wait for the next podcast.
Congratulations, PTI! I enjoyed the first episode of PTI Radio immensely! Erin, you did a wonderful job. I’d like to see more stamping incorporated into scrap booking layouts. What a terrific prize. This would be a wonderful experience. I love Nashville too.
What a wonderful first pod cast. It was well worth my time. I can’t wait for the next one. Where do you get your inspiration from when you just aren’t feeling creative? (Sorry for such a familiar question.)
I enjoyed the first podcast. I tried to download the mp3 to load in my ipod, without success. Maybe you could add some directions with your pod casts to accomplish this; like system specs, procedure, what screens should pop up, etc.
sooo cool! the podcast was so fun to listen to. and the PRIZE wow! how fun and gnerous of you! Love what you are doing and love what PTI is!
What a fun podcast!! I really enjoyed listening to it while relaxing and stamping a birthday card. I would love to hear about the design process and where Nicole and the other designers get their ideas. Thanks so much for everything. I look forward to more fun podcasts!!
xoxo,
Christine
Congratulations PTI! I would like to know how the designers place the stamped images so perfectly on the matching die cut. Is there some hint or trick you can give us. Mine seem to be “off” a little bit each time. Help!!!
Hi girls,
It was a great podcast and it was nice to put a voice to the name!
I would be interested in finding out where the stamp designers get their inspiration from as well as how do you keep your stuff (papers, drawings and ideas) organized.
Hugs and best wishes for many more years!
I love PTI! You guys rock. I seriously live for the releases and can’t wait to see the newest projects made by Nichole.
What a great prize! I love the radio idea & the first podcast was great. Can’t wait to hear more!
Loved the podcast…would LOVE to win this prize and be able to meet and stamp with Nichole..what a dream come true. I am a huge Dawn fan and would love to hear more from her. Congratulations on your anniversary from one of your biggest fans!
Very informative and enjoyable. You certainly are on the creative edge way above competitors. What a give away. AWESOME!!!!
WOW, What a great prize, I loved the podcast. I would also love to hear how the designer got started. That would be nice. What gets their creative juices flowing? :). How they come with the great ideas we see on the stamps.?
Thanks
Your podcast was AWESOME !!! Loved the forum – questions and answers, interviews.
You did an amazing job. And the prize is the icing on the cake!!!
This is so cool, seriously, I have goose bumps just thinking about what it would be like to win this incredible prize!!! Is it wrong to keep my fingers cross and pray it’s me that wins. :o)
The podcast was pretty cool. Good to be able to put the voices with some of the names/faces we are already familiar with. Thanks Erin and Nicole, you did a great job!
Just wanted to wish the other girls ‘Good Luck’. I’m in Ireland so excluded but enjoy your dream trip!
Love the PTI radio, I have a few favs that I hope to hear speaking. Hearing everybody is an unexpected bonus!
Incredible anniversary celebration ladies! What a fantastic prize opportunity. Wow! Erin, I loved your podcast, very entertaining. You have such an easy voice to listen to and I hear the love you have for what you do. Super job. It’s fun to hear the designers’ voices and their hints/tips. Outstanding job, PTI – you never cease to amaze me with the quality of your designs, products, marketing and especially for always thinking of your customers. Very impressive. Thanks for the chance to win this fabulous trip!
Loved the podcast!!! I will have to think about what I would like on a future podcast though, but will let you know….
Listening now….you ladies just never cease to amaze me!
Thank you for allyour hard work every single one of you! You are an inspiration to me!
Just hear the podcast…. love it. Thanks and I look forward to many more.
Loved the Papertrey Radio! What an outstanding prize! I listened while on a 30 minute commute….I don’t think that I have ever enjoyed the drive as much as I did today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the different ways to enjoy Papertrey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that radio podcast was great!! better than I expected…but why? You have never let me down before? It was fun! And here I have had your name wrong, it’s not Heady with a long e sound but, Heady, like your head. haha. Just a little thing, but it all helps.
I would love to know when the Designers have a particular “style”, how do they not venture out into another style? Don’t they get bored in their “style”? I ask that because I have a style but I always try to emulate someone elses style. I am actually envious of them for knowing their style and working within it instead of jumping all over and not being content, like me.
I am soooo looking forward to more of these podcasts and making it Monday’s.
I am enjoying this anniversary celebration and I would love to take my mom on this trip with me if I win. We would have a blast and it would be a memory of a lifetime. We both love Nichole. Thanks for the chance.
Congrats on the podcast! I would love to hear more about the designer’s creative process!
So thrilled I lived in the good old USA so I have a chance to win this awesome getaway and meet Nicole in person. She wouldn’t even have to feed me as I’d be all over the stamping session hopefully learning how she does such beautiful creations. Congratulations on your 4th Anniversary! I am really a newbie as only have one stamp set so far and am very impressed with that. Agree with other comments/ suggestions as to how the entire process works from a designer’s idea through to fruition and also how did PTI decide their product color choices (Ripe Avocado, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, etc.)? Another topic for discussion might be some seasoned PTI stampers sharing their recommendations based on usage as to which products should be at the top of our long wish lists. Great podcast ~ thanks a million!
I love this idea for Papertrey radio! I would
love to have some discussions about the creative process (maybe even a panel of design team members) and also how people find time,on a regular basis, to create with the busy lives most of us lead.
I LOVE THIS ANNIVERSARY give away!!!!!!! Love the podcast because like you Erin, my husband can only take SO MUCH stamping/crafting talk. All you girls would be such great girlfriends to have in real life!! Thanks so much for sharing so much of you with all of us!
Amy
Congratulations on a great podcast! Looking forward to the next.
Thanks for all the resources you provide.
Seriously!
My goodness, how does one actually cross more than their fingers? I think I am going to wear braids all week, will that help?
R
Great podcast ladies! I can’t wait for future presentations. And what a prize package Nichole! I’m a veteran stamper and have the perfect friend to share this with. She just started and is absolutely in love with it, so getting the opportunity to spend a day with you would be HUGE for she and I both. And seeing your beautiful new home would be the icing on the cake
Loved the podcast! Fabulous job, Erin, Nichole & all–hearing your voices was SO much fun! I adored last year’s anniversary celebration with all the contests & prizes but this year’s managed to top it with all the wonderful customer involvement. For future podcasts, I agree with many others about wanting to hear more about the design processes, whether designing a new set or just making a card. Being part of the PTI Peeps has enriched my life so much and I look forward to all the exciting new activities and new friendships.
The podcast was fun! (Sorry to say that I was skeptical… but now I’m asking myself, why would I doubt the PTI girls?) And the prize is so fabulous! I’m already formulating my discussion with my husband to convince him to let me fly to my friend’s house so we can fly together to your house… guess I should win first, but it is oh-so-fun to dream!
WOW! I just can’t think of anything I would enjoy more than the chance to see Nichole”s beautiful home and spending time crafting with her. My best friend and I love PTI and this fourth anniversary is knocking our socks off!
I am curious if any of the PTI gals have other crafts that they love as much as stamping. And how do they come up with all their brilliant card ideas when the mojo is lacking. And I too would like to hear about how an idea becomes a stamp set, from beginning to end.
The podcast was great…Erin you did a super job!!
What an AMAZING prize! Oh, how I would love to stamp with Nichole and see her amazing studio in person! I loved the podcast and can’t wait for the next one. I would love to hear from Michelle Wooderaon and Melissa Phillips!
Have to admit that I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the 1st episode of Papertrey Radio was delightful! Erin you have such a lovely voice and really put those you were talking with at ease. I’m looking forward to hearing more, especially the Q&A with the different designers. Thanks again for a really fun week PTI!!!
I Love, love, love the contest and the prize…oh my!!!!
I also love the podcast. I am looking forward to the next one. I’d love to hear about tips and tricks with adhesives…what to use when, how to clean up mistakes, etc.
Thanks for sharing this great new feature!
I would like to know how each of the designers started out and what project got them noticed. This anniversary is truly amazing, thanks Nichole and everyone from Papertrey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The podcast was supercalifragalisticexpialadocious. I probably don’t have it spell right but it was super. Does Erin have a background in broadcasting? She sounds so professional. If I won this prize I think I would collapse with joy but it would thrill me to death to bring my daughter. She is the one who got me into this addiction. Love her for it.
Unfortunately, your deaf and hard of hearing customers cannot listen to the podcast unless you provide captioning. Could it be something you consider in the future?
Really good radio broadcast, it was fun to hear a voice behind the name we’ve all grown to know. You must be bursting with pride on the success of your business. I’m impressed with all of the following you have outside of the USA, wow!
Great Podcast, but for some reason mine ended at a little over 25 minutes so I only heard some of it and missed the end. I am going to try again and hope that the whole thing plays this time so I get to hear the prize. I am sure it is amazing!!
I LOVED Erin’s podcast. It was so much fun and just like she said, like having a chat with a good girlfriend! I just hope for more of the same and maybe some favorite tips from designers – an interview with each with special tips and ideas. This is a lovely prize. I sure would love to win. If I do, I plan to rub Nichole’s head and maybe some of her talent will rub off on me!!!
Great podcast and what a fabulous prize. Loved hearing the winner from last years anniversary. Christmas every day. Happy 4th Anniversary!
The podcast is excellent. More reasons to visit this blog – can it get any better than this?
Wow, what a prize to win. How very kind of you and a great pod cast.
Loved the podcast…I am a podcast addict…what I listen to while scrapping and commuting…anyway to get on iTunes? (I have no idea how all the technical stuff works, just know I plug in and it is automatic…so that would be AWESOME!)
Can’t wait to hear what’s next. I agree with previous comment about more scrapbooking/stamping!
Fun podcast, and awesome prize!
Loved the podcast – can’t wait for more. And the prize~~~~~~~OMG, it would be so awesome to stamp with Nicole (although it would also be intimidating at the same time) ;}
What a great episode! I look forward to many more. I would like to know how the designers get a design started, do they have a design process? What a great prize, my daughter would be my stampin buddy I would bring. She is as adicted as I am 🙂 Thanks
That was so much better than I expected! Great job, Erin! Can’t wait to hear more.
I LOVE the podcast, anniversary celebration activities (they are always wonderful), and your fabulous products. I feel all of this brings us closer together. Thank you for ALL that you do for us, the customer’s. Kudos to all.
Ok, I wasn’t sure I was going to like the whole podcast thing. My kids are loud, Dora’s on all morning, etc. I LOVED it! The catchy music had me dancing around my kitchen – no small task with a 3yr old having his first stomach bug! Erin feels like a friend now and I loved all the interviews and calls! Awesomeness!!! Can’t wait for the next one!
The podcast was super fun! Well done, Erin! I’d love to hear about the process of creating a stamp set. I love it when you guys share the pencil sketches. But where does it from there?
And thank you for the amazing giveaways!
Fabulous prize & fun podcast! Look forward to more.
How fun, Erin and Nichole, Maile and Dawn! Thank you!
I’d love to see interviews with each of the design team. What is a normal “work” day for them? For example, with Debbie, I know you’re cutting back on PTI but how have you juggled Spellbinders, Copics, Cosmo Cricket, Just Rite and so on along with PTI?! Just LOVE your work!
How does one train themselves in the art of designing stamps? It’s occurred with several DT members and I’m curious as to how they do it!
Being new to the whole PTI product line, I would love to get some advice as to WHERE TO START!!! I came across Michelle Wooderson’s blog and then clicked on the other design team’s links and have enjoyed their creativity and quite frankly, I don’t know where to start! How about a list of what the design team’s favorite or most used stamps/dies are? I know, that’s a hard one! Congrats on your 4th anniversary!
It’s great to have a voice go with the faces! I will definitely be listening to the future podcasts.
Oh how I wish I could listen to this!!!! Right now I’m on dial up which is SLOW!!!! I’ve seen in the comments that it has something to do with visiting Nichole…. so I’m most definitely game!!!
Thanks for sharing & congrats on PTI Radio (that I hopefully get to listen to soon)!!!
~Ola
Great podcast. Very easy listening and I’m looking forward to hearing more.
LOVED the podcast…Great listening at midnight while making brownies with b-day toppers for school!!
Keep trying to enter the contest but getting an error…hope I can get in!
OMG!! Stacey and I would LOVE this. How fun would it be!!! Goodness! This year is our 10 year friend-aversary! LOL! She was the first friend I met when I moved here. How awesome it would be! Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing prize!
wow it’s times like this i wish i lived in the USA how much fun would that be. good luck to all the participants.
I really enjoyed the podcast! I’m so glad you were able to “launch” it for us! I enjoyed the questions. Boy, don’t we all make a mess sometimes! I have been told that some of those bobbles are “Your Signature”! How wonderful to hear from the winner of all the stamp sets of 2010. I loved her idea of sharing! I would do the same! Lastly, Nicole, I will always long for a homemade card from my husband! Happy Anniversary Papertrey Ink!
Fabulous prize! It would be great to have in depth interviews with each of the designers to learn more about them and how they come up with fresh ideas.
Interesting podcast! Keep up the good work!
Well, I would certainly love to have a collection of colors from PTI! I just purchased my first colors after Christmas, and I love them! Especially Ocean Tides ~ what a fabulous color! I think it’s my all time favorite cardstock color. I hope to try more this year, who knows, I may win..! 🙂
I really need to see you all in person….coming to Chicago is very tempting. I am so glad I stumbled upon your website a few years ago. You have inspired me beyond belief and I just love everything you do and all the products you think up! Yeah, Papertrey
Happy Birthday! Love all your wonderful colors, but I seem to gravitate to the Aqua Mist and Ripe Avocado for some reason, I guess because they’re both calming and cool. Your new features will be a fun way to find new ways to use all your products.
Wow! some really great things you have going here! I enjoyed the podcast and the other things you have to offer. Such inspiration! Thanks
Guess I better get with the new age of technology! I don’t wanna miss out! 🙂
Cheers~
Q!
I can’t wait to hear more!!!! Love it!!!
Wow!!! What an awesome prize!!! Too bad I’m not in the USA at the moment!!!
I’m not big on podcasts, but I totally loved yours! I will definitely be back to hear the next ones!
All I am New, I have been looking around this board for about a few hours as a guest. I found it extremely and it has helped out allot. I hope to hang around for abit and contribute.
HI!YOUR WRITE-UP IS VERY INSTRUCTIVE AND I ACTUALLY LIKE THE CONTENT EXACTLY WHERE IN EACH DETAIL IS VERY USEFUL!!!
