Alli Miles has created a masterpiece once again with her final seasonal addition for the Take Three Series. Take Three: Winter features graceful flourishes and swirly snowflakes that will leave you itching to get inky. The opportunities fro adding shimmer and sparkle are amazing, perfect for holiday cards, winter birthdays & thank you's and so much more! You can see what Alli has already created this week with her new set HERE, HERE and HERE.
To help you use this new Take Three set as well as the other that have been previously released, Alli has designed a new die that will truly take the sets to the next level. It is a single die that cuts three rounded squares all at once. It can be used to cut three openings in your card cover or turn a piece of cardstock into a versatile frame. The openings are large enough that you can stamp any of the Take Three square images through the opening. This also means that the rounded squares leftover from the openings are the perfect size to stamp the Take Three square images ONTO. This affords you the ability to cut three squares at once if you are creating three focal points on your card. I will go into more visual detail about this new die below!
The details.
- Take Three: Winter will be available for sale on November 15th.
- It will retail for $15.
- Take Three: Winter contains a total of 13 stamps (3 flourished squares, 3 snowflake squares and 7 sentiments)
- A coordinating Take Three die will be available for sale separately for $6. It is a single die that cuts three squares at once, which can be used to make window openings, frames, or use the actual squares as a stamping surface for the block images individually.
I also have a little special surprise for you today that you perhaps weren't expecting… how about a die collection to coordinate with In Bloom? We have received hundred and hundreds of requests for this product and we are so thrilled to be able to provide it to you this month!
The details.
- The In Bloom Die Collection will be available for sale on November 15th.
- The set of two dies will retail for $14.
- The In Bloom Die Collection features one die with all 4 bloom shapes on it and a second die with all 3 leaf shapes on it.
Now, onto the projects!
This first project is one of my favorites that I created with this set. I have a thing for Simply Chartreuse and Vintage Cream together lately!
I started by using the Take Three Die to cut three Vintage Cream rounded squares. I was then able to just stamp the three different flourished images from the Take Three: Winter set perfectly in place with no trimming!
I cut a fourth square and added a sentiment and some dotted accent lines using Faux Ribbon. All four of the squares were adhered in place with foam dimensionals.
The background was created with one of my favorites, Moroccan Motifs Impression Plate.
This next card shows how you can use the Take Three Die to create a frame for your Take Three images.
I cut a piece of Blueberry Sky cardstock to size and die-cut the opening with the take Three die. If you want to ensure precision, you can use a bit removable tape to hold the die in place.
I cut a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock the same size and placed it underneath the Blueberry Sky, allowing me to stamp right through the openings with the snowflake blocks using Fresh Snow ink.
To finish my project, I adhered the whole front cover with foam tape to raise it above the Enchanted Evening layer. I also added rhinestones to the snowflakes for a bit of sparkle.
The sentiment I used is from one of the new Signature Series sets that is being released this month. I'll be sharing more about those later in the week! I tied a bit of Enchanted Evening Baker's Twine around the sentiment strip and finished it with a bow.
The finished project is fun and festive!
Now, a little black and white number for you pairing Take Three: Winter and the new In Bloom dies.
I stamped one of the flourish blocks from Take Three: Winter onto a piece of white cardstock that was die-cut with the Fillable Frames #7 released a few months ago. I added the "enjoy" sentiment from Fillable Frames #10.
I used the new In Bloom floral die to cut Stamper's Select White cardstock and then stamped the shapes with the coordinating images using black ink. SO much easier than cutting by hand!
I layered the die-cut flowers behind the sentiment block along with a bit of True Black grosgrain ribbon and a True Black button.
I used Damask Designs in True Black ink on the Smokey Shadow card base to create a pretty background that complemented the flourishes from Take Three: Winter.
this next card uses the Take Three Die to create windows in a card front.
I placed the card base, flat, in my die machine and ran it through with the Take Three Die. I love the resulting windows.
I then added a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock to the interior, followed by some snowflake accents.
I die-cut the squares from a separate scrap of Vintage Cream cardstock first, then stamped two of them with the snowflake images using Pure Poppy ink. To adhere them, I shut the cover and placed them through the cover openings onto the interior. That way they are perfectly lined up. The sentiemnt is stamped straight through the center window.
It's a simple card, but one that can be recreated in any color with any of the Take Three images to suit any occasion!

Oh my–so so so awesome! That die is not only great for the stamp set but all of the window cards I could make with it–wow, fabulous, woo hoo! I love how you show different orientations with the die, too. Sometimes I forget to turn something 90 degrees and what a difference that can make. My favorite card – the black damask card. PTI rocks!

I my gosh! I love the new dies. I don’t have any of the take three sets yet, but this one is my favorite. I love having a die to cut the windows! No more bad cut jobs using a ruler and craft knife. I also love, love, love, the black and white card.

WOW, this preview is fantastic !! I absolutely LOVE the coordinating Dies for all projects. Especially for die blooms, they are so hard to cut out.
This season’s version of Take Three is my favorite because I love flourishes! The three-in-one die is perfect for window openings and cutting out the little squares. I was fearful the die would be a single and couldn’t figure out why that would be helpful. But, as always, PTI has gone over the top and thought of everything!

What a fabulous addition to the Take Three series – oh my goodness those snowflakes are beautiful! And the die will encourage me to take out my other TT sets – how pretty will a set of notecards for each season be as a Christmas gift.

Your collection of dies just keep blowing me away. Love how tools like the In Bloom dies help us to get more use out of stamps we already own. And the “Take 3” line is such an inspirational collection – made even more versatile by the brilliant die (I can’t tell you how long I’ve spent with rulers trying to get evenly spaced windows in a card, can’t wait to try out this die!).
I love the new dies…however, several of us are still waiting for dies for the Friends to the End stamp set. Hint…hint… 🙂
EEEEK, I haven’t been pused to a need feeling with these sets before, but this die really makes me happy. I can’t wait to pop that into my cart.

I’ll be honest–when I first saw the die that cuts the three rounded squares I thought to myself, “Okay, I don’t need that one. I can continue cutting the squares by hand.” But then I saw what you did with it, and it’s on the list–the evergrowing one. Loving this release!

I love the Take Threes. They make a simple layout much more than a simple card. The dies are a great addition, especially In Bloom (so much faster than fussy cutting). I like how the Take Three die is laid out so you could do windows or not. The black and white card is jaw dropping!

With much anticipation, I clicked on the blog this morning. The debut of the “Take Three” die had me thinking, “That is convenient, but not a necessity”. THEN I saw your examples using it… Oh My Goodness! I can see so many uses for it! Paired with the Take Three Winter snowflakes, it would make the most amazing glitter window card. Now I can’t wait to pick this one up!

This is my favourite Take Three so far and the new die is fabulous. Top it off with the In Blooms die, November is going to be another great release.
I’ve hesitated on the Take Three sets because they seem too similar with a limited number of layouts. But now, with the new die…..I can see many possibilities! I love the images for the winter set, pretty with lots of curves and swirls.

Such a simple but unbelievable clever idea this take three die!!!!!! No more measuring, pencilmarks, more measuring and more pencilmarks and then still winding up with 3 not quite straight and the same squares!!! Have to have to have it!!!
I like the Take Three Winter stamp set more than some of the other Take three sets I have seen. I think it may have something to do with introduction of the die cut! I love the flourish and the snowflake!

I am so thrilled to see this new triple die for the Take Three series. I have used a 1 inch punch, trying to get this same effect, but it take a lot of time to measure and get three squares lined up perfectly – always with a do-over. These images area perfect for the series finale – thank you Alli!

A punch will only reach so far and then trying to line everything up……….well………let’s just say that’s something I haven’t been able to master yet! And…… if you do get it to work, you don’t have the cute little rounder corners inside!!

I personally hate, hate, hate, cutting out images. I think it is a left handed thing. You are virtually cutting blind when it comes to small images. I am so thrilled to see all of these dies that are now available. And the fact that you can use these dies for cutting images and making windows on cards is a definite plus. I want them all…………please.

i absolutely love the take three sets and this month is no exception! the die is a perfect compliment.
When I saw the intro about the take three die I have to admit that I didn’t think I would use it – nothing that a punch and a corner rounder couldn’t do. But then I saw the three perfectly aligned ‘peek holes’ on the front of the card base – SOLD!
I don’t have any of the Take three sets – I have been waiting to see them all before I choose my investment.
And then the In Bloom dies. Oh my goodness! I have been tossing up between Friends til the End and In Bloom and I decided that the deciding factor would have to be which one got the matching die first – SOLD!
I am so excited about the “In Bloom” dies. I adore this stamp set and spend many hours cutting them out by hand. The take three sets are fantastic. Papertrey’s release of dies to match the stamp sets has been one of my favorite products of the year.
i have the Take Three: Summer, and i LOVE it. the sentiments are great and i love the flowers.
this Winter one is terrific too, i love that you added the sparkles to the snowflakes!
and making the window cards with the new die is genius! i am loving it!
