I love all the classics from my childhood that my daughter now enjoys, but as an adult, my favorite is It’s a Wonderful Life. I always cry at the end.

My favorite holiday movie is…are you ready for this (it is super geeky)…A Very Brady Christmas. Why? A huge family, gathering at the holidays, rallying around their dad in his time of need…what could be more touching? I come from a big family and this movie always reminds me of how great it is to be with family at Christmas time.
My favorite holiday movie is Charlie Brown Christmas. I have such fond memories of watching it as a child, watching it with my husband while dating, and watching it with my children now. I love how it makes me look at Christmas trees and decorations and see the beauty in even the “Charlie Brown tree” decorations. “Charlie Brown” has become an adjective in our home.
My favorite holiday movie is Polar Express. My youngest grandson & I have watched it every year since he was 4 and now he’s 8. It’s a fun night of hot chocolate, popcorn and trimming the tree. That’s the stuff memories are made of 🙂
It’s so hard to pick one, but I’d have to say White Christmas! I love classic movies and tv shows (ie. I Love Lucy, hence my dog Lucy). I could watch it over and over. I love the actors/actresses and I love the music and dancing. Always gets me in the spirit!

Nightmare before Christmas – I love the colors in this movie, I love the integration of virtually all holidays in one movie, I love the mix of good and bad and love in it. And it’s just fun.
I would have to say The Grinch. We love the movie so much we even have the Monopoly version that we play every year on Christmas and New Years Day.

My favorite holiday movie is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I remember watching this yearly with my family and now we do the same with our kiddos! In fact my daughters name is Abby and we frequently call her “Abby Lou Who” because she reminds us so much of her when she was small!

My absolute favourite Christmas movie of all time is definitely the original version of “Miracle on 34th Street”. I grew up watching it with my mum each Christmas and now I’ve carried on the tradition with my two young sons. We love Christmas movies, but nothing beats this one. It’s a special movie!
I don’t know if it’s a movie, but I always loved watching the Disney version of A Christmas Carol. Mickey and Minnie’s little Tiny Tim is so cute… it’s a good story overall but I just always found the animated version much more tolerable than any live acted version.

My favorite holiday movie is “Miracle on 34th Street”. When I was about 8 years old, I watched “Miracle on 34th Street” with my mom and then we watched it every Christmas after. During this movie, my mom would share her experiences with her grandparents visiting New York and sitting on Santa’s lap.
“A Christmas Story” would have to be my favorite because it is my husband’s favorite…and hearing him recite the lines while he watches it every year makes me smile. I realize at that moment that I am an amazingly lucky woman to have shared another wonderful year with this awesome individual.

It’s a Wonderful Life. I think that movie is so poignant for parents and people whose lives lived with ordinary, quiet honor. Fathers, mothers, and friends who may not realize just how meaningful their lives are to the ones around them. Just thinking about it makes want to get it out and watch it again.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story are my favorites because they are soooo funny! But in the end they are about family.
My absolute favorite is White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. We’ve watched it so many times, our daughters always sing along to the song “Sisters” from the movie. Although they are grown, watching that film brings me me right back to when they were little.

A Christmas Story…I know, not a classic, but this movie cracks us up every single year. My family and I also love the movie with Chevy Chase, National Lampoons Christmas. I guess with all the stress of the holidays it’s a good release, sharing a laugh together, after all this is what we enjoy the most.

A Christmas Story for sure – It’s the era I grew up in – I can so totally relate to those snow suits and the tongue on the pipe! My brother did that, bless his heart! Nostalgia is good for the soul and everytime I see that movie, it brings my family so close to me just remembering all of our special holidays as children.

A Christmas Story for two reasons. I raised two sons and believe me could I relate to alot of this movie. The second is that leg lamp, The look of discomfort on Moms face was just priceless. I watch the 24 hour marathon with my youngest son every holiday season.
i love watching Sound of Music… it just makes me feel all warm and cozy every time i watch it. perhaps it’s because i like to cuddle up in a nice fuzzy blanket with a cup o’ hot chocolate when i watch it. :o)

The Grinch. Not the new one with Jim Carrey but the old animated one. It brings back so many memories of watching every year when I was young and now I get to relive that with my children. Love the excitement in their eyes when we get to tell the The Grinch is on. Priceless.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas – the newer version directed by Ron Howard. I like Dr. Suess, and this was a fun, entertaining version — love the ending. I also have to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” every Christmas.
I love “Scrooged”. It is a classic comedy and it reminds me to appreciate life and enjoy your time with family and friends. I watch it every Christmas.
ELF is my absolute favorite. I love to watch this with my boys and husband..a great family comedy.
Hmmmm…. tough one! I would say A Christmas Story. It brings back great memories of hanging out watching tv in the den with my dad and my little brother.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas – the original animated version, please. Lots of reasons, but mainly because I love the idea that the grouchiest grouch can be transformed with enough love. And the sweet little dog gets me every time, too.
Definitely a Christmas Story…it is just a classic and no matter how many times I see it, it still make me laugh!!
I don’t have a favorite now, but as a child I always loved Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman. My daughter is just about ready to be introduced to those movies, I think. I loved the cool but wonky animation.
There are some amzing things in this release!! My favourite Christmas movie (which we watch every year) is The Muppet Christmas Carol – brilliant!
Home Alone One.. because every year after Thanksgiving dinner we sit with the family and watch it while we eat pumpkin pie! It really gets the Xmas Season started off right.. I HOPE one day we are doing that with our grandkids (like my mom is! 🙂 )

I have always loved A Charlie Brown Christmas. Now that I have two boys, we love watching it together at the holidays. My other favorite is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Again, it’s become a family favorite with our sons.
My favorite holiday movie is Elf. It is so funny and cute at the same time!
LOVE LOVE LOVE A Christmas Story. It makes me laugh every time I see it. The kid who gets his tongue stuck to the lamp post, when Ralphie’s brother falls down and can’t get back up because he is so bundled up in layers, and of course, “Ralphie, you’ll shoot your eye out!”
The Christmas Shoes…such a cool story all about love and family.
I love Charlie Brown Christmas. I just love how the teachers talk, the sad little Christmas tree that I must also buy for my home each year, and of course Snoopy!!

I love “It’s A Wonderful Life” because it reminds me to appreciate the truly important things in life.
We traditionally watch A Wonderful Life a couple of times during the Christmas season as well as on Christmas Eve. And I love this movie. But, my favorite Christmas movie has to be Christmas Vacation! The music, the humor, the chaos — we laugh until we cry!
OK – I know this isn’t the norm, but I just watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles with my teenagers and we laughed so hard. It’s set at Thanksgiving and in the end when you realize that John Candy’s character doesn’t have anyone and Steve Martin goes back to get him and bring him home it’s great. Laughed our selves sick along the way. The moving still holds up! OF course, I think it’s from the 80’s and I love that decade. Can’t wait to get my hands on this month’s goodies. My absolute favorite holiday movie is White Christmas. We usually watch it at least once in June or July when the weather is soo hot and unbearable, and dream of the cool temps of winter. Runner up would be Holiday Inn. Love the old classics, and how life was slower and simplier.
I think, “It’s a Wonderful Life” b/c we are big Jimmy Stewart fans. I will stop & watch a few minutes of it almost anytime I see it on the TV.
I adore Christmas movies!!! In fact, earlier tonight I was going through Netflix looking at their Christmas movie list! White Christmas – I love the banter between Bing and the rest of the guys and gals. The music and the dancing are just so great! My Dad had a big band – the Chuck Baker Orchestra in Aberdeen MD – so I grew up with the music. The Bob Hope movies were so funny, too.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. It was my only son’s favorite from the time he was a tiny boy. At age 47, he still watches it every Christmas season with his own children. I love the story of redemption and will always cherish those memories of his excitement when the movie started. He was the cutest!
It’s not the holidays without Chariie Brown. So gues my favorite would be Charlie Brown Christmas.

Every Christmas Eve I give our boys new pj’s. My DH even got a set of pj’s last year because I found a set with Ralphie on it!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is our family favorite just because of all the laughs. It relieves all of the holiday stress.

My favorite is Rudolph but I enjoyed playing the Muppets Christmas because my two boys would just laugh contagiously and that was music to my ears. I do miss those days since my boys are now 22 and 25.

Without a doubt, my favorite Christmas movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” I cry every time an angel gets its wings. DH and I have a tradition of watching this on Christmas Eve after attending midnight mass. I just love this movie.
I love White Christmas. I’m basically a song and dance gal – would have given my eye teeth to be in a Broadway musical. I love the music, a lovely story and a great cast. I know, I’m showing my age.

Watching The Christmas Story is a family tradition at our house. We can all relate to wanting something so badly that we can taste it and also getting that awful bunny suit pj’s from Aunt so and so. I especially love the movie because it is set in the time period when I grew up and remembering the smell of wet wool snow suits brings it all back. It is a family time of remembering, laughing, and togetherness.
There are too many to choose just one – I love Prancer, Call Me Claus, Miracle on 34th Street (the original of course),It’s A Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Holiday Inn and Christmas in Connecticut to name a few.
I’ve always really enjoyed watching Holiday Inn at Christmas time. It’s not really a holiday movie per se, but Bing Crosby does sing White Christmas in it, and that’s one of my favorites. I’m just a sucker for a sappy musical, I guess!
Another vote for It’s a Wonderful Life. It’s a classic. Another holiday favorite is not really a holiday themed movie, but they alway show it around Christmas, and that’s The Sound of Music. One of my all time favorite musicals, and I end up singing “Favorite Things” for the next week.
My favorite is Home Alone. My children through the past two decades have loved it too. We call it our family favorite movie. Watching it takes me back to when they were little and we would watch it over and over again (on VHS). Love it!

The Christmas Story. I can watch for the whole 24 hours of constant running on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Not only does it take me back to my childhood but my son, who happened to have gotten married today, looked just like Ralphy. Same glasses and facial features. Same character also. That movie brings back so many past memories of all of my Christmas pasts with my family and my only child. Today was an especially good day for this memory to come back.
My favorite holiday movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” It is a classic!! The message in the movie is one that speaks to ALL!! I think everyone at one time or another questions his/her importance in life and this movie reminds of the influence we have to so many in our lives!

This is such a tough question! If I can pick only one, I would have to say A Charlie Brown Christmas. I loved watching this every year as a kid, and now I get to share it with my kids! It is the first movie we watch with them every Christmas season.

Easy – “A Christmas Story” Not only is it funny and perfectly quoteable…it’s the first movie my (now) husband introduced me to. I had never seen it and he was so excited. Great memories of wrapping presents and watching it over and over. Then watching our children fall in love with the movie and hearing there belly laughs year after year. All from one little movie!

My favorite holiday moive is “it’s a wonderful life”. it’s just not the holiday without it….maybe next year you could make a bell stamp and die? wishful thinking.
My favorite holiday movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation, we love the part where there is a squirrel in the tree, we put a beanie baby squirrel in our tree every year! I love how the holiday is so crazy and yet we all just want to be with our families and share the holiday with each other.
I love Home Alone..it just cracks me up! There are so many funny lines from it and I love how Kevin outsmarts the 2 crooks.
I am very excited about the great stuff coming out this month – so inspiring. Would you believe I can’t think of any favorite “Christmas” movies – does the Sound of Music count? They play that on TV every year at Christmas & I love it – takes me back to when I saw it on the big screen for the 1st time when I was 5 & I hid under the seat when I thought the bad guys were going to catch them!
A Charlie Brown Christmas for two reasons. One, I always loved it growing up. Waiting for it to be on TV and when it finally appeared it meant that Christmas was truly coming. Two, my two boys first fell in love with it two Christmases ago and there is nothing sweeter than a 4 and 7 year old belting out “Hark the Herald Angels Sing!” I love that my sons and I share this special holiday show.
Oh boy that’s a hard one because I love the holidays and have literally all the holiday DVD movies, lol! But I’d have to say my favorite has always been “A Christmas Carol” but only the one with George C. Scott! Always sentimental, traditional and uplifting to watch cuddled up on the couch with my hubby and kids and the Christmas tree lights twinkling around us.

Well, my favorite holiday “movie” is really a TV show and I remember it when it first played on TV. It’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas”! Whenever I hear the music, I remember the excitement of anticipating Christmas as a child. 🙂
My favorite Holiday Movie is Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer because it is an all time Holiday Classic.
A Wonderful Life…its a great holiday movie with a true meaning of people helping others. I could watch it over and over again and I do.
Favorite holiday movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life”. It has become especially meaningful because our daughter surprised us with a puppy on Christmas morning eight years ago. She named him Bailey for us after the family in the movie. Our Bailey has brought us much love and laughter.
I think it’s a tie between It’s a Wonderful Life (such a great story and amazing cast…timeless) and White Christmas (I love those old dance/musicals, and it’s also a wonderful story).
I really like “It’s a Wonderful Life.” It reminds me of a simpler time in the world and even takes your mind back in time for the few short hours while it is on. Reminds me how good and giving people can really be.
I love Charlie Brown’s Christmas! I love the speech LInus makes and the reminder that although we are all imperfect, if we love one another we can become perfect in Christ our Savior. And of course I love the classic The Grinch who Stole Christmas. (The old version!) The music, the characters and the wonderful rhyming narrator. its all just perfect. A wonderful way to enjoy the holiday!

I am such a sucker for The Santa Clause. It is silly, but always entertaining each time I watch it.
We are just starting to build a holiday movie collection, so far we have The Polar Express, so that’s my favourite. I know my son is going to love watching it with us this year. The joy I see in him when he experiences the most simple of Christmas traditions is just so magical!

I really did not have a favorite Christmas movie until I met my hubby. At Thanksgiving he would go on and on about “putting your eye out” (Christmas Story). I have grown to love the movie because it is something that makes him laugh and smile. He waits in anticipation like a little kid for that movie to come on each year. Frahrararahrarararah…..such joy!
I think my favorite is Elf. I just think it is a fun movie to watch and think Will Ferrel is hilarious in it.

My favorite is a A Christmas Carol, any version. I love watching the redemption of what appears to be the most dispicable person. If gives us all hope that no matter what we do, someone will always love us, see the good in us, and show us the way when we are lost.
I don’t know if anyone has heard of this, but my favorite movie is One Magic Chistmas with Mary Steenburgen. Come to think of it, I think the Hallmark Channel airs it. But anyway, I remember watching it as a child. For some reason it really moved me and it has been a favorite ever since. Of course I have tons of other favorites like Home Alone, A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol, and Christmas Vacation, but One Magic Christmas is an all-time classic in my book.

“Meet me in St. Louis” which isn’t really a holiday movie, I guess, but it has Judy Garland singlng “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” to Margaret O”Brien in one corny scene that makes me cry every time!
I love White Christmas–it has wonderful music and I love how the story comes full circle at the end with the recreation of the war setting the movie begins with. We even named out dogs Wallace and Davis after the main characters. This is one we watch every year!

But mine is Sound of Music, as back in the days when you had to wait for something to come on TV in order to watch, it was on every year around Christmas. Hands down A Christmas Story! I think it’s hysterical and laugh every time I watch it. As soon as Thanksgiving is over it’s on at least once a week in my house and I get giddy on Christmas Eve knowing that it’s going to be on for 24 hours!
A Christmas Story used to be our favorite, but then the Santa Clause movies (with Tim Allen) came out. They are funny, yet heartwarming and focus on the importance of family. My kids even like to watch them throughout the year because they’re great!
My all-time favourite holiday movie is Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer: the one with Burl Ives singing “Silver and Gold.”
Berlin’s “White Christmas” because it’s a classic and the songs are melting my heart (even though I’m actually Jewish).
My favorite movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I AM Clark! I have such high expectations of Christmas that can’t truly be fulfilled. But in the end if your family is around, even crazy cousin Eddie, it will be ok. Every year on black friday, I gather the family (even made my mom in her 80’s) come watch the movie and get into the christmas spirit.
My favorite Christmas movie is The Polar Express. There is something magical about watching it with our children and seeing their reaction at the end–the bell.
One of my favorite holiday movies are both versions of Miracle of 34th St. I think that they are both very well done and the story is applicable to more than the holiday time. Thank you for a chance to win!

It’s so hard to pick just one favorite! I love watching holiday movies – even the silly ones that are made for TV. I scour the TV guides for them every season. But my top favorites are It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas.
My favorite holiday movie is A Christmas Carol, (Alistair Sim version). I love the idea that even if one gets off track, one can always start fresh!
At this time it is Polar Express. It is fun to see my daughter still believing in Santa. We saw a child last year pick up a bell in a store and shake it. Of course the little ball didn’t sound right and she said it was broke. My daughter overheard and whispered to me “she doesn’t believe, Santa won’t come see her”. We also have a little bell like the one in the movie and we “check” it when we take it out of the box.

I think my all-time fave is White Christmas. I just LOVE the music! However, tied for a very VERY close second would have to be the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street and The Santa Clause. And we can’t forget about Love Actually and The Holiday… Can you tell I ADORE Christmas movies?? 🙂
Christmas is my favorite time of the year!!! We love Christmas movies and make it a point to watch as many as possible during the season. The movie we usually watch more than once is Elf…such a silly, lighthearted movie. It just fills us with the joy of the season!

Ohh, I love holiday movies! But the one that I can watch over and over again, and never tire of, has to be It’s a Wonderful Life! I love how the story weaves together all those little moments of George’s life that seemed so inconsequential at the time, but turned out to make such a huge difference. A good reminder for us all!
I absolutely LOVE The Polar Express! Unfortunately, the rest of my family doesn’t! But, I still make them watch anyway ;). There are so many emotions that are evoked when I watch it, the joy, the wonder, the anticipation, the mystery, the excitement, all things Santa and Christmas wrapped into one wonderful movie!
That’s a hard question to answer because I love holiday movies, but my favorite is probably It’s A Wonderful Life with The Muppet’s Christmas Carol coming in 2nd.

Oh Elf gets me every time! “You smell like beef and cheese! You don’t smell like Santa!” I think by the time I’m embroiled in the holiday hustle and bustle, a good laugh can cure any stresses!!
A Christmas Story…it is timeless and a classic. Great for all ages. You can watch it every year and have a laugh. Who wouldn’t want a lamp that is in the shape of a leg.

My favorite has to be It’s A Wonderful Life. A timeless movie on how one person’s life can and does affect others around him. Makes me appreciate my own life and causes me to examine myself to make sure that my existence will make a difference .
My favorite holiday movie is A Christmas Carol. We have almost every version of the movie and watch them over and over during the holiday season. The story makes you stop and think about what is really important in life. The message is simple, but powerful. This is always a special tradition in my home.
It’s a Wonderful Life has been a holiday tradition for decades. Now I have my two little girls watching it and soon I hope that they will be able to quote from the movie like I can! 🙂 I love this movie because it teaches you to cherish what you have in life, embrace it and be thankful for it. I don’t need this movie to remind me of all that I am grateful for. But I do love to watch it as it teaches me a new lesson every year.

As a PP just comented …Love Actually! I totally forgot about this movie on first thought, but it is so lovely indeed, how everthing and everyone comes together on Christmas. Just Magic! With the kids in mind, I love Nightmare on Elm Street. Not that it is anything amazing as a movie, but I love how my kids brave it each Halloween and scare themselves silly, despite having seen it many times over. That movie gets a lot of “fun” milage. I love that they love it so.

I was going to say It’s a Wonderful Life, then I read the very first comment about A Charlie Brown Christmas and I thought “she’s right, the show, the music, everything!” It’s not a movie, but it still means Christmas is coming. But, if you need a movie, then it’s got to be It’s a Wonderful Life.
I actually like to watch HOME ALONE (the first one) during the holidays… it brings back fond memories from when I used to watch it with my family years ago when I was younger. My son now watches it and loves it!

It’s the Grinch (the tv show, not the Jim Carrey remake). Every year me and my Dad watch it together. We’ve been doing this for over 30 years and it just feels like Christmas when we watch it together.

Polar Express with Tom Hanks…I love the story the animation, the spirit. My son was just a little thing when it came out and loved trains. We have the music cd as well and play it every year when decorating. I always purchase the Polar Express ornaments from Hallmark and the bells. Thanks!

OMG …. White Christmas, without a doubt! I’ve always dreamed of going to an inn like the one in the movie ever since I was little. A cup of hot chocolate, something sweet to eat, my cozy blanket and I’m all set to watch that movie! It’s an annual tradition for me. I have it on VHS, think I should upgrade to a DVD this year! Little Drummer Boy is my favorite. My children loved this movie and even though it has been 40 plus years since they were little I can still feel them snuggled under my arms as we all shed a tear or two. Such a warm fuzzy memory.
Charlie Brown Christmas. I have such great memories of watching it every year with my sister and now I watch it with my kids! It’s always good to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Wonderful release… again!

How the lights twinkle on the snow to me is just breathtaking……….this from someone who’s daughter was born four days before Christmas and that year it was 60 degrees out in New England and still very green!!! Miracle on 34th Street. I love the innocence of that movie. Every year I have watched since I was a little girl. I am now 40 and its still magical for me.
Although it isn’t a “true” holiday movie, I remember as a little girl that The Sound of Music would always come on during the holiday season. I remember watching that movie with my mom and it has always been a very special memory for me. Whenever I think of the holidays, I think of that movie and my mom.
Maybe A Charlie Brown Christmas, because there is just something that tugs at me about it. But Polar Express is very cool too and I have fond memories of watching it with the neighbor kids when I had to babysit them suddenly.

I am a HUGE fan of the claymation “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” (and all the others, too). I just get so nostalgic when I watch those, and I have gotten my kids hooked, too. They just bring me back to my childhood.

I don’t anyone else would consider this a Holiday movie, but I associate it with Thanksgiving, What the Deaf Man Heard by Hallmark. In 1997, a few days before Thanksgiving I gave birth to twins 13 weeks premature, both were very small and one was not expected to make it through the day. I’m from TN and was living outside of Baltimore at the time where my husband was stationed. My parents had just made it in time for their birth. The first night after the girls were born, one having been transferred to Johns Hopkins earlier that day while the other was still at the birth hospital with me, though in the NICU, that movie premiered on tv and my husband and parents were there. My Daddy had to leave the weekend after Thanksgiving to return to work while my Mom stayed on, and I never got to see him again. One month to the day of my girls birth, he was injured in a work accident and died New Years Day 1998. That was the last movie I ever got to watch with him so it holds a very special place in my heart. It may not be what others consider, but at Thanksgiving I always like to watch it because of what it means to me.
My favorite holiday movie is a Christmas Story. I still remember seeing it in the theater with my brother and sister, I must have been in jr. high. We laughed so hard we cried. To this day, we always watch it at least once when TNT does the holiday marathon. It was a defining moment in my youth when my siblings and I were united as one, having a great time. Watching the movie always brings me back to that day. I cannot wait to share the experience with my children.
I really can’t say as I don’t go to movies.
So I can why I like a certain one, because I don’t know of any.
It’s gotta be “It’s a Wonderful Life”! It’s just not Christmas without it!

I love to watch While You Were Sleeping, and I don’t really know why. Except that, I was single for a really long time, and I identified with that lonely feeling, and how delightful falling in love with someone was, and how much contentment I felt having finally found that special someone to love and have as a companion and best friend. I absolutely love the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. The story is heartwarming and the characters dreamed up by Dr. Seuss are so original and clever. I am always spellbound when I watch it each year – always trying to see something I missed in the wonderful world of Whoville. I love the end of the story when the Grinch realizes that Christmas is more than just gifts and presents and his heart grow three sizes larger.
Love Actually! Even my husband will stop changing the channel on the tv is he comes across it during the holidays. Professor Snape when he’s not greasy looking gets me every time. 🙂

I always make time to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” around the holidays, and it HAS to be the black & white version. It is so uplifting to see how a depressed George finally realizes that his life truly has made a difference for others & that he is loved. A true classic in my opinion.

I know this is totally cheesy, but our family always watches Hallmark movies during the holidays and we usually end up watching ‘A boyfriend for Christmas’! It’s such a tradition now that I really like it!!

And ah what a soft spot in my heart for all the old Rankin & Bass animations like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Thank goodness times have elvolved and we can watch them on blue ray and dvds!

I don’t know why, but I love “Holiday Inn”… it’s a musical starring Bing Crosby and I can’t remember who else. I think it’s because DH and I saw it together early in our relationship, so it holds a special place in our hearts. It was out I think way before we were even born, but it’s a really cute love story. And older movies are so much fun.

Holiday movies are my very favorite. I TIVO them all. I fell in love with the Polar Express when it came out. Now that I have grandchildren (4 & 2 yrs old) and it’s even more fun watching it along with them making it a Grandma tradition.
It’s certainly not one of the classics, but we love watching “Elf” year after year. It always gets the whole family laughing! Thanks for the chance to win October’s fabulous release – I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
My favourite holiday movie is Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. I know it’s a weird one but it combines two fun and special holidays, Halloween and Christmas! What could be better than that? 🙂

It would have to be Polar Expres since my youngest son just adores it. Reminds me when he was at the age of questioning whether he “believed”. The movie seemed to make him feel better.

I am in love with a golden oldie called The Bishop’s Wife staring David Niven, Carey Grant and Loretta Young. It’s a story with angels and miracles and snowflakes and captures for me some of the deeper meanings of Christmas and lessons for life.
My favorite holiday movie is Home Alone, because if you say one line from that movie in a room full of friends, 75% of them will spit out the line that follows!
The 3 movies I HAVE to watch every Christmas are Miracle on 34th Street (the newer version) and Home Alone (the 1st and 2nd ones). It’s for purely nostalgic reasons but it’s not Christmas until I’ve seen ’em!
It’s not really the holiday season without watching Home Alone at least once, but I’m also a sucker for any of the made for TV Christmas movies that come on!
My Favorite is White Christmas!! I watch it several times each year. Love the music. It is tradition at our house.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Hands down. Watching that movie makes me feel better about the dysfunction within my own family. Also my personal goal for whenever we’re able to buy a house… to surpass the excessiveness of Clark Griswold’s Xmas decorations. Is that even possible? =P
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” because who can resist when the kids all sing Hark the Herald Angels Sing at the end…I grew up with this movie and I can’t wait to introduce it to my little boy.
Definitely White Christmas. As a child I watched it every year. I was in love with everything about the movie, the snow, the lodge, the music, and the beautiful Rosemary Clooney’s and Vera Ellen’s wardrobe. I watch it every year now with my daughters. They love it too!
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, or course! A story of a vandal and thief who finds the Spirit of Christmas and turns his life around!

I am sure a lot of people will say this but I LOVE “It’s a Wonderful Life” The most heartwarming story I have seen. I have to watch it every holiday season.
This is a hard one…I have 2 favorites. First, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation because it is hilarious! And who can resist the Griswolds? Second, Miracle on 34th Street for the sentimental feelings. I will always think of my Granny, who watched this with me as I was growing up.
I would say Miracle on 34th Street (the remake) because it’s such a heartwarming story & I like to watch it together with my kids.
I have two favorites…White Christmas and It’s a wonderful life. Too bad they don’t make them like that anymore.

What a fabulous release this month!!! Everything introduced is an item that I would love to use for the holidays and all year round. It’s A Wonderful Life is my favorite holiday movie. It’s message is just what the holidays are about — family, love, kindness and forgiveness. I never tire of watching it.

My favorite holiday movie is “A Christmas Carol” because every year, my dad and I would stay up late on Christmas Eve and try to find the 1938 version on TV. Now, with my own kids, I take them to a theater production of A Christmas Carol every year!

Hmmm….you are going to laugh, but it’s Groundhog Day…hey, you didn’t say which holiday!! I’ve always loved this movie and will watch it whenever it comes on t.v…..okay…but here’s the really cool thing about this….I have loved this movie since it came out….and when I started dating my husband 5 years ago, we were talking about our favourite movies and when I told him mine, he laughed because that’s his birthday, Feb 2nd, Groundhog Day!!! LOL Is that a sign he was the one or what!!! LOL

I love every songs(OST)in the movie because it carries a bit of Jazzy mood and I guess that’s all about the spirit of Christmas.

Weirdly enough, the movie I most associate with Christmas is The Sound of Music. It always used to play on either Christmas Night or Boxing Day (day after Christmas) when I was growing up!
My favorite holiday movie is Mickey’s Christmas Carol (does that count as a movie?). I love Scrooge McDuck and it is awesome to see him in this role!

White Christmas. It has become a tradition the past several years for me and my mom to catch it on tv between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year we could never catch the begining so we got it at the store, so we could see it begining to end.
I am fixing to date myself but one of my favorites was Burl Ives’ Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Burl Ives voice and the glowing red nose on a snowy Christmas Eve – Santa is on his way.
As silly and corny as it is, I LOVE the movie Elf. My kids have grown up with it. We giggle non stop and know most of the lines. And I love Bob Newhart. Anything he’s in, is deadpan hilarious. We watch it several times throughout the year. Not just at the holidays.
Frosty the Snowman! There is just something so cute and irresistible about him!
Elf! My son and I have a tradition of watching it while we trim the tree and then have popcorn and hot chocolate. We think it’s the funniest movie ever and never get tired of it!
My new favorite holiday movie is Surviving Christmas – mainly because my parents had the same green ford escort wagon in the movie and it was a huge source of laughter – we always joke that we are like that family!
I love a Christmas Carol. We presented this play when I taught school and it has many wonderful memories for me.
I would have to say Elf. It’s just so funny and always makes me and my family laugh. It’s nice to be able to sit down and laugh for a while even though I’m usually all stressed out with getting everything made and finished. I am working on being done ahead of schedule this year so I’m looking forward to more time with my husband and daughter. Not actually a holiday movie but the original Charlie & the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder always reminds me of my childhood christmas as they played it was on tv every christmas when I was growing up.
Charlie Brown Christmas..I love that it tells the real Christmas story. It’s a classic and I have great memories of watching it when I was a kid and watching it with my own kids.
My favorite Christmas movie is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer because it takes me back to sneaking candy canes off of the Christmas tree and drinking hot cocoa, waiting for Santy Clause to come along!
Oh gosh, just thinking about my favorite holiday movie – Christmas Story- makes me crack up!! It brings everyone in my family together for some wonderful laughs. Then we go around and repeat the lines. “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid.”

Oh my gosh, that’s a hard one! We really love movies all year round, but I do love winter when all the kids holiday movies start & we all cuddle up to watch. Our favorites are Frosty the Snowman and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. It’s nice to share the same things with my kids that I loved at their age!
There are so many good holiday movies to choose from. Two of my favorites are Elf and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. They are both so funny that I can watch them all year long.
I don’t have a favourite typical classic although I usually watch the Grinch, Frosty and Rudolf with the kids. My favourite film captures my father-in-law (an extremely quiet and private man) with his adult children at the dinner table laughing and talking about life. He’s been gone for several years now and we have so many special memories.
Our favorite is White Christmas. It is something our whole family watches over and over all year long. I love the music, the kids like the humor and war scenes. It is such a sweet story too.
My family loves watching the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at Christmastime. It is a film we can all watch, at all ages, and enjoy together.

My favorite Holiday movie is Charlie Brown Christmas. I love all the Peanuts characters and I remember having a Charlie Brown tree my first year in my apt.

My favorite Halloween movie growing up was “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and around Christmas and New Year, “It’s a Wonderful Life” with Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart. I didn’t really choose to like the latter movie on my own. I came to like it over the years since it was on so often on TV during the Christmas holiday. I guess you could say it just grew on me. I love Holiday Inn, it’s such a classic romantic movie with fun songs to put you in thr Christmas spirit.
Growing up in Ireland two movies that were always shown at Christmas time were ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Willy Wonka’. My sister and I would watch them every year. I love them both!
I know they really aren’t movies but as a kid I always loved watching Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph. And after I had kids myself, I loved watching it with them every year.
My favorite holiday movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” It’s a beautiful story with a lesson that is so true!
I absolutely love The Muppet Christmas Carol…how can you go wrong with Gonzo as Charles Dickens and his trusty sidekick Rizzo the Rat…plus I watch it with my sister and that is to me priceless!! I give this movie five ***** (those are my stars) heheh
Well it would be a toss up between “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”. Rudolph, because I have watched it as long as I can remember and it just doesn’t seem like Christmas unless I have watched it. It’s a Wonderful Life because it is such a classic and and I always feel all warm and fuzzy after watching it.
It’s a tie – White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life! I also love to watch Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas with my children…such great animation (both on screen and off).
Oh there are so many …….. We LOVE It’s A Wonderful Life because it has such a good message in the movie but ELF just makes me laugh from my toes to my nose!!! We try to work it into a conversation at least once a week during the off months and probably watch it 15 times during PEAK season.
Ohhh my!!! My all time movie is White Christmas, hands down!! I have watched it every year since I was in elementary school. I know all the songs. My husband is totally on board with watching it every Christmas. 🙂
“It’s A Wonderful Life”. The friends and family that come together at a time of happiness and in the times of need is just so heartwarming and just a plain “feel good” movie.

Frank Capra’s It’s A Wonderful Life is my all time favorite! We watch it every Chritmas Eve. It is such a great movie – I always give my husband and son a big hug after watching it! And, it has one of my favorite lines: “No one is poor who has friends”. So true!
I love the Rankin/Bass “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”! What a classic. My young kids love it, even though by today’s standards the animation is very old-school.
The Christmas Story…our whole family watches it on Christmas Eve and it has just become a family tradition that we look forward to each year!
Arsenic and Old Lace with Cary Grant. This comedy is absolutely hysterical. Not your typical holiday movie, but it’s what I watch every Halloween.

My favorite holiday movie is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I think everyone wants to have a “perfect” Christmas with all of the traditional memories. Although I have never had quite a disaster as Chevy Chase has in this movie, I have experienced my share of crazy, funny things that have happened during Christmas that have left me with some great memories.
My favorite Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street. I just love a happy ending. My husbands is Its A wonderful life and we watch them both every Christmas after dinner.

Although it is not necessarily a film, one thing I always look forward to is the SNL christmas special. I love the section with the topless Martha story telling at the school and Adam Sandler’s hanukah song. It is definitely something I look for each and every year. I feel like it has almost become a tradition in our family.

It’s a Wonderful Life. I love the lesson that it is the people in our lives that are most important. Something that I really think is missing in today’s society. I watch it every year.
My favorite movie is “A Christmas Story” not really because I love it but because I love watching my husband watch it. He laughs so hard (even though he’s seen it a bazillion times) that it makes me laugh. We watch it the whole time we are getting every thing set up for the kids on Christmas Eve.

I have always loved It’s A Wonderful Life ever since I first saw it. Jimmy Stewart helped teach me that one person can make a difference and that character matters. Its now such a part of my history, I just treasure it!

As ridiculous as this might sound, I have to say that my favorite movie from the holiday season is elf. I love to watch it for the comedic factors as well as the fact that it was shot in NYC. Its so much fun to see all the landmarks etc. in this film!
