Things have been crazy around here as last minute preparations for CHA are underway. (If you missed all the details about CHA, you can get all caught up HERE!) I am so excited to see everything come together this year! We have all worked so hard to make our booth a little slice of Papertrey heaven right in Chicago!
I thought it would be fun to document a little of the prep work behind the scenes. Today I bring you images of the project that David and I took on yesterday. (Excuse the quality of the photos, they are taken with my iphone since I didn't have my camera handy!) We picked up all of the booth fixtures we ordered to add to what we already had accumulated from last year. This includes grid walls, shelving, hooks, pegs, fasteners and everything else we need to contain all the merchandise we are bringing.
The booth this year is four times the size of last year's booth in an effort to accommodate everyone and alleviate lines. We also doubled our check-out area with four cash registers instead of two.
It is always so fascinating to see all of these boxes turned into something as tangible as a temporary "store"! After opening all of these boxes and getting everything organized in the booth storage unit that we rent, we were beginning to get those first twinges of excitement that the big event will soon be here!

My goodness, you really went BIG this year. So glad to see all the seats at the Make and Take area and the larger shopping space. I did not mind the lines last year because of all the people I met while hanging out, but this will certainly make thing move quicker. Best of luck getting it all set-up and ready for the masses.

It’s like waiting for Christmas morning when I was about seven years old! I am so grateful for the ladies that send photos of the happenings while you are there, I live for them and they make me happy. TFS

I love seeing the “behind the scenes” photos—gives everyone a sense of all the work it takes to set up your booth. I would love to go to CHA one day. At some point, I would also be interested in “behind the scenes” photos/explanation of what goes on after we hit our “submit order button”—-maybe some would be more patient if they could see all the work involved.

I was part of the “log jam” at CHA last summer in Orlando, but it was worth the wait! It introduced me to your stamps and yes, I got the freebie. This layout ought to help handle the crowd. Good luck!

The booth last year was cozy and everyone waiting in the long lines was really so patient and nice — but it was crazy, wasn’t it? Nice to see the new expanded booth and make & take areas. And I’m sure that some storage in the booth area will make the runners/stockers happy! Wish I could be there, but with a trip already scheduled for the weekend on each side — just not possible. I decided to place a big order on release night instead of getting a proxy shopper — I’ll miss out on the free set, but I’ll have lots of stuff to console myself with while I’m sitting at home thinking of you all. Best wishes for lots of fun and much success!

Just seeing those boxes is so exciting. I can’t wait to be there again this year! I’m going to be 34 weeks pregnant but there was no way I was going to miss CHA. I’ve tutored students all summer just so I’d have money to spend at your booth. I just can’t wait!

I am so jealous! I live in the Orlando area and was at the booth last year. It sounds like you really learned from last year’s experience. Now just don’t run our of favorite stamps….well maybe that’s a good indicator of how well you are doing. LOL Best of luck…you are all such awesome women!

I purchased my first but certainly not last round of PTI stamps and I’m in L-O-V-E!!!! I could have bought so much more!!! I got to meet Dawn McVey who is a sweetheart. So friendly and just upbeat 🙂 You are all amazing ladies who design these stamp sets. I hope to one day be on the DT! CHA rocked!
