After the release of our popular stamp set Everyday Button Bits (see original countdown post HERE), we have been overwhelmed with requests for more sets like it. Seems as though everyone likes digging through our vintage buttons just as much as I do! We felt that the perfect subject matter to tackle next would be the upcoming Christmas holiday!
The details.
- Holiday Button Bits will be available for purchase on October 15th.
- It will retail for $24.
- Holiday Button Bits contains a total of 24 stamps (9 images and 15 sentiments).
Now, how about some projects?
This first card shows you the ADORABLE snowman from Holiday Button Bits. Don't you just love him! He's SO cute!
The background was created with one of the snowflakes from Snowflake Serenade, stamped with white ink onto ocean tides cardstock. A small additional strip of Ocean Tides is added across the center cover of the card, stamped with Polka Dot Basics using Versamark ink.
This little snowman image is actually really easy to integrate with the button. Stamp the little guy twice. Color him in using Ocean Tides Copic Trio, R20 for the rosy cheeks, Orange Zest for the nose. Just a touch of T1 for some shadowing. I also used a colorless blender to add subtle dots to the hat and scarf after coloring them blue. Cut out ONE of the heads and add a foam dimensional to the back, then adhere the white button to the body of the second one.
You can then layer the two together for a fabulous realistic look, allowing the cut-out head overlap the button slightly. So easy and such a fun project!

There is a Santa in this new set that works along the same lines as the snowman image. You can't have a holiday set with out dear ol' Saint Nick!
Here he is before he's assembled. Once again, stamped twice. His body and hat are colored with the Pure Poppy Copic Trio on one of the images. The other you just use the head & beard, using R02 for the flesh and R20 for the rosy cheeks.
Once you add the Pure Poppy button for his round, jolly belly, you can adhere the head in place using a foam dimensional.
A scrap of True Black Gingham Ribbon is added in the upper left corner as a finishing accent. A small black brad holds it in place.
You might of noticed the subtle pattern strip behind the focal point on this card. It was created using the new Giga Guide Lines, which we will be debuting this month as well. More about the details of this set later this week! The medallion image was stamped across the Pure Poppy card front using Versamark ink.

This next card is one of my favorites of the bunch for it's unconventional color scheme. Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Spring Moss & Vintage Cream. The background of this card was created with the Giga Guide Lines set I mentioned earlier. Stamped with Berry Sorbet ink onto Melon Berry cardstock.
This kraft strip is stamped with a NEW version of Background Basics: Text Style we are releasing, formally called Background Baiscs: Text Style II. This particular image from the set is a fun typewriter font that I have been excited about using on my projects. It is stamped with Vintage Cream ink onto the kraft cardstock. You may also notice the Rustic Cream Button Twine used. It was wrapped around the card front twice. To help keep it in place, I notched either side of the border with a 1/8" hole punch. That little detail makes everything a lot easier.
Here's a close-up of the holly image included in the Holiday Button Bits set, stamped with Spring Moss ink. It's very large, so you can easily fill an entire card front with it. The center of the leaf trio is open to allow you to add any mixture of buttons you like, in any shape or scale, to represent the berries. It's SO incredibly fun playing around with the different looks you can create! I've used Berry Sorbet buttons on this particular project!

This last card uses a single image that features three strings for hanging ornaments, complete with little bows. I wanted to create a really elegant card so I chose Scarlet Jewel & Vintage Cream as my colors, with a bit of gold thrown in as well.
The ornament strings along with the sentiment were heat embossed with our Filigree Gold Embossing Powder. The Scarlet Jewel mat is outlined with our gold paint pen.
The ornaments are created with a mixture of Ripe Avocado buttons. Just simply adhered with glue dots. You'll notice I used Giga Guide Lines (again!) on the background layer using Versamark ink. Simple but with an elegant flair.
To compliment this new Holiday Button Bits set, we are releasing a custom Holiday Mix of our Vintage Buttons on October 15th as well. This allows someone just beginning their collection to receive a variety of colors for very little investment. The buttons come in a special collector's edition plastic candy jar that you'll love to set in your stamping space.
This Holiday Mix includes the following colors:
- Ripe Avocado
- Spring Moss
- Pure Poppy
- Raspberry Fizz
- Aqua Mist
- Ocean Tides
- Vintage Cream
- White

I didn’t get the last button set, but I’m liking this one. I don’t color images though so I’m not sure I can use the whole set – wouldn’t you have to color the Santa and the snowman? But I like the ornaments and the berry leaves – – right up my alley. The buttons will be a FAB gift for friends who love PTI and have yet to try them!

Everyday Button Bits has become one of my favorite sets. I LOVE this Christmas edition. So many possibilities, and as always your cards are so beautiful. Even though I recently starting collecting the buttons, a few colors each month, I know I will want this button collection for my desk!

Nichole, I am bursting at the seams to get this new set! I was so bummed when it wasn’t released last month, so I am so excited to wake up this morning to see the beautiful samples! There has been a dark cloud over my house lately, and this is just what I needed to lift the dark cloud! I do see a day off from work in my future when this set arrives! I love it, everything I hoped it to be!

Well, I don’t usually “do” Christmas cards of my own, but this set may just change my habit (and be useful for other winter themes and thank-you’s). These samples really knocked my socks off–how DO you do it month after month?! Thank you for enriching paper crafters everywhere!!
I love the ideas with the buttons, period. I tried to order Everyday Button Bits when I ordered last month but it was sold out so I guess both of these will be making their way onto my wish list. Also I just started buying your buttons (I began with Poppy, Black, Cream/White, and Chocolate) so the mix bag is AWESOME!!!

I love this set! I thought after buying all your September Christmas releases (except for one), that I wouldn’t need anymore Christmas sets. Well, I guess I was wrong. My only hesitation is how to mail a card with buttons on it. Rather than selling these cards, maybe I’ll keep them to send out myself. I would love to win it and the buttons. I currently have six bags of buttons, so this would be a great addition to my supply.

This was uch a brilliant idea the first go ’round and just as brilliantly executed. Verion 2.0 of Button Bits i jut as amazing! I love it and will be buying it to add to set 1. 🙂
My initial reaction was this.. go back to email… email my friend in LOUD YELLING SQUEAL.. did you see Nicoles blog.. I have only made it to the santa and I NEED it… LOL!! then I saw the giga guidelines and had to WRITE her again!! HA HA! sooo EXCITED for this release.. I LOVE it all so far.. (and I already put the paint pens in my cart WAITING for release night! LOL!!)

Oh these are adorable….I won some blog candy of an assortment of PTI button on Papercrafts blog..I was so thrilled but they were unable to ship internationally as their policies regarding international mail had changed with their new owners so of course I would love these georgeous button if you ship the the UK!!!! I just started stamping in February, so was a little disappointed last month(little, not much) not to see the holiday button bit collection. Wellll……you sure don’t disappoint Nichole!! LOVE this and really can’t pick a favorite I can see me making them all….including Debbies christmas tree. I have all of your buttons, but I do love that jar that the assortment comes in might have to order it just for the container.

I am in love! This set is incredible. I especially like Santa’s fat tummy. Oh, I can’t wait to use it. And I love the holiday button collection. I’m slowly but surely getting your buttons in all the colors, but this is so nice! I’m not the most patient person, and this way I can get a ton of colors all at once. Thank you! After a five year hiatus from teaching HS science I’m back in the classroom – well into the school year with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I love it and find my days so satisfying, but I literally have spider webs now on my craft table.

This is a great new addition to the button bits concept! I am particularly fascinated with the layering of paper and buttons with the snowman and santa–it looks so cool and is way easier than it looks. The one I am most likely to use first is the hanging ornaments. I very much like them all in the same color–buttons and stamping ink. It just makes me curious what might be the next member of the button bits family!

From the first time I saw Everyday Button Bits set I fell in LOVE with it. I am SUPER excited about this second set!!! I wrote Paper Trey Ink just last week, when I fell in love with the Everyday Button Bits stamp set from a blog. At this time I LOVED the set instantly. It was out of stock and now back in and I would like to get BOTH sets at one time. WOW, what a treat that would be!!!!! GOSH, I AM SO EXCITED!!
