Wow. Still excited beyond reason to even be making this introduction today. When I got an official "yes" from this talented designer last month, I could hardly contain my excitement. I mean, really, who wouldn't be excited about seeing the great Teri Anderson working with your product?
Teri Anderson is one of the great "classics" in this industry. She has a super simple & clean style that is easy to replicate and use as a building block for your own creativity. Her blog is like a breath of fresh air. Clean & simple, just like her paper crafting style. She introduces each card as a friend, which makes you want to pull up a chair, get comfy and stay for a while.
Teri is so well-spoken and knows how to write in such a way, that you feel like you are sitting down with her to chat over a cup of coffee. She used these skills to provide me with a bit of background about herself that I thought I would share with you today…
"I'm an all-around paper crafty gal. I make cards, scrapbook pages and pretty much anything you can dream up with paper. I like to do it all."
"If I had to pick one thing I loved to make most, it is definitely cards. That's because they are so practical. I always need cards to send out to people."
"I was a scrapbooker before I was a cardmaker. I kept a scrapbook as a teenager. But it was when I moved to a small town for a job in my early 20's, that I really got into scrapbooking. I didn't know anyone in that small town so I joined a couple online groups and started going to scrapbook crops at the local stores. My interest (and life outside of work) really took off from there."
"When I'm not making stuff, I am taking pictures, going to concerts,
spoiling my two Pomeranians, hanging out with family and friends and
spending time mowing, bowling and cooking. I also have what has become
sort of a hobby of trying out to be an extra. I've gotten to do it for
three movies and had a few close calls for other projects. Being an
extra sounds much more glamorous than it is. It's basically just being
breathing furniture. One time I drove a car for a couple of traffic
scenes. Another time I hung out on bricks, pretending to talk with
some gals at lunch time."
"I've been published in most of the major stamping, card making and scrapbook magazines at one time or another. I'm one of Paper Crafts magazine's six Go-To-Gals. (I get to meet Betsy in September! Yay!) I also served a voluntary stint a few years ago on the magazine's editorial board."
"I'm on the design team for Art Declassified, a small wonderful rubber stamp company. I've previously been on design teams for SEI, Wordsworth and Paper Love Designs. I also did some design work for Webster's Pages in their early days."
"I love this hobby for many reasons.
First and foremost, paper crafting just plain makes me happy. It's easy to shut out the world for a few minutes and get lost in creating. I love playing with products and trying to come up with some unique and interesting ways to use them. There are so many possibilities and there are really no boundaries."
"Second, I love that you don't need a lot of supplies to paper craft. All you really need is paper, a few accessories and a little creativity."
"And last, I dig the people. Some of the nicest people I've ever met are paper crafters. Some of my closest friends came into my life because of this hobby."
