I look at the versatility of the stamp set. Can I make cards for different occasions. Can I make it feminine, masculine, fun, traditional by changing the colors or patterns. Lisa’s set is a must on my list for those exact reasons, along with Guidelines 2. Thank you for another wonderful release!

I also love Lauren’s new templates. I love that you have expanded and now have a great value on buttons. P.S. You white cardstock is the BEST! Heavy, nice, stamps great, good value! I’m really looking forward to seeing the complete guidelines 2 set! I love the idea of creating your own backgrounds!! Sometimes I choose a set for a specific purpose, such as, Men of Life….I’m having a boy and his bedding is going to be sailboats and then I saw that set and some of Nichole’s and Melissa’s (Bickford) ideas and fell in love!! So I think it just depends on what I’m needing at that moment. Unfortunately for me, I can always find a “need” with PTI stamps!! Love you guys!!! PTI rocks!

I really like a mix of sentiments and images. For me if I have an awesome image, but no sentiment that I like to go with it, sometimes I feel a bit lost. The new Life set is perfect for my style. I think that you offer a great variety of styles for every person, and I think that’s what has so many people drawn to your company. That, and the way that you really do care what your customers think.

And I really think PTI does a great job of “bang for buck”. That is why I am still shopping here. The second thing I look for is versatility within a set and the ease with which to combine it with other sets. Again, I think you do a really good job of that. Things like flowers and birds, or even leaves and trees can be used to celebrate many occasions and people. I also love that you include so many sentiments with most of your sets. I love really great usable sentiments. nothing cutesy, but elegant, to the point sentiments. This months mixed messages mixes great fonts plus its a good size.
I also love things like birthday basics. A lot of different styles to choose from for one sentiment. I keep hoping to see a Thank YOu Basics, but haven’t yet! Please tell me there is one in the works. I am dying for a good Thank you set. I also really love anything simple, timeless and bold. I like versatile stamp sets, which can work for both card making, scrapbooking and mixed media art (Like the polka dot basics). I’m looking forward to the flowers’ silhouette set which is going to be released today (Johnson’s design). A set which includes both images and sentiments (even just a couple prominent sentiments) is better.

I’d love to see a stamp set with multiple script design with letters from different languages. It can work perfectly as one of the background series sets. (As well as a texture set – wood grain, burlap, bubble wrap, plaid, etc.).

It’s time for me to just get down to doing cards with a few less companies. It definitely makes coming up with card ideas so much easier. And the samples………I could go on about them forever. I think I’m more focused on the images. Sometimes (I know this is horrible, but..) the sentiment is almost an afterthought. Maybe that didn’t come out right. I know what kind of card I want to start making, but I don’t usually choose the stamps I’m going to use based soley on the sentiment. The card tells me which direction it wants to go, and then I choose a sentiment that fits. I like sets that give you the option of an outline image to color and a solid image for silhouettes.. I don’t have to worry about style when ordering from PTI; they’re all SO stylish and fab!!!!! I’m afraid even my enabling husband is going to have a coronary after this order. Tee hee!

I have yet to find one that’s “perfect!” Keep the new colors and patterned paper designs coming! I look forward to purchasing the new colors and patterns each month! 🙂

Of course the images are beautiful, too, but I love having just the perfect sentiment when I am creating a card or project for someone and your sentiments help me express those feelings from my heart!

So many stamps to LOVE this month — each with great unique characteristics. There are a couple of things I look for when I purchase rubber stamps: is it something that complements what I already have, versus duplicates; is the set something that is versatile, can I use it for more than one project; does the set have components that make it complete (images with sentiments that correspond and fit dimensionally). BUT truthfully it is the projects and inspiration you and your design provide that have hooked me!!!! THANKS SO MUCH for jump starting my creativity with your amazing artistry!

When I look at sets, the images are what catch my eye. I want sets that can be used for several occasions. I make a lot of cards for people who are sick or need encouragement. I need more masculine oriented stamps and ones that can be used for both sexes. I like sentiments that go with the images or have a comforting message without saying “get well” for those who are not going to get well. I want a set for books…many in my family are avid readers or collect books. This would be a great set for men and women. PLEASE make a book set. Additionally, I love the clean lines of your stamp sets. If I had the money, I would buy ALL of your stamps! In the future, I would like to see some sentiments with For You First Holy Communion, Baptism, etc. Maybe more sentiments as a whole collection. Sometimes I go from one set to another to find a sentiment.

Tough questions! 😀 Life appeals to me because of the elegant silhouette florals and the sentiments. Wishing You is just plain fun with the funky tulips and they are my favorite flower. Guidelines Two offers lots of versatility with making intricate backgrounds and is like nothing else out there in the market. Mother has some beautiful sentiments. Images are what draw me to a set initially, but I also love the mix of fonts used for the sentiments in most of the PTI sets. You and the other designers choose such great sentiments! I think what compels me to actually purchase a set is if it is something that fills a hole in my own collection of stamps and can be versatile. I have to say that it is always extremely difficult to choose, and this month is no different. 🙂

One thing I love about Papertrey is that your fonts are readable and classic – I cannot stand crazy fonts and unreadable script. I love sentiments and would love more “inside card” sentiments for all holidays and events. That is what is most lacking in my stamp stash.

I am very exited to be getting the Mixed Messages in a larger version. I am also drawn to the Guidelines 2 set because the grid looks a little more user-friendly than with the first set. LOVE that set. The images are what usually draw me to a set. I knew the second that I saw your Boards and Beams samples I had to have it. I am also attracted to any flower image. I love the ability to use just one stamp set to complete several cards. This means enough sentiments and images to mix and match. I like the ability to add colour to each image so I tend to gravitate towards outlined images as opposed to solid images. There are so many more options when you can choose how to colour an image (watercolour, markers, chalks, technique based)than if the image can only be stamped as one colour. Hope this adds some insight. Thanks

Since my craft budget isn’t as large as it used to be I go for versatility in a stamp set. I have to be able to use a set for a variety of things…which is why I spend 95% of my craft budget with PTI. I also have to love the style…which is why I spend 95% of my craft budget with PTI. Most of PTI’s stamp sets appeal to me, all of your origional products I love the card stock, ribbon, ink pads and buttons are all at the top of the food chain as far as I am concerned as stamping and papercraft products go.

I now basically only buy PTI stamps and have sold off almost all of my (150+) SU! sets because I find PTI’s sets to be so much more versatile and I love the overall style of all of the stamp sets! Keep in mind that I used to be a SU! Demonstrator who swore I would never like clear stamps! I tried clear stamps by CTMH, Hero Arts, Etc. and was not impressed by the quality. However, when I stumbled across PTI and ordered a set to try, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the stamps. Since then I have been hooked, and each release seems to get better!

I feel that once I have a number of happy birthyday, thinking of you type sentiments I am looking for more creative verses to add to them. I especially like it wwhen there is one word that is added seperately like in the new “Life,” OOAL, and Heartfelt sentiments. I love the versatility and uniqueness these sets provide. And while I am writing a small novel with this post I thought I would add that I would love a reverse image set of the animals in Forest Friends (and if you could add a rabbit…”Thumper”…that would be the icing on the cake!).

I have to say its the unique PTI style (sentiments & images alike) that draws me to your stamp sets. It’s their functionality and how you and your team present them in such unique ways. My stamp choice is usually based on the fact I can’t find it anywhere else and it fills a niche in my stamping needs….you are great at doing it too!

Guidelines 2 is definitely on my shopping list for this month! I like the flexibility of the set for making backgrounds in whatever colors or patterns I can imagine.

I think that the images are the most important part to me of any stamp set. I figure I can always find sentiment sets to fill in the blanks, but finding great images that are crisp and appeal to my classic-but-modern-and-simple aesthetic is key.

The clean, crisp designs of PTI stamps help my creativity soar! I love sets that cross over from one occasion to another or simply help me build backgrounds with endless possibilites. I am so drawn to sets like Guide Lines I & II for that very reason. I try to buy things that help me generally do at least three things or more with it. If I need something specific or a certain occasion, I buy that, too. Otherwise, I am most drawn to clean, crisp designs with versatility.

So sets that don’t demand to be colored in every time are great. Creative sentiments with wonderful fonts are always appreciated as well. Papertrey has become my go-to stamp company in so many ways!

The number one question I ask myself is…does this fill a whole in my stamping collection, and how versatile is the set.

I love fonts and sentiments, so as long are the sentiments are unique I will usually get them.

I really like the Mother set because there really doesn’t seem to be a whole of stamps out there just devoted to mothers. I think this is very unique and fills a major void in my collection. Haven’t seen all their sets in their entirety and I usually wait to make any final judgements till I can see the whole “enchilada” if you know what I mean!

I am working on a gift idea that Wishing You will be perfect to use. But also in my cart will be some older sets that I just now have projects that “need” them, like Green Thumb. I think this is key in order to reach card makers and scrapbooker’s alike. In the future, I would love to see a more sophisticated butterfly set like you have done with honey bees. And more of the background building kind of sets with a mix of larger, single images thrown in (like you did with Dawn’s Damask Designs set. I think that set is really current and versatile. I have 2 favourites this month: the first one is the guide lines set/ I already have the first one and boy I love it. You can do background (so no need a pattern paper) but you can also accent a card made with another stamp. The second one is the mixed messages larger version. I was talking to my friend last week about it. I have the small version and wished it would be so pretty larger (I’ve been heard). In my collection , I like to have a good balance of sentiments and images that can go togeter even if they are not from the same set ,which usually is easy to acheive with PTI stamps. ANd it’s good to have a fair amount of sentiments in any sets so it increase the versatility of it.

All of the PTI sets are “speaking” to me this time around. Versality is the most important quality that I consider when selecting a stamp set. I want to be able to use each stamp set for multiple occasions. I am typically drawn to the images in stamp sets, but it is hard to identify what specifically draws me to those images. I liken finding an image I adore to meeting a potential love interest…we might not know why exactly we are attracted to a particular one, but we know when we see something we like. 🙂

I love the idea of making your own bkgd papers with the new bkgd set. I like sets that have images… like the baby set but wish their were a few more images, ie: clothes line full of baby clothes so I can color them in!! or even a stork. Messages are great too. I find myself wanting funny messages like with a bird stamp “you old bird” or “don’t forget me when you’re famous” “big shot”. Sassy and funny messages I guess. And especially like stamps that coordinate with a punch!! Less work on my part, not cutting by hand. Hope you all agree. Thanks for asking. Best wishes to all and to all a good night! 🙂

For me it’s versatility. I like to be able to use stamp sets for as many occasions/reasons as possible. That said, I also LOVE sentiments – I like stamp sets that come with a few sentiments and am fond of just sentiments sets. Different sizes is also important to me – you need a number of different sized “Happy Birthdays” so you are certain to have the right one for that special card :o)

To me, an image is not complete without a sentiment. One of the reasons I love your stamp sets is because your sets have so much versatility. I love how you can mix and match things in the sets and among all of the sets. I can’t wait to see all of the sets in its entirety! The Wishing You is my favorite so far this month!

The image is usually what gets me first and how (at first sight) I might use it. I know that if ideas are bursting in my head, then I probably “need” to purchase. Sentiments conveying a simple phrase or a single word. Fonts that “match” the image. I would love to see detailed fern stamps and a Christmas in July release?.
The Life set looks like it could be a favourite for me, organic-like and I have to try your papers. I am a bit of a PA (paper addict)

My style is usually clean, crisp and simple, but when I see your sample cards in the sneak peeks, I want to leap into change-mode(ie: making my own background papers out of your sets). I also like when sets have both images and sentiments–but, if I were to chose just one, it would have to be images. Thanks for all your hard work this month, as usual you and the DT gave us another fabulous intro to the new products.

I think I am drawn to images first if it is a really versatile set (like flowers.) Life is probably my favorite from this release. I love branches and stems! If it is more of a themed set (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.) then I am looking for great sentiments to help me express what I can’t figure out how to say. If I’m on the fence about a set, really good sentimants or a unique font can push me over the edge. Also, if a set has a really unique font, I want a Happy Birthday sentiment (for the inside). Thanks for asking. These will be interesting comments to read!

My choice of stamps has little to do with anything but the following questions:

“Do I love this stamp set? Will I use it to make at least 2 dozen cards? Do I have a specific project in mind?”

If I can’t answer these questions affirmatively, then usually I pass. I learned the hard way about buying every wonderful, cute new stamp set. Obviously, asking these questions will lead me to buy versatile stamps, such as Mega Mixed Messages, which I can see using on hundreds of cards over many years.

I may also get Life, because it is perfect for the look my cousin wants for her wedding invitations. Of course, I will double check with my cousin and be sure this is what she wants. Not only do I love the set, I know I will be making 100+ wedding invites with it when I buy it, which makes it a worthwhile investment. Even if I turn around and sell it for $5 used because I am so sick of it after mass producing the wedding invitations I am making for my cousin, it will more than pay for itself.

With regards to semtiments I look for sets that I can use on the front and/or inside of a card.I also look for value – which you guys are the masters at!

Wishing You combines all the characteristics I like – sentiments that can be used in/outside of a card and super cute images. Mega Mixed Messages will also be a must have for me.

I have been looking for a Botanical Silhouette set and Lisa’s set is perfect. What I like about this set is the non-specific plant images that can be made into different flowers depending on what images and colors are used. The possibilities are endless.

When considering a stamp set for purchase I don’t really think about the number of sentiments in a set – I look more at the images and what examples have been shown during the countdown.

I usually prefer a balance between images and sentiments, but every now and then you need more of one than the other to make a set truly useful. Somehow, you know when to make a set more sentiment, like Mother and it’s perfect, or totally image like Grid Lines 2 and it’s perfection. That is one reason I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us each month. It just takes my breath away. Thank you for your attention to detail and fantastic graphic designer skills. Gotta go order!

When I see the creations that are made and posted on the blog, I get images in my head of what I could be creating with the same items and who to give them to.

I love that the sets this month have a fresh look that can easily be changed from soft and subtle to bold and bright.

I think I focus more on style and the images than the number of sentiments. I like clean and simple…yet versatile sets. Of course I like a set to include pertinent sentiments, but the images always sell me. When I do look at sentiments to purchase, the fonts usually are the selling point. I love that PTI frequently changes the fonts for each stamp. I love a whimsical key word (or two) and a more standard font for the rest of the sentiment.

I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the new products :O)

I often make my own backgrounds so stamps that can make a background easily over a large space as well as single images that coordinate in the same set are big for me. Normally I generally make my decisions based on the images in a set, and how much use I would get out of them. For this release though I’m loving the Mother set! No images and would only use once a year, but I absolutely must have that set!

I love that the images can be mixed with other sets. The fact that they all build together like an endless puzzle.
    WONDERFUL!

I am interested in everything you do! Oh, I have to choose LOL I guess I must say I focus on images as opposed to sentiments. I need more sentiments and am ever shopping for the perfect sentiments but I spend a lot more on images – it must be I am more drawn to them.

Thank you so very much for the opportunity. I hope you have continued success in your fantastic company!!

It depends on what I am doing. I love sentiments and it seems that when I sit down to stamp that I am always in need of something that I don’t currently have. I am attracted to images. My problem is that I am attracted to usually one or two in a set and can’t rationalize spending the cash for the whole set. Am I too picky or just frugal?

Initially, I am usually intrigued by images and fonts. But, while I am choosing which ones to order first, I try to pick ones that I can use for multiple crafts, such as scrapbooking, card making, gifts, etc..

I like stamp sets that have sentiments that express the true meaning of the celebration for which the card is being made. I look for stamp sets that are versatile and can be used for more than one specific occasion.

I’m really drawn to the extreme versatility of PTI’s sets, how every set magically works with the other; the backgrounds sets & decorative images that can be used to create complimentary backgrounds or decorative papers so we can create the perfect anything. PTI’s entire team should be very proud of what you’ve accomplished!

I look for unique images… images that I can see myself using again and again. I also like sentiments that feel like something that I would say… and a cool font doesn’t hurt! 🙂

My favorite is Guide Lines Two! Such a great set. I like image sets with sentiments that co-ordinate with them the most of all as I am a card maker 90% of the time. My favorite styles are elegant, but still clean and fresh and I love animal sets! I need more sets with sentiments to go inside of the card.

Can I add that Raspberry Fizz is the most beautiful color and it totally rocks! I love love love it!

I like stamp sets that can be used in multiple ways – as a background, a focal point, or part of a tag. I’m also looking for masculine designs and sentiments for my boys. I’m drawn toward sets with basic geometric shapes (like stars and straight lines)and that can fit with a distressed look.

I adore that they can be interchanged, mixed and matxhed! That makes them som much more versatile and versatility is my main concern when I look for new stamps.
That and originality. You’ve got both.

My fave is the Mega Mixed Messages because I’d probably never have to buy a sentiment set again…! 😀

I know I am late, but I had to answer this one LOL! I am drawn in by the samples and projects that I want to recreate. I love the themed projects that you have all of the designers do. I love the projects you put together like the card set that show price and function. It motivates me to get creative and start thinking ahead so I have the time to make a gift rather than running to a store.

    It’s a good life!
