Definitely thread…especially with so many people stitching on their cards and scrapbook pages. That’s awesome. Now, when will you start offering fabric?

now that i have read through comments, buttons makes a lot of sense, although to be honest I first thought: “are they doing sewing machines?” Yes I am a bit S.L.O.W. and horrible at this hint stuff. but boy oh boy am I excited for this anniversary!!!!
January 30, 2009 at 12:43 PM
I’m voting for embroidery floss. Even though I am a major button addict. But the clue is more like thread, not so much like buttons.
January 30, 2009 at 12:45 PM
Or pushpins!!! Beautiful pushpins! They’ve become pretty popular in the last time.
January 30, 2009 at 12:48 PM
Gosh. Nannie didn’t have a craft basket, per se, but she did have the sewing one which did contain buttons and embroidery floss (there are 2 good ideads!).
Nichole, you’re killing us- lol!

I think it is cool to see that picture…that is almost exactly like my sewing machine! I think mine is 1944? My grandfather gave it to me when I was 18 and I have made many many creations with it, although I really am not a sewer..just exciting for me to see the picture!
Okay I would also think along the lines of buttons or thread, as it seems that all grandma’s had a thread box and a button box!

#1 staple in a sewing box = Thread (Since we all enjoy sewing on our cards, that would be super fun especially for me since I cannot just walk into ANY craft store)
