It’s that time again! Another Guest Star Stamper contest has concluded, and BOY was the competition tough! It was so difficult to narrow it down to just one winner, especially in the *Best Use of an Older Set* category! First…
The Winners:
Cindy (myosotis) created a wonderful welcome home surprise for someone
special, winning her first place in the "Best Housewarming/ Welcome Home Gift"! This card, with it’s soothing yellow & blue color scheme,
hold a token for breakfast in bed inside! Now wouldn’t I like to
receive THAT after getting home from a business trip! Cindy was on a roll this month! Make sure you take a close look at some of the other projects of hers that I highlighted below!
Regan D’Agostino came up with this AMAZING seed presentation project which won her first place in the category of "Best Use of Set Released Before May 2008". I am so in love with
her use of Just Hatched! Not only would this be great for Easter, but
what a fun thing for weddings!!! (Regan, hopefully you can share a
template on your blog!!!)
Julie Masse
created this beautiful Anniversary card, pairing two birds on one
branch, creating a lovely couple! This project won her first place for "Best Use of Birds of a Feather"! I loved the color scheme as well. She also used a fun mirror image technique to achieve this look with one of the birds from this set! So clever!
Now onto the Honorable Mentions!
Best Use of Birds of a Feather
Meredith Brown made this fun Halloween card using the adorable
"Trick or Tweet" sentiment from this set. I loved how she paired
everything with the Father’s Knows Best Paper Collection!
………………………………………………………………………
Emilia used a beautiful purple color combination with a few
different breeds of birds to create this fun little card. I love how
it looks like they are just a bunch of close friends, hanging out and
singing a song!
………………………………………………………………………
Kristy made this color-blocked card that is so fresh and crisp. I
love how she used her colors in succession from lightest to darkest.
This layout would look fabulous not only in other colors, but other
images as well.

Best Housewarming/Welcome Home Gift
Carolyn King came up with the idea of utilizing the townhouse as a key chain. I think the image worked perfectly for this purpose!
………………………………………………………………………
Wendy Weixler made this fun name frame as a housewarming gift. I
loved her bold color scheme and the inclusion of the perfect quote! I
am sure the recipient was thrilled!
……………………………………………………………………..
Heather Jackman was REALLY creative and not only decorated a gift
bag as a welcome home surprise, she also stamped on a balloon! I love
how it turned out and can only image hundreds of other possibilities!
………………………………………………………………………
Cindy (myosotis) also made this housewarming coaster set. I loved how she
created a matching gift box for the set and the color scheme is just
divine!

Best Use of Set Released Before May 2008
Michele Hetland created this stunning stationery set complete with a
clever folder. I am in love with the color scheme along with the
design of her folder. Her use of Garden of Life is just amazing!
Perhaps if we beg enough, we can get her to share a template!
………………………………………………………………………
Cindy (myosotis) took my breath away with this card using Green Thumb, one of my favorite golden oldies from our collection!
………………………………………………………………………
Diana also used Green Thumb and put together this simple little
project, creating the illusion of water droplets from the water can by
using paper piercing! So clean & simple!
………………………………………………………………………
Claire Brenan pulled out one of last year’s holiday releases, Snowflake Serenade, to
create this beautiful card. I love how she combined & layered a
few different snowflakes from the set to create a large focal point
image!
……………………………………………………………………..
Verna made this INCREDIBLE table cloth using Out on a Limb. I loved
how she was inspired by her vintage china. Think about how you could
personalize something like this for yourself? What about your
grandmother’s china?
………………………………………………………………………
Charmaine Ikach
though to make this colorful *picture pot*. I love the colors of it
and also how practical it is for displaying photos in one’s home. It
would make a lovely gift for someone in the hospital. They wouldn’t
need to water it and they can look at the flowers along with familiar
faces!
………………………………………………………………………
Kristy created this cheerful card suing Out on a Limb. I
loved her summer sunrise & spring moss color combo. If you click
to enlarge, you will also see that she sprinkled a few tiny butterflies
from Butterfly Kisses using lemon tart!
………………………………………………………………………
Jennifer Buck
used last year’s Halloween release, Spooky Sweets, to make this fun
little treat ensemble. I am in LOVE with the glittered polka dots!
………………………………………………………………………
Kimberly Crawford pulled out Bitty Baby Blessings to make this
adorable little boy card. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw
the eyelet & stitching detail she created! Just awesome!
