It’s already Day 3! The countdown always goes so fast, doesn’t it?

This month we’re introducing a new sentiment series that I am over the moon about. Our new This is Big Sentiments Stamp Set and die combines one large focal sentiment with tons of coordinating phrases. And since there are so many ways to celebrate, now you have the exact right sentiment for any occasion.

It’s wonderous, especially for those of us who are sentiment-challenged!

 

Brenda’s shading on her Celebrate die cut is gorgeous!  What a fun ombré effect, transitioning from dark to light.  This is an easy and simple technique that makes you look like a pro! Use markers or simply sponge ink over the surface area to achieve this effect.

I love how Brenda used the Love to Layer: Arches die cut behind her Zinnias and sentiments.  It adds such a soft, translucent effect, doesn’t it?

How Wonderful You Are Card

SUPPLY LIST:

STAMPS: This is Big Sentiments: Celebrate

INK: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Hibiscus Burst, Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise

PAPER:  Stamper’s Select White, Sweet Blush, Lemon Tart, Spring Moss

TIPS:

  • Stamp your sentiment stamps onto the background with a pale ink to create an interesting background and reinforce the theme of your card.
  • Die-cut the sentiment several times from heavyweight cardstock and adhere them behind your die-cut sentiment to add stability and make it stand out.
  • Add color to your die-cut sentiment with alcohol markers or ink in the same colors as your flowers for a cohesive look.

 

 

Notice the shading on Brenda’s Zinnias…they look so realistic.  I’m going to try adding the darkest shade to the centers of the flowers, working out to lighter shades of color, just as Brenda has done here.

Seeka is the master at designing cards that are simple and clean, but still look complex and beautiful. This card makes me want to retire and sit on a porch looking at that amazing view.

After using our Incredible Views Stencil Collection, she simply added her This is Big: Celebrate sentiment using foam adhesive to make it pop and lift it from her card base.

  18. LOVE the This Is Big Sentiments series! “Celebrate” is one of the most versatile sentiments I use ~ so I keep getting the larger dies. This one might be my all time fave. 🙂 Brenda’s beautiful Zinnia cards are amazing, I have to have those florals!

    We don’t celebrate the everyday like we should and I am definitely going to incorporate this sentiment in my everyday card sending..
