Hi everybody, welcome to our next episode of The Great Cover-Up! Svitlana will be your guide today!
Let’s get started!
Mason Jars from the Spook-tacular Halloween Kit are perfect to make all kind of cute (or scary) characters for your cards or paper projects. I used the biggest one to make a cute witch.
I blended the Wilted Violet Distress Ink onto a white jar die-cut, added water splatters for texture and black sparkle embossing in the top part (for the witch “hair). Then I added the eyes and smile to it.
The witch hat I die-cut out of a black cardstock and covered with the same black sparkle embossing powder. Doing the same for the jar lid after that. Next I wrapped violet jute twine around the hat and lid.
I went through the stash of my floral stamp set, picked up a couple which look the “spookier” and used stamps and dies from the sets to make black and violet floral elements to place into the jar.
To add some interest to the background I embossed it using the Weathered Wood Background and embossing powder of off-white color. Lastly I added a couple of sparkle black spider webs and several spiders.
