Join Laurie Schmidlin today as she uses a bit more nontraditional colors on autumn themed projects.
“Fall is my absolute favorite season! I love everything about it, especially the warm and cozy colors. Sometimes, though, I like to shake things up a little. I like to take the traditional Autumn colors and choose their pastel version. Today I’m sharing a couple of cards that I created using pastel Fall colors combined with some shiny gold. The result is refreshing with a touch of a modern feel. I hope you will stop by and see how I created traditional Fall cards with nontraditional colors!”

Woke up needing a pumpkin card to thank relatives who stopped by yesterday, as they are from the Pumpkin capital of the world and were visiting WI to see the fall leaves of Door County. And awoke to Laurie ‘s post with the perfect inspiration for a fall card using pumpkins! Just lovely inspiration Laurie!! Thank you!

Laurie always adds such nice touches to her cards – like gold splatters or combining softer versions of the traditional colors. Love both of her cards today – both are gorgeous and elegant.

These are so pretty! I am at a loss when working with non-traditional colors, for any season. ?
