Welcome to Simple to Spectacular!
Who doesn’t love a simple, classic sugar cookie? But then you icing and it gets even sweeter and more decadent. And then you pop on some sprinkles and suddenly it’s a party! The idea of this feature will be to show how a single stamp set can be used to create a card from clean and simple to downright fabulous with a few extra layers and embellishments.
We have a few designers participating today and they each have three progressive card designs to share using the Tea For Two stamp set. Enjoy!
“Tea For Two is a great stamp set for a variety of occasions – a reminder to “sip & relax” is often just what we need to hear. I was particularly excited to take the polka dot teapot for this Simple to Spectacular spin, pairing it with something new – and plaid! As always, i stayed true to my typical clean and graphic style on all three takes, each one a little more involved than the last. From simple to stepped up to spectacular, I used the same stamps, colors, and basic layout. Stop by my blog to read more about the design and color inspiration.”

“It’s officially Fall now, and the temperatures have taken a turn in that direction in our neck of the woods. I was so inspired by a little vignette of Fall-ish antiques I’d pulled together for some photos recently, that I decided to use that as my inspiration for this trio of Tea For Two thank you cards….after all, Fall is the perfect time for a cup of tea, right?! I’m always needing more thank yous, and the sweet little tea pots from Tea For Two can be paired with lots of other stamps you might have in your arsenal, to create all sorts of cards! Pair those tea pots with some pretty Fall florals and a chalkboard background and you’ve got a recipe for some lovely thank yous with a beautiful Autumn twist!”

“Pulling out the Tea For Two stamp set to create for this Simple to Spectacular challenge was a delight. I am a tea drinker myself and one of my favorite things about tea are all of the fun colored teapots that are out there. I stamped some bright and fun turquoise colored teapots and took my card design from something pretty simple all the way up to adding all of the fun details and extras.”

LOVE all the gorgeous inspiration!!
Tea for Two was the stamp set that led me to seek out PTI. I think Erin Lincoln used it way back in maybe 2008 or 2009 and I had to find it! I thought it was so beautiful. Still do! Thanks for highlighting it again with Simple to Spectacular, I so enjoyed it.
Great new ways to use this lovely stamp set!
