11th Anniversary Day 9: February Release Day 4 + Designer Workspace Challenge

February 13, 2018      Papertrey Ink      Leave a Comment

Today’s post is in full bloom from beginning to end! Rebecca Luminarias has a new collection of stamps, dies, and tags that will make it easy to surprise someone special with an unexpected bouquet. We’re also introducing a seasonal botanical set by Lizzie Jones that embraces budding signs of Spring. Take a peek at today’s features!

There’s nothing quite like the gift of flowers.  Whether they be fresh or made from paper, they bring instant cheer.  The tulip imagery and thoughtful phrases in the You Deserve Flowers stamp set offer the chance to take your flower-giving to the next level.  Mix and match tulip blooms, stems, and leaves to create small accents for tags or multi-colored backgrounds for cards.  With a focus on kindness, cheer, and praising another’s self-worth, the sentiments in the set can be used for any occasion, not just giving flowers.

Available for purchase February 15th. CLICK HERE for further product details.

These oversized sentiment dies coordinate with the “You Deserve Flowers” stamp set.  “Flowers” has a corresponding stamp in the set, perfect for stamping or coloring with watercolors or markers.  While “hello” and “for you” do not have matching stamps, they share the same fonts and themes as some of the stamps in the set, and are large enough to create quick and simple tags or cards with minimal supplies.

Available for purchase February 15th. CLICK HERE for further product details.

Here is another essential tag set from Paper & Package.  The You Deserve Flowers Scalloped Tag die collection offers 4 different sized tags to cover all of your creative needs.  Layer them together or use them separately on projects large and small.  These dies are also sized to coordinate with the “You Deserve Flowers” stamp set.

Available for purchase February 15th. CLICK HERE for further product details.

Are you looking for a fun shape to break the mold of tag-making?  This cute Large Tulip Tag die is just what you need!  Use it as a gift tag with a bouquet or vase of flowers, tie it onto a spring or Easter present, or use it as an accent on a greeting card.  It coordinates with the “You Deserve Flowers” stamp set, with many of the sentiments and all of the floral images fitting its surface.

Available for purchase February 15th. CLICK HERE for further product details.

As the weather warms and the earth comes alive after a long winter, little pops of green dot the landscape. Snowdrops, Lily of the Valley, and unfurling ferns are some of the first harbingers of spring. Forest Floor: Spring eagerly embraces their arrival! This set includes flowering botanicals, a charming frame, and a handful of sentiments ideal for springtime occasions and beyond. Pair these images with the coordinating dies to create projects with dimension and style.

Now that we’ve made all of the formal introductions, let’s get onto the projects!

Rebecca Luminarias is featuring the You Deserve Flowers collection

Rebecca used pops of glittery metallic paper to give this card a touch of chic whimsy. The layered ribbons and trims she used add such a unique, modern boho feeling!
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: You Deserve Flowers
  • INK: Tropical Teal, Sweet Blush
  • PAPER: Tropical Teal, White
  • DIES: You Deserve Flowers Sentiments, Scalloped Tags
  • OTHER: Glitter paper, trims
Rebecca’s choice of layered lace gives this project a special romantic flair. Using so many textile elements – the ribbons, lace, and twine – add delicate texture while the contemporary color palette keeps things feeling fresh.
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: You Deserve Flowers
  • INK: Berry Sorbet, Limeade Ice, Sweet Blush
  • PAPER: True Black, White, Berry Sorbet
  • DIES: You Deserve Flowers Sentiments, Scalloped Tags
  • OTHER: Sweet Blush Grosgrain Ribbon, lace, twine, seam binding

It’s never a bad idea to have a handful of tags at the ready for those times when you want to surprise a friend with an unexpected treat. Rebecca’s bright color palette makes these tags super cheerful and sure to bring someone special a great big smile.
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: You Deserve Flowers
  • INK: Royal Velvet, Bright Buttercup, Lilac Grace, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush
  • PAPER: White
  • DIES: Large Tulip Tag, Scalloped Tags
  • OTHER: Sweet Blush Grosgrain Ribbon, crochet thread

Ashley Cannon Newell is featuring Forest Floor: Spring

Ashley paired the woodland style of the Mix & Mat: Plaid die with the new Forest Floor: Spring blooms and they’re a fabulous match! By layering a white die cut layer on a white card base, Ashley really gave the flowers the spotlight while also making her design feel dimensional and interesting.
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Forest Floor: Spring
  • INK: Smokey Shadow, Harvest Gold, Sweet Blush, Simply Chartreuse, Green Parakeet, Limeade Ice
  • PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
  • DIES: Forest Floor: Spring, Mix & Mat: Plaid

It can sometimes be tricky to represent white flowers in our paper crafted projects. Ashley solved that issue by heat embossing her blooms on a neutral-colored card base. Don’t be afraid to use colorful cardstock to make those snowy white blossoms pop!
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Forest Floor: Spring
  • INK: Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse, Classic Kraft, Smokey Shadow, Versamark
  • PAPER: Kraft, True Black
  • DIES: Forest Floor Spring, Tag Sale: Quilted

Ashley used the Lily Of The Valley leaves in an unconventional way, using an array of bright colors paired with a bold, black sentiment panel. Her card is fresh and vibrant with the leaves reading more as graphic elements than botanicals. What an exceptional way to think outside the box!
Supplies:
  • STAMPS: Forest Floor: Spring
  • INK: Scarlet Jewel, Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Winter Wisteria, Amethyst Allure, Versamark
  • PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, True Black
  • DIES: Forest Floor: Spring
