By August 27, 2015Stamp-a-faire

We hope you are all as excited as we are about our upcoming online stamping event, Stamp-a-faire 2015! If you haven't joined us before, it is a fantastic FREE online stamping event that brings stampers together worldwide!  We will be posting videos and challenges all day long and you can participate in as few or as many as you like!  There will be lots of gift certificates given away as prizes, so you won't want to miss out on a single minute of the big day!

The festivities kick off tomorrow (Friday) morning at 7am EST when the Design Team shares all of their creations using the Limited Edition Fashion Sense set.  This stylish set gives a nod to some of the fashion industry's biggest icons.  Add something completely fresh and fun to your stamping collection with the addition of Fashion Sense.  The quotes selected are not only fantastic to pair with the fashion sketch, but they also convey great messages that will be perfect for many of your card recipients.  The fashion sketch can be stamped in a bold neutral and then you can have fun "designing" your own gowns as you add accents and custom color schemes to the model's attire.  Just wait until you see what the team has created with it!

Fashion Sense will ONLY be available on Stamp-a-faire day to all customers who make a qualifying $100 purchase. All orders made between 7am EST and 11:30pm EST on Stamp-a-faire Day (August 29, 2015) that total $100 (before shipping) will receive the set for FREE!  You will still earn Rewards Points on your order too, so it's an amazing offer!  We will be doing a major die restock early that morning for your shopping convenience.  Nearly ALL stamp sets should be in stock as well.  You can see a list of the dies that will be restocked HERE.  If you have any additional specific restock questions, be sure to contact customer service.

Be sure to join us on Friday night for a fun online party you won't want to miss!  We challenged all of you to alter white t-shirts with your favorite paper crafting supplies and share them with us that night!

Have you started yours yet?  All customers who participate have a chance at winning some Papertrey Gift Certificates!  So why not show us your skills so you can shorten your wish list?!?!

The actual Stamp-a-faire event kicks off bright and early at 7am EST on Saturday!  There will be video challenges ALL day long!  So prepare to set the whole day a side for a little crafty time just for YOU!  Be sure to share your photos all weekend long using #stampafaire2015.  You just might end up featured on our red carpet at the end of the event!

You can check out all the details of Stamp-a-ffaire as well as a complete supply list HERE.

A few of the designers have added some additional notes regarding their challenges, including some things you can do early to prepare for the event!
From Erin, Preparing for the Felt Necklaces
Be sure to have embroidery floss on hand that matches the felt colors you plan to use for your project.
From Danielle, A Few Extra Supplies
These are not required, but I do use them in the projects I share…
  • Circle punch or circle die- any size
  • Leaf dies
  • Hot glue gun or Beacon Fabric Tac (fabric quick-drying glue)
  • Small enamel dots, gems, or pearls
  • Buttons with 4 holes (or the Button Up stamp set and dies will work also)
From Maile, Getting a Head Start on Wooden Bangles
Supplies needed:
  • Large Pot
  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Drinking Glasses, Jars, or Mugs (with openings as big as the size you desire your bracelets to be)
How to:
Fill a large pot with water (more water the better since it will hold its heat longer after boiling), place your Popsicle sticks into the pot, and bring the water to a boil.  Make sure the sticks are fully submerged.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the sticks soak for at least 30 minutes.  After this time, the sticks will be pliable enough to form.  Do so gently by bending slightly as you move from the top of the stick to the bottom, and then bend enough to fit the stick into the top of your glass cup, jar, or mug.  Then let them dry overnight.
Here are a coupe tips I've found helpful, I hope they help you out!  If you have them, the rim of a pint sized Mason jars is the perfect size for making bracelets for a small wrist.  Also, don't expect every Popsicle stick to turn out, some will break and be unusable.  It's just part of the process.  Have fun preparing for the big event and I can't wait to seeing what you all come up with!
From Melissa, A Few Extra Supplies
These things are not essential, but they are supplies I incorporated into my projects…
  • Felt
  • Small Flower die
  • Ribbon
  • Double Ended Banners die

We look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow!!!
