Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Gold Hello Card

One thing I love about the new Luxe Foil Patterned Papers is how EASY they make paper crafting!  All you need to do is add a few embellishments and a sentiment and you're done!  The effect is elegant and effortless!

Closeup

I die-cut a few Sketched Stars from the new Luxe Gold Adhesive Sheet, which allowed me to just peel and stick!  The gold color of the adhesive sheets matches the foil used on the papers.  Same goes for the silver versions too!

Down

I used the Wonderful Words: Hello die-cut with a few layers of our coasters to get a thick chipboard looking accent, then die-cut a final layer with the Luxe Gold Adhesive Sheet.  I love that I can create my own metallic die-cut phrases now!  So much more inexpensive!  As a final step, I adhered everything to a Raspberry Fizz card base.

Happy Life Card

My next project uses the new Luxe Silver Cardstock.  The new metallic cardstocks are a matte finish for when you don't want as much shine.  Let me tell you, this stuff is a dream to work with!  It die-cuts like butter and the effect you get with impression plates is just magical.  Here I have used the Woodgrain impression plate with it, and the results are stunning.

Detail

I die-cut the word "happy" using the Bookprint Alphabet dies and white cardstock.  I then stamped this "life" circle from Get Lost onto white cardstock in Simply Chartreuse ink, punching it out with a 5/8" circle punch.  I added it to the center of the "p" using foam tape.  A few scattered adhesive gems finish it off.

Down

I know you will love the subtle matte shine of this paper!  Now take a look at what some of the other team members have created with this new metallics lineup!

Metallics are a bit outside of my comfort zone, so it is good for me to see them featured in beautiful PTI fashion to give me that extra boost of confidence to use them. I love the look of the Luxe Foil Patterned Paper sets. How nice to have some of that on hand for celebrating silver or golden anniversaries.

I can’t believe that the Anniversary falls on my birthday every year so it’s like a huge fun week for me with my husband even asking me yesterday if I was placing my birthday order. And SAF this year is in our Anniversay, so unless he is wishing me away to a tropical paradise I guess you all know how I’ll be spending my Anniversary! Serves him right for reminding me yesterday we have been together more then half my life! Of course I wouldny change that for anything!

I’m not usually a gold and silver type crafter except for around the holidays. When I do use silver, which is my preference, I usually use a matte finish type of card stock, therefore I am most interested in the matte card stock that will be for sale soon. I am intrigued with the metallic self sticking paper. I think I might have to give that a try! All today’s projects were beautiful! For jewelry and home decor, I’m drawn much more to silver, but find I rarely add it to my crafting projects because it has such a cool appearance. Gold is much warmer.

I use metallics as a hint of color and not usually the main color. Gold embossed sentiments with gold brads or embellishments. The gold can actually stand out more if there is less of it. I use the “less is more” action with metallics.

I have to admit, I don’t use metallics a lot in my card-making. If I do use it, it’s for embossing. I love all of the metallic products you showed today. I’ll probably start with some of the luxe cardstock (both silver and gold because I’m bad at making decisions!).
