He has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s for over 11 years and continued to stay employed by his company until this past week.
His PD is catching up and this week he was reluctantly let go. At 69, he still sees himself as ‘young’, so

If I could hug someone right now it would be my good friend Sarah. Sarah and I have been friends since high school. Her and her husband are missionaries to children .They have 4 of their own children and adopted a boy from Korea when he was little who had several disabilities. He was just diagnosed with brain cancer. She lives in Kentucky and I love in Canada. I would love to give her a big hug today.

I know sounds crazy, but she did. Not only would I love to hug her but to hear her life stories. I can’t imagine living thru all the changes the world has seen.

I’ve got most of my family nearby and can give them hugs anytime I want. So when I saw the question my first thought was that I wanted to give a hug to a person who needed it the most. I would say to a mom who has just lost her child, whether the child was unborn or 70. I can’t imagine the heartache that would bring a parent.

I would give the world a hug and ask everyone to do the same. Hugs can help in more situations than you think. Some don’t have family near or none at all, some just need to know that someone cares. Everyone needs to send a hug card to everyone they can, and tell them they are loved. The way things are going in this world of horrible things happening, we definitely need to give hugs to anyone we can and tell them they are loved!!

My grandma. She lives in Indianapolis and I live in Omaha and I miss her every day. It’s a long drive and one I feel I don’t get to make often enough. She’s an amazing, sweet, wonderful lady and I am so lucky she’s my grandma!

If I could hug one person it would be my dad. He passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2010, right before I graduated from nursing school. I miss him every day. This time of year is hard also b/c his birthday would have been on 12/24.

They are away from home at a specialty clinic, and should have been back last week, but one final test has been delayed. I think she could really use a hug today!

And in the interest of full disclosure, I DID get to hug her today, as she and her husband left after a weekend visit. So part of my wish has already come true.
