Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Wonderful Year Tag

My first project is an easy little tag that is made from the Monthly Moments: Instant Photo 2 die.  All of the products sized for the Monthly Moments product line are the perfect size for gift tags!  I die-cut the frame from Pure Poppy cardstock.

Sentiment

This gorgeous sentiment is one of many included in the new Season's Greetings set from Dawn McVey.  I heat embossed it at the bottom of the tag using White Filigree Embossing Powder.

Twine

I added a mini clothespin and baker's twine at the top of the tag.

Deer

I used a block of white cardstock behind the frame which was stamped with the deer image (from Santa's Sleigh) and colored with Copic markers.  Isn't he just the sweetest!  I think I will be making several of these to tie onto my holiday gifts this year!

Happy Christmas Card

My next project uses the Santa scene from the Santa's Sleigh set!  It reminds me of illustrations from some of my favorite Christmas books!

Coloring

The image was colored with Copic markers.  There are lots of opportunity to add pops of color, even with all of the white snow!

Sparkle

After I was finished coloring, I added a bit of shimmer with a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Sentiment

I cut a banner from Pure Poppy cardstock and heat embossed this sentiment, also from Santa's Sleigh, with White Filigree Embossing Powder.  I curved the banner a bit with my fingertips and only adhered the ends, allowing the center to curve upwards slightly.

Down

I used the Cover Plate: Cheveron Horizontal cut from white cardstock to jazz up the front of the card base.  Such a sweet little Christmas greeting that would surely bring a smile to the recipient's face!

Ombre Christmas Card

Next, a little something with untraditional holiday colors!

Background

I used a few die-cut Circle Scribbles on the background to add movement and texture.

Sentiment

Another beautiful sentiment from Season's Greetings was used here.  I heat embossed it onto white cardstock and then sponged Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Hibiscus Burst over it, fading the colors together to create an ombre effect.

Thread

The top edge of the sentiment block was trimmed with pinking shears and tied with a bit of gold thread for a more festive look!

Christmas & New Year Window Card

Take a look at Lizzie's new Text Block: Christmas die!  *happy sigh*  Isn't it just STUNNING!

Window

I die-cut the text block from a piece of white cardstock cut just slightly smaller than A2.  After poking out all of the pieces, I adhered both section to a clear cardstock base, creating a window card.  I also added a block of Aqua Mist cardstock to the back cover of the clear card.

Stars

I cut several stars using the new Shaker Shapes: Circle dies (more about these later in the week!).  Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse and Ocean Tides were the cardstock colors I selected for this.  Some of the stars were adhered with bits of foam tape and some directly to the card front with 2-way glue.

Down

I added tiny rhinestones to the centers of each of the stars for a bit of holiday sparkle!

Watercolor Deer Card

For my last card, I just had to make another project using the sweet deer image!

Deer

I watercolored it this time, using ink refills.  I love how fast it is to watercolor and how you don't need to worry about staying in the lines!  Note the white spots around his tail, these were added after the watercoloring had dries with a white gel pen.

Sentiment

I added one of my favorite sentiments in the new Keep It Simple: Season's Greetings set in True Black ink underneath the deer image.

Down

A strip of striped Scarlet Jewel paper was added to the bottom of the Classic Kraft card base.
