Holiday projects usually involve mass producing and this beautiful trees set offers you easy to use, multi-step stamps that will make your projects a breeze.  You will love being able to create cards and tags that feature images in multiple colors.  The recipients will surely be impressed with your gorgeous designs!

By popular demand, we bring you a special holiday edition of hand painted sentiments!  Achieve lots of variations for many occasions with the smaller companion sentiments. The large scale of these words will make it easy to create projects with a lot of visual interest and pop!

Phrase-Play-8-die

This is the eighth in a series of small sentiment sets designed to coordinate with a stylish, trendy phrase frame die.  These particular sentiments finish the die-cut word "Joy", giving you lots of design options.  The size of the coordinating die-cut phrase frame will also work well with our Monthly Moments series!

The Details:

  • Phrase Play #8 will be available for purchase on September 15th.
  • It will retail for $5.
  • Phrase Play #8 contains a total of 12 images.  "Birthday" measures 1-3/4" x 3/8".  "Christmas" measures 1-5/8" x 1/4".  "Always choose" measures 1-3/4" x 1/4".  "You bring me" measures 2" x 1/4".  "Peace love" measures 1-1/4" x 5/8".

Stitched-Frame-dies

This stitched frame collection was designed by Erin Lincoln to allow you to make Christmas ornaments, featuring a photo or other image/quote.  You can also use the block with a stitching hole grid to embroider your own designs.  The frame ends up being polaroid style so you can add a stitched word or year underneath the opening.

Not only can you add this stitched hanger by Erin Lincoln to the back of the Stitched Frame, you can also add it to lots of the stitched shapes to create gorgeous custom ornaments.

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Peace on Earth Card

My first card today is super simple, but has a modern elegance to it.  Very easy to mass produce and could easily be adapted to a tag design as well.

Tree

I stamped this modern tree from O'Tannenbaum in Aqua Mist and then added the seperate sparkle tree topper image in Perfect Medium and brushed gold Perfect Pearls over it.

Peace

The Wet Paint Holiday peace die was cut from Gold Shimmer cardstock, pressed into the Perfect Medium pad and brushed with gold Perfect Pearls as well.  It was mounted onto the card front with foam tape and the companion sentiment added underneath in Charcoal Palette ink.

Down

Everything was mounted onto an Aqua Mist card base.

Christmas 2014 Card

This project uses another of the tree designs from O'Tannenbaum, a more traditional evergreen.  With it's three layers of images, you can have a lot of fun playing around with color.

Shimmer

I stamped the ornaments first in Raspberry Fizz, followed by Simply Chartreuse for the main tree and finally, Tropical Teal for the exterior dots.  The star at the top and base are added in Summer Sunrise.

Sentiment strip

A strip of Hawaiian Shores cardstock was stamped with one of the Christmas sentiments from Keep It Simple: Christmas in Tropical Teal.

Year

I used the new Stitched Years die to die-cut this stylish "2014" underneath the tree.  I love the detail that this added!  And how great these dies look even without stitching!

Down

A simple single layer card that would be a great choice for mass producing as well!  That's one of the great things about these multi-step images!

O'Tannenbaum Card

Now for a card inspired by the classic "Blue Christmas" song!

Tree

This is the same tree used in the card above, but takes on a completely different look when done in a monochromatic scheme.  The ornament layer was stamped first and heat embossed in silver.  Then the main tree was added in Blueberry Sky, followed by the exterior dots in Enchanted Evening.

Star

To keep things easy for mass producing, I added one of those silver star stickers from a package found in the teacher supply section of the office store.  You know the kind, red, blue, green and gold all on the same sheet!  Super cheap too!

Sentiment

I added this "O'Tannenbaum" sentiment at a slight angle and heat embossed it as well.

Down

The frame was added using a ruler and a white gel pen.  Everything was mounted onto an Enchanted Evening card base.

Happiness and Cheer Card

This card was inspired by the classic pink & red stripes on a candy cane!

Tree

 

This tree from O'Tannenbaum has more of a homespun feel to it and also features multiple steps for lots of color options.  I stamped the branches, pot and top star in Pure Poppy.  The boughs in Pinefeather and the stars in Berry Sorbet.  A few clear gem stickers in two different sizes were added as well.

Sentiment

This gorgeous sentiment from Season's Greetings was stamped in Pure Poppy onto a block of Berry Sorbet cardstock.

Bow

I notched either side of the card and wrapped it with baker's twine, finishing it with a bow at the side.

Down

A Pure Poppy card base finishes it off.

Homespun Holiday Wishes Card

Here is the same tree stamped in more traditional "homespun" colors!

Tree closeup

The tree uses Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewel, Summer Sunrise and Ocean Tides.  A few snowflakes (from Two Feet Deep), were added around the tree with Fresh Snow ink.  A few dots with a white gel pen provide the finishing details.

Down

The sentiment (also from O'Tannenbaum) was added in Fresh Snow ink as well.  Everything was adhered to a Ripe Avocado card base.

Christmas Joy Card

Phrase Play #8 is another great addition to this series!  It is fantastic for both holiday projects and year-round use!  Let me show you how!

Sponging

I die-cut the Phrase Play #8 frame from white cardstock and adhered it to a white card front, almost giving it the look of an embossing folder look.  I used a sponge dauber to rub Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf inks over the frame, helping to bring out the design.  I added a few stamped stars using an image from O'Tannenbaum and New Leaf ink.  The companion "Christmas" sentiment was stamped in Tropical Teal within the frame.

Stars

I die-cut a couple stars from Tropical Teal cardstock and adhered them with foam tape.

Down

Not only does this make a quick and easy holiday card, but it could also be easily adapted to a tag!

Always Choose Joy Card

Here is the same frame used for a card that could be sent any time of the year to brighten someone's day!

Frame

I die-cut the frame three times from white cardstock and adhered them together.  The card front was stamped with Ombre Builders using Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse.  The frame was adhered at an angle to provide some contrast to the horizontal stripes.

Stamped sentiment

The companion sentiment "always choose" was added in True Black.

Down

Thsi design could be applied to any of the other companion sentiments too!

Stitched Photo Ornament

Last but not least, I have a special holiday ornament I made using the fabulous new stitching dies from Erin Lincoln!  I die-cut the main part of the frame layers from Limeade Ice felt.

Hanger

The hanger was cut from Pure Poppy felt.

Hanger back

And stitched to the back of the ornament before stitching the Limeade Ice layers together.

Buttons

I used some leaf dies from Happiness in Bloom along with Simply Chartreuse felt to create a holiday sprig at the top of the frame.  A few Pure Poppy buttons complete the center of the detail.

Noel

I used the new Stitched Holiday Words "Noel" die to pre-cut the holes for adding the embroidered word to the bottom of my frame.

The ornament hangers are my favorite out of today’s ‘stitched’ crop and O Tannenbaum – O, what can I say?!? So many gorgeous tree shapes and sizes.   149. Just when I’m sure that I should never buy another Christmas set again, you come out with the perfect set, O’Tannenbaum. The trees (but of course) are fabulous shapes, but the details (in and around the trees) will start a major trend in stamping. You still do multi-step stamping better than anyone, and they are usually among my favorites. Your tree cards are all stunning.

    Erin has certainly done right by her stitching dies. Those were a stroke of genius. The words are my favorite dies so far.

    Aren’t you happy that Betsy starting designing, and I’m thrilled to see she has a la carte items now. Come on release day.

How elegant and just adds one more homemade detail to a gift enabling one to show the time put into the wrapping (if I were to receive such a gift with these tags I would realize the love spent on preparing it)
