My pink and black trash can. It is really a decorative flower pot with a plastic liner that contained a petite rose bush that my husband gave me for Valentine’s Day. It makes me happy every time I see it. The rose bush now lives outside in the garden and is happy, too.

One of the last pictures taken of my parents together before they passed away. It makes me happy and sad to have it there – happy for the wonderful years we had together and sad that they are no longer here.
My three tiered metal basket. It holds all of my most used, well loved crafting supplies. Ink pads, blending tools, adhesives, scissors, twine…things likes that.

Not exactly on my desk but above it- a board with quotes and sketches for inspiration but most importantly photos of my parents (who have passed) and my husband and kids.

Air. Seriously – the open space where nothing is allowed so that I am able to sit & papercraft any time the fancy takes me makes me happy even when I’m not using it. In a tiny house with 4 dogs & 2 teens, dedicated space is a luxury.
My ink organizer! Love looking up and being able to find just what I need. So handy:-)

Right now my favorite item is a big, steaming mug of coffee, but once I finish that, it would be my dual monitor set-up. I love it dearly, because I’m almost always multi-tasking. (I have Hulu running on my other monitor right now as I’m typing this).

A sparkly rhinestone tape dispenser with pencil holder for my go to adhesive tape and often used pencils. I love that I got it on a super clearance for .75 cents due to it had been damaged. I brought it home and repaired the missing rhinestone areas and added my bling to make it pop! It always makes me smile to know I saved this bright and cheerful little guy from being taken to the stores dumpster.

I have lots of things on my desk that make me happy, photos of family and friends, colorful rolls of twine, jars of buttons, bright copic markers. But, the one thing that really makes me smile is an altered wooden candy box, made for me by one of my Chemo Angel buddies years ago. It’s so special and really cherished, every time I look at it, I remember her fondly.

A ribbon holder made by my lovely husband. DIY is definitely NOT his thing, but he knew I was having trouble finding something suitable, so he bit the bullet and made one just to please me. Okay, so maybe its a bit wonky but it was made with love and that’s what counts!
