My pink and black trash can. It is really a decorative flower pot with a plastic liner that contained a petite rose bush that my husband gave me for Valentine’s Day. It makes me happy every time I see it. The rose bush now lives outside in the garden and is happy, too.
A handcarved wooden box that i cherish made by my father in wich i keep my crafting tools. He died suddenly one year ago and everytime i open the box i remember him and the love he put into making the box.

My six year old daughter is always making something so my desk has about 10 little things she’s made at any one time. I am always rotating them off my desk because she is constantly creating! She loves paper, glitter, drawing and making pretty things just like her Mom!

A sparkly rhinestone tape dispenser with pencil holder for my go to adhesive tape and often used pencils. I love that I got it on a super clearance for .75 cents due to it had been damaged. I brought it home and repaired the missing rhinestone areas and added my bling to make it pop! It always makes me smile to know I saved this bright and cheerful little guy from being taken to the stores dumpster.

But, the one thing that really makes me smile is an altered wooden candy box, made for me by one of my Chemo Angel buddies years ago. It’s so special and really cherished, every time I look at it, I remember her fondly.

since I’m sitting at my computer desk and have been working on taxes, there’s not much to like other than my 29 gallon aquarium with my beautiful cichlids. It’s very relaxing even while I’m working on taxes right up to the last minute.
This is so silly, but my favorite thing on my desk right now (aside from pics of my kiddos) is my Kleenex box! It has this really great gray and white quatrefoil design…it’s the little things!

A ribbon holder made by my lovely husband. DIY is definitely NOT his thing, but he knew I was having trouble finding something suitable, so he bit the bullet and made one just to please me. Okay, so maybe its a bit wonky but it was made with love and that’s what counts!
My desk is one long counter!! I love my computer…what would I do without that? I have an angel holding a butterfly that my BFF gave me and on her dress it reads: Friends are a life long treasure! Of course my PTI stamps are sitting within arms reach in a plastic bin (actually three plastic bins!!) I do love PTI stamps!!

My favorite thing is actually the window that my desk sits up against. I get terrific light from it and I can see our pool and neighborhood lake whenever I look up. It is a view I find lovely and calming no matter what the weather is like or what time of day it is.
