Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

You're Sweet Card
I could hardly wait to start creating with Bigger Blooms and pairing the flowers up with their "little sisters" found in Mini Blooms!

Pierced holes

To begin, I focused on my background.  I started with a block of Winter Wisteria cardstock and impressed it with the new Cover Plate: Chevron Horizontal, using the same sandwich that I would normally use for an impression plate.  I then pierced holes at each intersection of three stripes using a paper piercer and foam mousepad underneath.  These holes gave me the perfect opportunity to do a bit of stitching with some bold white crochet thread.

Stitched borders
The stitched stripes are a fantastic background detail and also add some fun texture!  I'm looking forward to experimenting with this technique some more using various colors of embroidery floss, metallic twine or even stringing a few beads along the way too.

Flower comparison
Next I die-cut & stamped my flowers.  This photo shows the sizes from the two different sets side-by-side.  I used Blueberry Sky, Hibiscus Burst and Royal Velvet to create these.

Flowers
By having small and large versions of each design, I am able to stack them on top of one another to create amazing dimension!  A few Blueberry Sky felt leaves (die-cut with a Bigger Blooms die) were added around the flowers to add balance.  Mini rhinestones dot the centers of the flowers.

Down

I used Fillable Frames #7 to ground the sentiment.  The frame was stamped with Blueberry Sky and the sentiment (from Bigger Blooms) was added in True Black.  Everything was mounted onto a Royal Velvet card base.

Today is a Good Day Card
Next up is a fun chevron card that uses a new favorite color scheme!  I die-cut the Cover Plate: Chevron Vertical from Classic Kraft cardstock and popped out the extra stripes.  TIP: Start saving the stripes you take out of this die!  You'll end up with a bin of several different colors that you can use on future projects!  I then cut additional stripes using Simply Chartreuse, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores.  Everything was adhered together onto the front of a white card base.

Side
I die-cut a circular window from the front cover using the Limitless Layers: 1-3/4" Circle die.

Sentiment
I heat embossed one of the fabulous sentiments from Live Love Life onto Clear Cardstock using VersaMark and white Filigree Embossing Powder.  It was then adhered behind the circle using Scor-tape.

Bottom edge
I cut the bottom edge of the cover along the tops of the triangles that made up the first stripe.  This made a great finishing detail.

Down
I adhered a block of Soft Stone cardstock inside the card to provide contrast behind the white heat embossed sentiment.

Live Love Life Card
I was going through some older supplies the other day and stumbled across my Claudine Hellmuth Studio Sticky-back Canvas, in natural specifically.  I thought it might be fun to play around with it using one of the new Cover Plates.

Chevron
So, I die-cut the sticky-back canvas with the Cover Plate: Chevron Horizontal die.  I removed the stripes and prepared to watercolor them using Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf ink refills.  I found it was best to wet the canvas stripes a bit with water and then add my color from the outside edge, working my way inward.  This was I ended up with a really pretty ombre look.  I allowed the stripes to dry and then popped them back into the natural Cover Plate frame.  The finished effect is amazing, especially in real life!

Bird
I die-cut the ADORABLE birdie from Polka Dot Parade #5 from white cardstock and stamped the main body using New Leaf.  For the wing, I inked the coordinating image with Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf to repeat the ombre-style.  I die-cut an extra belly piece from vintage book print and adhered it in place.  For the legs, I glued two pieces of black twine on the back in just the right spot.

Down
The sweet bird is grounded on top of a strip of Aqua Mist cardstock that has been stamped with one of the sentiments from Live Love Life using True Black ink.

Framed Thank You Card
My next project is just a simple little thank you card, but I think it has an understated elegance to it!

Flowers
I stamped the Bigger Blooms (and a touch of Mini Blooms) flowers and leaves first onto white cardstock.  Melon Berry & Berry Sorbet were used for the flowers.  Then I layered Aqua Mist & Hawaiian Shores with leaves from both sets, finished with some Pinefeather berries and Ocean Tides accents.  a touch of Prisma Glitter was added to the berries using a two-way glue pen.

Sentiment
The sentiment (from Live Love Life) was added to the center of the focal block using True Black ink.  I then used a black pen and ruler to add the black frame around the entire block.

Down
For the card base, I began with Aqua Mist cardstock.  I then stamped the cover vertically with Super Stripes using Fresh Snow ink.

Heart Happy Card
For my last card today, I used this amazing chevron stripe from Live Love Life, just one of the cool pattern building elements found in the set.

Stripes
I stamped the stripes several times in a row using lots of different colors to form a rainbow of sorts.  Scarlet Jewel, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Rip Avocado, Aqua Mist and Enchanted Evening.

Sentiment
I added the sentiment and arrow to the middle of the row of stripes using True Black ink. I heat embossed the large chevron pattern from the set with White Filigree Embossing Powder onto the back of vellum cardstock and punched out a small circle.  I added the "U", stamped in black, on top of it with foam tape.
