Cutting apart your clear stamps is an easy, versatile, and safe way of adding more options to your stamping projects. Erin Lincoln's here this week to give you a few pointers when it comes to choosing good canidates when it comes to performing a little microtip surgery to your beloved supplies. It's not as scary as it sounds…trust us.
Here are some still shots of today's project.

Love the card! I too cut stamps apart when I need to. At first I felt bad about cutting them but as you said, I just fit them back together when I want it whole again.

I love your cute “you”! Combined with that gingham paper and doilie it’s the sweetest thank you ever! I’m sure the families of your daughter’s friends know about her new sibling and will be thrilled to get this hand-crafted thank you whenever it happens to arrive! TFS!

Great video and card!

When I cut my stamps, I always make it a curved or S-cut, or one that has a little jagged or squared off section in the cut line; the stamp itself dictates which. That way the pieces fit back together exactly like a puzzle. My first cutting of a stamp was a straight line which made it hard to get exactly lined up later when I wanted to use the whole stamp.
Great video and cute card! I would never have thought to use a ladybug instead of an “o”- you are SO creative, Erin!

Great idea with the button stamp. I am always shying away from those sets because I don’t want to send the buttons through the mail. I will be taking another look. THANKS!
