Make It Monday #41: Essential Glue Pad Tips

By November 14, 2011Make It Monday

The holidays are right around the corner and projects are begging for some extra special treatment. Join Jenn this week in learning how an Essential Glue Pad makes adding flocking, glitter, and Perfect Pearls to your project a snap. Rest assured, the adhesive will stick!

Stills of Jenn's projects:

If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.

–A new Make It Monday Challenge & video will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.

–Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge.  Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and features flocking, glitter, or Perfect Pearls adhered to a stamped image.

–Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).

-Add your project to our —>InLinkz List HERE<—

–You will have until 7am, Monday, November 21st, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win.  And you can enter as many times as you like.

–We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project.  These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye.  The tweets/Facebook postings no longer have any special merit regarding the actual contest.

–One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday, November 21st, after 7am.  The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook.  The randomly selected winner will get to select a FREE Papertrey stamp set of their choice!

Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing your projects!

Edited to add this week's winner: Congratulations to Sonia Holland, #20! Please contact customer service with your mailing information and choice of stamp set.

Great projects and tips! I forgot I have one of these glue pads, flock and Perfect Pearls–I will need to get them out and make some tags! Thanks for the inspiration!

Great challenge this week! I look forward to trying it! Just to let you know…I think there may be a problem with the InLinkz link…I got an error when I clicked on it.

Great ideas, I have Perfect Pearls but seldom use them, now i can’t wait. Very pretty tags!

Thank you for the timely video. I usually read all the directions……but not for my glue pad. Wow, did I learn a lot. Needing to ink the pad often, and being able to wait two minutes before applying a medium, are revelations. Thank you too for using the intimidating clear card stock and vellum. Christmas will be just a bit more sparkly this year!

I bought a glue pad quite a while ago, but haven’t used it. Now I can’t wait to, with the ultra fine glitter! Thanks for the lesson!

I was a little doubtful that the glue pad would work, I had tried it before with little success and different materials. I’m so excited to find that it works great!
