Building on last week's message concerning the multi-uses of dies, Heather is bringing us another useful tip today. Have you ever thought of embossing with our dies? We've kept the technique in mind when designing them by leaving out the pin hole. You could even say PTI dies are made for embossing. Watch Heather's video to learn more.
Here are some shots of Heather's project. Love how she both embossed with the dies and used them traditionally.
If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.
–A new Make It Monday Challenge & video will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.
–Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product of some kind and emboss your project with dies.
–Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).
–Add your link to our —>InLinkz List<—
–You will have until 7am, Monday, April 25th, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win. And you can enter as many times as you like.
–We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project. These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye. The tweets/Facebook postings no longer have any special merit regarding the actual contest.
–One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday, April 25th, after 7am. The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook. The randomly selected winner will get to select a FREE Papertrey stamp set of their choice!
Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing your projects!

Who knew?
So cute! Great card Heather! I was surprised to see the sandwich that you used for embossing, and I love that it cuts one layer with embossing the other at the same time.
I just love the Make it Monday series! Thank you for bringing it to us! What a fun technique this week!
Holy Cow that’s an awesome card! Great technique and good tip about covering the embossing side against the scarred plates lol. I wouldn’t have thought of that until it was too late.
Love the added dimension 🙂 Great card & video!!!
Great technique Heather! I am going to try one on my own and then I am going to scraplife your fabulous creation!
Adorable card! I love the tutorial! THanks so much for sharing this! Much appreciated 🙂
Great video, love the card and such a great idea! Thanks!
Can I play along if I don’t have PTI dies?
Well, I’ve been waffling over whether to get Up, Up and Away – now I think my mind is made up! Love your card, Heather!
I broke my cuttlebug trying to do this challenge. Needless to say I used the wrong sandwich – at least I think I did. I cracked the plastic. So now I have a Big Shot coming my way. Now I am going to rewatch the video and see what I was supposed to do…excited for my new toy though hopefully it won’t brake if I make a mistake…
I did that exact sandwich and it didn’t work. I guess it was time for it to bite the dust. Oh and I meant break…silly me.
Great card! Love the technique, which I have actually tried a few times, but what I really love is that pop of color on the card binding! So unexpected and fun!!!
Great video. Thanks for the tips. I will have to try this.
I haven’t had a chance to actually view the video yet, but once I am home behind my own pc I am sure going to. That sounds just too interesting – being able to emboss with dies!!
What a super cute card, Heather! I love Up, Up & Away-need to put it on my list. You’re right the die cut embossed clouds at that perfect look to this card:)
I am new to this and I have a Cuttlebug but … just cannot figure out WHICH template you are using to cut the clouds. Which company are they from? This card is very beautiful. Thank you
HEATHER, THAT IS FAN*FREAKIN’*TASTIC!!! I LOVE YOUR ENTIRE CARD…PERFECTION! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! 😀
Love your card, Heather! Love the technique too.
Wow, Heather, this card and video are fantastic!! You did a sensational job with both. You also have a lovely voice. TFS.
Love this idea, although I am kinda scared to try it after reading that others have broke their machine trying!!
OMG!!!! YAY!!!! I’m so excited!!!
Gorgeous card and great video!
Thanks
Great tutorial – cannot wait to try!
I purchased the a-mazing die set. I cant figure out how Erin Lincoln used the die to emboss the maze. Can anyone help??
