TIPS: 

  • Use your favorite paper scraps for the tiny details on the bear.  The ears, paws, bib, cheeks, etc. all look so charming with bit of pattern added to them.
  • Create a soft lullaby background using the Amazing Grace stamp inked up in Sweet Blush.

OTHER: White Acrylic Marker, Foam Tabs, Fine-tip marker: tan, brown, Distress Oxide Ink: Tattered Rose, Walnut Stain, Copic Sketch Markers, Bee Creative Precision Glue

TIPS: 

  • Add a background quilt for the bear. Create pattern fabrics using markers and white acrylic markers. Make florals, polka dots and designs to create coordinating quilt fabrics.
  • Use a foam tab behind bear nose and back paws to make the bear dimensional on the card. 
  • To create a little cap for the bear, cut an additional head shape in a color that matches the bear’s outfit/body. Use an oval die to “scoop” out the cap to expose the face. A little cap is perfect for making a card appropriate for a boy or girl.
  • Highlight the stitching on the bear by connecting the faux stitching dots using a fine tip marker. Tan is a great color to use. It shows, but remains subtle.

TIPS: 

  • Use a mix of patterned papers for an easy card front that adds interest and pattern.
  • Use the Cover Plate: Handmade Quilt Die to add a quilt like texture to the quilt square.
  • Stamp and die cut the Welcome sentiment and then die cut the sentiment from white cardstock two more time. Adhere the layers together to add dimension to the sentiment.

TIPS: 

  • Use the Handmade Quilt Die to add texture to the card front. 
  • Use foam tape to attached the quilt pattern and hat for added dimensions.
  • Die cut the quilt squares from white cardstock and then blend Spring Rain over the white quilt squares to highlight the stitching pattern.
