Kelly Lunceford celebrates one of life’s sweetest milestones with this charming baby card, filled with delicate florals, soft gingham, and a beautifully layered buggy focal point. 🌸🍼 Framed with Sweet Blush layers and accented with detailed die cuts from the Build-a-Baby Buggy and Into the Blooms: Wild Wood sets, this 5 x 7 design feels both elegant and heartfelt. From the softly shaded carriage to the ink blended blooms and stitched accents, every detail is thoughtfully chosen to honor such a joyful occasion.
Kelly shares, “Welcoming a new baby is one of the joys of life! I love creating cards with special attention to detail when celebrating momentous occasions like this! It’s also fun to coordinate a handmade card with the baby’s gift or tailor it to the theme of the shower; either way, a special handmade card is sure to become a treasured keepsake for years to come.”
STEP 1: Create a 5 x 7 card base from Vintage Cream cardstock. Cut a Sweet Blush frame and adhere it to the base using foam squares.
STEP 2: Cut the oval from gingham paper and mounted it to the card base using foam squares.
STEP 3: Cut all of the pieces needed for the baby buggy. Add some shading around the carriage portion. Glue everything together and adherent to the oval using foam squares.
STEP 4: Cut and color all of the flowers and foliage using ink and blender brushes. Arrange them around the frame and buggy until you’re satisfied with the arrangement.
STEP 5: Stamp the sentiment with black ink and cut it out. Attach it to the bottom of the card using foam squares.
STEP 6: Add glitter to the flowers and leaves and adhesive pearls to the baby buggy.
This project is a beautiful reminder that celebrating life’s biggest blessings deserves extra care and creativity. 💕 Whether you’re designing for a baby shower or welcoming a little one home, combining layered frames, soft florals, and meaningful sentiments creates a card that feels truly special.
