TIPS: 

  • Add a touch of darker ink to the centers of the flowers by dabbing darker ink onto the stamp with a small blending brush.
  • Add a different texture with a bow created with jute twine.
  • Stencil the background in the same colors as your focal point to create a cohesive look.

CARDSTOCK: Stampers’ Select White, Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold
INK: True Black
OTHERS: Foam Tabs, Fine-tip black Marker, Copic Sketch Markers, Bee Creative Precision Glue

TIPS: 

  • When you can’t find the right sentiment for your card, use the Classic Alphabet to create one.
  • When positioning your Classic Alphabet letters, line them up on lined-guided paper. Place a long piece of removable highlighter tape over the perfectly placed letters and lift them up with the tape. Flip them over to add glue to the back of the letters and then position on your card. They’ll be perfectly lined every time!
  • While the die set creates a die looking right, you can flip the die cut pieces over and create a left facing rooster for a cute pair!
  • Try adding new one-of-a-kind designs to your rooster. Add to the stencil designs or create your own pattern like the blue rosebuds and leaves shown.

    I loved Melissa Phillips’ Basket of Blooms, with monochromatic foiled background floral and the subtly colored basket with sparkly embellishments around it!
    The Country Roosters were tough to pick from! I’m gonna go with the boldest design here – Brenda Noelke’s “Good Cluck” black & white card with the bright white rooster sitting majestically on top!

  93. I am crazy for the Country Rooster and the stencils for decorating it. I have a long-legged rooster like this in my kitchen that I got from Hobby Lobby more than a few years ago. The adorable DT cards have me thinking that my own rooster may need a makeover.

Then here comes the cutest rooster colored with stencils. This is a must have! I already have great sentiments that will be perfect with the rooster! I loved every one of those cards.
