Welcome to Day 2 of the June Countdown. We have more wonderful products that you will love creating with and I can’t wait to share them with you!
We’re starting off with our new Reflections: June Mini Stamp set and die. You know that Reflections is one of my favorite series because it’s so uplifting, and I just adore all of the projects the design team has created with this beautiful verse.
Betty is our featured designer today, and this card is amazing! I love how she tucked the verse into her gatefold to be revealed when you pull it out.
Betty starts her project off with a pink card base. Then she added a layer with our new Fantastic Front: Scalloped Frame die, which is fabulous. The patterned paper she uses on top of that is wonderful and I love how it pulls together all of the colors she uses in this project. Next is the gatefold she created with the Elegant Arches die and finally, those beautiful flowers from a set that cannot be mentioned yet!

Betty’s second card is so beautiful! To create her background, she ran one of the stencils from our Pro Stamper’s Box: April 2024 through her die-cut machine. I love doing that, it’s such a great way to add texture to your background. Her next layer was created using the Delicate Circle die. This die always adds the perfect touch to any project, it’s one of my favorites. Make sure you look at the thread Betty used behind the Delicate Circle Die, that is the best detail! The last, but perfect addition, is the beautiful flower sprigs from Elegant Arch.

Betty’s last project is really fun! I love how she piled on all of the patterned paper layers. They look so great together! She finishes this card off with flowers from Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties and some Twine, spectacular!

- I found some fun vintage pattern papers from my stash. I wanted to mute the flower colors to match. I used fine linen ink first, then I blended the brighter color to create a softer version of the ink color.
- I used a foam pad and rounded pen cap to smoosh in the flower centers to create a more rounded dimensional look.
- Don’t forget to use your gorgeous stencils as embossing textures. Follow your machine’s manufacturers suggestions for beautifully embossed detail.
- Instead of keeping pattern paper die cuts perfectly flat, bend up the edges to create added dimension.
- Use your dies in fun and different ways. I combined the new arches dies to create a type of envelope for the scripture.
- Use a paintbrush end to wrap the hemp cord around to create soft and flower tendrils to your bows. Wrap the hemp cord tightly around the paintbrush and hold between your fingers for a few seconds.
- Use a paper distressing tool to “roughen” the edges of papers for an added detail.
Next up is our new Elegant Arch Stamp Set and die. I truly love this simple, yet beautifully appointed set. Nina has created this wonderfully simple card that really showcases how powerful this set can be. The sentiment she chose to include inside the arch is from our Birthday Your Way II Stamp Set and it fits perfectly with the companion sentiment she added at the bottom. Finally, she added a few of the flower sprigs that are included with Elegant Arch and it just looks so classically elegant. I can imagine using this set for any occasion because of its timeless design.

TIPS:
- To create a matching mat for the heat embossed image, heat emboss the edges of a piece of cardstock before adhering.
- Anchor sentiments with pearls
