Welcome to Day 2 of the May Countdown. We have more wonderful products that you will love creating with! Big, easy-to-use sentiments, paired with an array of picnic items, will have you creating summer cards and projects that will make you smile the entire time you’re putting them together. I was smiling and I didn’t even know it, my mom called me out! It was just really fun and I loved how they turned out.
We’re starting off with our new Life’s a Picnic Sentiments. Just the title of these stamps makes me feel happy and sunny! And then, we’re going to pair those sentiments with our Picnic Time dies so you can create the whole picnic scene. So, let’s get started.
JJ is our feature designer today, and wow, I love this card! It’s simple, yet every single pie on this card looks real! The reason… the Picnic Time dies are AMAZING! I love how they were designed because with a few cuts, you can make all of these pies. There’s even a die-cut to create the piece of pie!
I really love how she used the pies to enhance the 4th of July theme, making one pie red, one blue, and then the flag, it’s so clever. And don’t forget, when you’re making pies, you definitely need to add a little sugar to the crust, okay, it’s actually coarse glitter so don’t let anyone lick it! =)

JJ’s next card is just as adorable as the pies! She starts with a wonderful blue background accented with distress sprays, then she used the Wood Plank Stamp Set as a blanket to the set the stage for her picnic goodies. Next she added the “paper plates” and then all the delicious traditional picnic foods using the Picnic Time dies.
I love all of the detail JJ added using a white gel pen. Just adding a few accent lines here and there makes such a difference. Finally, her card is finished off with one of my favorite sentiments from the Life’s a Picnic Stamp Set, because it is absolutely true, there is nothing better than good food, good friends, and sunshine!

Cornered: Summer Sun is up next and I absolutely adore this card by Seeka! It’s simple, yet makes a big splash! She got started by cutting out her top layer of cardstock using 2 of the Cornered: Summer Sun corners at a time so she only had to run them through her die machine twice. She then created the rainbow layer underneath. I am partial to rainbows and I love how she ink-blended it in a circle to match each quadrant of her die-cut Cornered: Summer Suns, it’s perfect!
By adding some distress spray to her rainbow, it makes it look like spray art, which is so cool and trendy.
