We’ve got a fun, new challenge for you here on the Papertrey Ink Blog. Instead of cards, we’re challenging you to use our supplies to create birthday tags! Tags are such a delightful way to use your favorite Papertrey Ink supplies, and jumpstart your creativity. Melody and I are sharing a few ideas with you to get your creative juices flowing.
Melody has used our darling, Birthday Tag Kit to create her tag trio. I love the long shape of this tag and the vertical, die cut “Hooray” that are included in the kit. Her theme of cherries is used throughout her tags and looks completely adorable.
Here she’s used the Love to Layer: Decorative Brackets die as her tag base, followed by cheerful So Cherry Sweet Stencils. I love her white embossed sentiment over her Pure Poppy die cut circle, from the Birthday Tag Kit.
This last tag might just be my most favorite, as I love the layering! Melody has used the same products on this tag, just mixing up the elements a bit. Her die cut sentiment looks so cute over her stenciled background, doesn’t it? And, I love the use of the Pure Poppy buttons and wooden clothespins as accents. You can find these elements inside the Birthday Tag Kit as well.

I’ve also used the Birthday Tag Kit on my tags….this kit makes creating tags so creative and fun! The possibilities are endless with all of the different images, elements, and embellishments included in this set.
I used the Love to Layer: Rectangles and Iconic Easter dies to create my tag bases. I die cut the bottom layer from patterned paper and the center, scalloped layer from coordinating cardstock including Aqua Mis and Lemon Tart.
I love the border stamps included in the Birthday Tag Kit stamp set. You’ll find scattered dots, stripes, and more and they create the funnest borders. I added die cut sentiments on coordinating layered, die cut circles and squares. I embellished with buttons, a die cut paper bow, clothespins, and sequins, all from the Birthday Tag Kit.
