Hi everybody, welcome to our next episode of The Great Cover-Up!
Let’s get started!
True Black cardstock. Let’s talk about it. It can be a fantastic option for a background and nice change from white. It can be embossed for texture or left with open space to distress if you like. It can make a card pop especially with florals. I chose to make a black card with gorgeous florals, some splatter with metallic watercolor, and texture with the addition of a tone on tone border die.
Starting with a black True Black cardstock panel, the largest Skinny Heart Frames Die was also done in black cardstock and adhered to the panel. Lots of florals and leaves from Prosperous Perennials were stamped and die cut. The fun part of this is making an arrangement! After deciding on the layout, the florals and leaves were adhered some with liquid glue and some with foam adhesive. Once this was done, the panel was splattered with gold watercolor using a small paintbrush for a fine splatter. The ‘hello’ die cut, from On the Border: Leaves Die, was done with gold cardstock and layered with a few layers of white cardstock for dimension. Once adhered, the card was embellished with various gold gems.

FYI: The previous challenge cards using felt flowers are showing up on this blog post. At least that’s what I’m seeing on my iPad.
