Hi everybody, welcome to our next episode of The Great Cover-Up! This weekly feature is all about using pigment type inks. Amy will be your guide today!
Let’s get started!
This week’s technique is all about finding unconventional ways to mix and match stamps! I had this idea in mind since the very first time I set my eyes in the She Blooms stamp set. I knew I could create a gorgeous floral dress for her by using various floral dies from PTI.
This card is super easy to recreate. I first started off by ink blending the edges of a dark green cardstock using matching dye ink and added some glitter splatters using shimmer watercolors from InkOn3. I then heat embossed the the upper body of the girl from ‘She Blooms’ using white embossing powder. Later, I die cut a bunch of florals and foliage from various die sets and colored them using colored pencils to retain the debossed details. Finally, I added some details using a white gel pen and added a sentiment to finish it off!
I hope this inspires you to try out unconventional combos.. for extra inspiration, here is a similar flamingo that I made a while back:
OTHER: white embossing powder, gold glitter cardstock
