Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

My first project today uses the gorgeous Gran's Garden. I fully believe that it impossible to make an ugly card with this set! It's so easy to use and provided such stunning results!
I die-cut all of the various pieces and stamped them with the coordinating images using ink a shade darker than the cardstock. For the "shading" layer of the images, I stamped a second time in the same color for a subtle look.
The leaves are adhered directly to the card front, while the flowers are popped up with dimensional tape.
- STAMPS: Gran's Garden (available April 15th) Fresh Bouquet
- INK: Pure Poppy, Canyon Clay, Cocoa Bean, VersaMark, Saffron Spice
- PAPER: Berry Sorbet, Orange Zest, Saffron Spice, Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White
- DIES: Gran's Garden dies
- OTHER: white gel pen, White Filigree Embossing Powder
I've always felt that yellows and grays paired together create such a sophisticated look. That look paired with Gran's Garden is just a match made in heaven!
The flowers are created with layers of Bright Buttercup and Summer Sunrise.
The leaves are added in Soft Stone for a nice subtle look. I made sure to overlap some of the leaves over the flowers to make it look more cohesive.
The sentiment is from the new Pen & Ink, loving how large this is!
- STAMPS: Gran's Garden, Pen & Ink
- INK: Soft Stone, Summer Sunrise, Bright Buttercup, Smokey Shadow
- PAPER: Soft Stone, Stamper's Select White
The new Quoted set is full of gorgeous detail that you can choose to color or not. Here I put my Zig markers to work with it.
The image was heat embossed with white filigree embossing powder onto watercolor paper.
Splashes of color were added with the markers, then I went back in and added water to blend everything together.
- STAMPS: Quoted: Start Again
- INK: VersaMark
- PAPER: Aqua Mist, watercolor paper
- OTHER: Zig Clean Color Markers, watercolor brush, White Filigree Embossing Powder
For this one I opted to use Copic markers to incorporate some pops of color.
Stamped in black onto kraft for something a bit different. After the coloring was completed I added a few accents with a white gel pen.
I cut the mat with the Mix & Mat: Scallops die, bending the mat slightly upward along the stitching lines to give it some dimension.
- STAMPS: Quoted: Start Again
- INK: Noir Palette
- PAPER: Ocean Tides, Classic Kraft
- DIES: Mix & Mat: Scallops dies
- OTHER: Copic Markers, White Gel Pen
The previously released Botanical Letters now has a new friend, Botanical Lowercase. This set uses the same font and point size as the original, only it offers a lowercase option so you can spell out words and phrases without using all caps. The lowercase option does not feature any spaces or florals like the caps, they are just plain so you can allow the caps to always have center stage.
I used multiple fun colors to stamp each of the letters to form the word "Happy".
"Birthday" is a partial inking of a stamp from the new Initial Sentiments: Birthday.
- STAMPS: Botanical Lowercase, Botanical Letters
- INK: Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Simply Chartreuse, True Black
- PAPER: Stamper's Select, Aqua Mist
Michelle Leone is joining me today, featuring Gran's Garden.
I just love these bold pops of color on kraft and how the are assembled behind the kraft banner. Everything has a wonderful unified look. Michelle created some great balance by selecting the particular banner she did for the sentiment, it is just a bit wider than the mat so it helps to carry your eye around the card the front.
- STAMPS: Gran’s Garden, Ways to Say: Birthday
- PAPER: Kraft, Old Olive
- INK: Kraft, Old Olive, Raspberry Fizz, Scarlet Jewel, Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet
- DIES: Gran’s Garden, Banner Style, Mix & Mat: Scallops
Using Gran's Garden for backgrounds like this is a gorgeous application. Think of all the color combos you could create! The tiny pearls at the center of many of the smaller flowers is a wonderful touch and a nice textural element.
- STAMPS: Gran’s Garden, Botanical Letters, Keep It Simple: Mother
- PAPER: Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist
- INK: Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Green Parakeet, New Leaf
- DIES: Botanical Letters, Tag Sale: Quilted
This card stands out right away as a showstopper! The bright combo of Enchanted Evening and Pure Poppy is softened slightly with the addition of the Aqua Mist leaves. The gold sequins and embossing gives it a boutique look and feel.
- STAMPS: Gran’s Garden, Pen & Ink, Painted Petals
- PAPER: Enchanted Evening, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist
- INK: Aqua Mist, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Enchanted Evening
Heather Nichols is joining me today, featuring Quoted: Start Again.
The bold contrast of all these jewel tones against the crisp what accents is just divine! I am particularly fond of how the lacy die-cut details look when paired with the details of the Quoted image stamped in white. You would think it would be "too much", but it works so well and actually helps to bring attention to the stamped sentiment.
- STAMPS: Quoted: Start Again, Gran’s Garden
- INK: Fresh Snow, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Prairie Grass, Olive Twist, Cocoa Bean
- PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, kraft
- DIES: Lovely Lace mini kit
Heather shows you that you can multiply your design options by masking off the bottom portion of the stamp. Because it is so much shorter, you can apply it to completely different layouts, like she did here.
- STAMPS: Quoted: Start Again Card
- INK: True Black, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal
- PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
- DIES: Noted: Scalloped Square, Lovely Lace mini kit
- OTHER: Clean Color Markers (Zig), white gel pen (Uniball)
Heather always has a way with watercoloring, and this project is a shining example of that. The soft colors and all the wonderful shading make this a card that any recipient would love to most likely frame!

- PAPER: kraft, watercolor (Hobby Lobby)
